actually the mustang has alot of road race experience, the reason why this car is so popular is that you could do alot of shit with this car: road race, drift, drag race, and they even put it back in nascar. it may not the be best at some sports but the fact that it could do it and win some races is impressive enough. mustang is really not that heavy, so it should handle just as good as the import rivals thats in its class. dodge did the challenger half assed but theyre finally paying attention

@ikra many reasons, 1- Main reason is that the Evo's ABS was crap in the rain. 2- The Supra's heavy weight gave it better grip and water displacement properties. 3- The RX-7 had Tsuchiya in it. 4- Orido was driving his own car which he must know like the back of his hand in all conditions and this type of advantage is amplified in the rain.

I mean look at what the Audi Quattro did to the hopeless RWD cars of Rallying when it came about in the early 80's and look what has the Skyline R32 GT-R did to Touring Car races All over the world... The Only way an RWD setup is better is if the Car is to be VERY Light... Like the Ariel Atom for example.. I agree that RWD works on those but not on cars heavier.

they're NOT driving on the slick tires, they driving on a sport tire, or some ppl call it semi-slick tire...

on a wet surface semi slick tire are actually gives you slightly better grip than any other best street tire you can get on the market. but still under this DAMP road condition sport tire would be the 2nd choice after wet tires.

but still driving a 600hp in an FR+sport tires on a damped road like this, equal to driving a stock 240-280hp FR on a $20-30 cheap tires,

I believe 4wd means that you can disengage the system. Many off road vehicles can either electrically or mechanically switch between 2wd and 4wd.

Meanwhile, an AWD vehicle is always powering all 4 wheels.

Most trucks are 4wd.

All cars are AWD.

4wd is meant for off road use.

AWD is meant for on road use.
