  • "I've been an RN for my entire life." I'd love to ask this nurse to explain how artificial insemination is "genetic manipulation." Using a pipet (i.e., turkey baster) to transfer a liquid from one area to another has nothing to do with manipulating genes. Instead of constantly referring to science, I think she should go take some biology classes at the local community college.

  • Healthy, unique, stable marriages: Lakota chief Crazy Horse had one or two male spouse(s) and many other Native American nations also have had same-sex marriages. Ethnographers documented these and more. Some examples: Omahas, Zapotecs, Mohaves, Crow, Winnebago, Yumas and more. Other cultures too. In 17th century Fukian Province China, same-sex marriages between gay men seem to have been common. And in West Africa, "woman marriage[s]" practiced by many tribes.

  • We need a lot more research on the mental health of this angry, mean spirited, despicable woman. She must be an angry closet case.

  • If you ever want to see the effects of the complete devastation of American public education to below the standard of some Third-World nations, then this is a good example.

  • crazy homophobic racist bitch.

All these people's opinion's are so one-sided. These people suck.

  • Considering her age, her parents may not have had the right to choose an abortion.....so sad.

  • She is right though marriage is a Rite, it is a ceremony BUT it grants rights from t he government to heterosexuals while denying those same rights to GL couples. But since she states that it is a rite meaning to me at least a religious ceremony... what about the churches that are desirous of granting that rite to us? Why does the LAW forbid our religions from practicing freely those rites that it desires to since they harm none.

  • I support GAY MARRIAGE.....children need LOVE, not HATE.

  • That's soooo funny... I'm laghing to bits here .... LOL

  • "The children of gay people... have to have donors"

So do the children of straight people. Just because their donors deposit their material straight into a woman's hoo-hoo rather than into a little cup that doesn't make them special.

Any dog in heat can mate and get knocked up. It takes devoted people to plan a family for which they are truly ready and deserving.

  • genetic manipulation? what about inbreeding? Jeezus!

  • Silly hats only.

  • Someone get this woman a tinfoil hat... Yeesh.

  • North Carolina, and everyone in it, has always been a joke.

  • What a turd.

  • blackness?

  • Wow, I need to drink a beer to calm down just from watching her. We need better healthcare reform in this country just so this woman can get some meds.

  • Surely there's a tinfoil hat underneath that wide-brim.

I feel very sorry for the folks under her care.

Her "research" is an echo chamber of fools. Nice.

  • I'm so very glad she' on "their" side. Holy Mackerel.

  • Where to start?! She refuses to talk about heterosexual couples who are artificially inseminated but is more than happy to about lesbian couples who are artificially inseminated. She is not willing to deny heterosexual families their rights but is more than willing to deny homosexual families their rights?? Please! If you must deny rights to one then you must deny rights to all.

  • She quotes a study from "The Ruth Institute"/ This woman is insane.

  • Hahahaha! What roaches NOM attracts.

  • Oh my god. IDIOT

  • That hat is destroying America.

  • RUN AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She's coming with her pitchfork!

And P.S. The Ruth Institute is a pile of bullocks. Duh!

  • Terrifying.

  • This woman is a lunatic.

  • Their ignorance and bigotry is obvious.

There are no "donor studies", all peer reviewed studies have shown no difference in how children are raised.

I don't believe she has never denied access to a loved one in hospitol. It is too common, and she is too bigoted to not be one.

  • Why are people so interested in how children are made? It's not like there aren't enough accidental children who are neglected and abused, who is gonna take care of them if you don't allow infertile couples (gays included) to adopt?

  • Do not read anything on the Ruth Institute website , it's more rubbish made up by NOM !

  • Wow...that's some deep-down crazy ya got there.

  • bitch in a hat is stupid, seriously

  • ladies and gentlemen, behold, the true face of stupidity.

  • "I can't speak for the black community," she says, and yet she does it anyway. Awesome.

  • "The children of gay people... have to have donors" Wow.. she nailed that one!! Now I know why, no matter how many times we tried, my partner and I haven't had a child. Thanks Joann! LOL. I know its a serious issue, but that line made me laugh.

  • She is an embarrassment to North Carolinians

  • Comment removed

  • Lady, we have research. There have been about 200 different studies about kids raised in same sex households. They turn out just fine.

  • "I'm not going there." Of course you aren't. Of course you're not going to back up your stupid nonsense claims.

  • the very fact that she believes *anything* on the Ruth Institute site as verifiable scientific research just shows how ignorant and gullible she is. Sad.

  • She's completely terrified, isn't she?

  • does this woman have any children of her own???

    I sure hope not.

  • Based on her arguments, ban black children.

  • Wow, I'm embarrassed just listening to her.

  • OMG Psycho woman in a big funny hat. The Ruth website is NOM's bitch. There is no impirical data behind their rants. There are two kinds of people in this world, those that have a developed intellect and have embraced rational thinking, and those that either from laziness or ignorance or both have chose to wallow in self perpetuating blindness to all things that contradict the status quo. Amazing. Too bad ignorance isn't painful.

  • And who deprived African American families their fundamental rights to begin with?

this woman seems disturbed by all the false ideas she is been fed. I hope that time and exposure to different people, will bring her clarity and peace.

  • lol This lady is crazy.

  • @ScuubaSteefe

She's acutely psychotic, you can see it in the eyes.

  • @OrthodoxDarwinist I stand corrected then. A "lady" requires class. But this? No. Just no. lol
