  • Do you think that it's possible to have some relationship with the 'ball of fire' that hit Argentina the same day then?

  • @22mar79 No, that was likely just a comoon fireball and would have fallen anyway at that time no matter what else was going on

  • @drkstrong That UARS satellite debris perhaps? Thank you.

  • @22mar79 I think that was in the wrong place and time.

  • @drkstrong They said the debris would hit Earth on September 26, and people even filmed the 'ball of fire' falling from the sky, it killed people there, you know? Do you think it was the debris then?

  • @22mar79 I saw the reports but the satellite came down on an orbit that would have taken it over Australia and canada about as far away as you can get from S. America. The local reports talked of smelling gunpowder so may have been an illegal fireworks factory.

  • @drkstrong But there are even footages and even TV reports showing the 'fireball' coming down, that's the point. And some local reports showed people talking that there was not an explosion at all, that the thing came from the sky. I didn't know about gunpowder report, but that's very probable too. Well, any way, it's useless trying to discover what exactly happened there by ourselves here from distance. Let's wait and see if some news clarify us soon. Thank you, my friend!

  • @22mar79 Yes, lets wait fo r the facts - that is always the best policy

  • like the riddle intresting stuff love history all the talk ov elenin and its that small you can not even see it on lasco 2 and 3

  • @wormywelshdude I said it would be a damp squib but I did not think it would be this damp - veritably water logged!

  • watch?v=QbfWPi0hLSE&feature=channel_video_title

    getting hot

  • @PanjshirGuerrilla Thanks that was neat!

  • You need to ground all your cars and place all electronics inside a metal box w ground.

  • @renukote The main problem is long conductors - like power transmission line, oil pipes, etc where 100's of miles are concerned and then only at high latitudes. Your local electronics is far more threatened by a thunder storm (like the one we are about to get hit by! - I can hear the distant rumbles)

  • Once again, thanks doc for your commitment to bring us all of the latest data. 1302 is huge! Oh my..

  • @MissInformed1967 It is indeed but will it hold together

  • Had plenty of beautiful northern lights in Norway, all the way down to Oslo, which is very very very very rare.. !!!

  • @chemlin I am envious, only ever seemn an aurora once and that was from a plane.

  • Nice work ! Thank you ! :-)))

  • @Alfan838 Thanks, You are welcome

  • Interesting info about Drake. So what's up with comet Elenin?I guess we will know soon in just hours.Dragon Drake. On Sept.29 it will be the feast of trumpets.Look at what the sky is on that date.Virgo with the moon at her feet.Saturn and Venus at her mid section just as the Bible says in Rev. 12. Look like it could be the Rapture. Then the seven years of Tribulation right after. Are you Rapture Ready?

  • @moomman89 Glad you like the riddle.

  • does it will affect us on earth??

  • @jasonx0017 We may get to see some beautiful aurora. Seem to be winding down already

  • Region 11302 looks the same only elongated, now that the western regions have turned the limb, looks like 11302 is calm at this hour...I was stationed in Panama back in 1981 to 1983...JOTC...Jungle Operation Trainning Center...The base of the 193rd Infantry Brigade...at Ft. Clayton...It was a beautiful 2 year tour. Met my wife down there. I can say I drove across the locks many of times. Seen the Island Princes, you know the "LOVE BOAT" three time pass though the locks. Thanks for the post.

  • ☼ ☀ ☼ ☀ ☼ ☀ ☼ ☀ ☼ ☀ ☼ ☀

  • @ChaosButterfly8 I like it!!!! How do you do that?

  • @drkstrong ✄ copy and paste ☺

  • good so far.

  • Thanks for the video Dr.. Excellent riddle, would have stumped Batman.

  • @unnim Glad you liked it. The emblem on the pocket of my school uniform in Devon was the Golden Hind so we were filled up with facts (trivia) about Drake. Must admit I had to look them up again - after 50 years one tends to forget details like that. The main clue was not part of the riddle - that he had completed a major navigatioal feat on this date. Any of th e"on this date lists" would have had that.

  • ... captain jack sparrow perhaps ?

~way off by a parsec; seem they sent me to swim in the cold water lessons again when the class work back that far, they couldn't handle me writing the answer down before it was even asked; that part about Heratio at Trafalgar

  • the power grid of planet earth is doomed when 1302 lets rip tomorrow some time with the elenin alignment.

  • @jamieyoungsongs Your pessimism balances my optimism

  • Btw to bad can't make Live Stream here on youtube will be nice to have a weekly Live stream with everything you do...Sun, History, Astronomy and anything else you do and everyone participating on it

  • @DrakenI78 Way too sophisticated for me.

  • i just saw Region 1302 and it does look big at Nakedeye.....Thanks for the Updates and your time Doc

  • @DrakenI78 Great - nice the get naked-eye confirmation

  • i just saw Region 1302 and it does look big at Nakedeye.....Thanks for the Updates and your time Doc

  • the sun looks angry!! Just hope no bad bursts come our way! I got all my important electonics in protected gound boxes

  • @iam4god2day Should be Ok unless you live up in the polar regions

  • Everything still seem normal doc?

  • @pd2210 Yep

  • @drkstrong okay sir i am counting on you.

  • Wow, every day for the last 3 days we have been breaking the record for the highest solar flux in solar cycle 24. Maybe this is a sign we are finally getting near solar max.

  • @Sp33dyD3m0n certainly is a promising sign

  • youtube.com/watch?v=X0SVK3FUWGk link to recent power outtages

  • Yes, my guess is black beard...that may be too obvious.....Captn Morgan????LOL I know....just one guess :-( Big storm...Doc! Have you ever seen all this action? My best...Holly

  • @Blazenresearcher Black beard - Buzz! :( Morgan - Buzz! :(

  • @drkstrong You sir are way to Buzz Happy! LOL!

  • DrKStrong I sub'd your channel because you are sceptic of the Elenin chatter. Elenin has not broken up, it simply lacks the characteristics of a traditional comet - it is not made of ice and rock, rather iron and rock. IMO it is the catalyst of the suns activity as the Universe is an Electric one - Elenin is a negatively charged object reacting with a positively charged Sun. Like I stated... IMO Peace

  • @MrStoneClark I am sorry but the sun is not charged, nor is Elenin. If a chareg were to build up it would be gone in seconds as ions or electrons from the solar wind would be pulled towards it.

  • @drkstrong Im thinking in an electric universe... Peace

  • is it just me or has the suns color changed to whiter or brighter ?

  • @waterchildtera No the Sun is as it always is. In fact with so many big spots the solar intesity will be down a fraction of a %

  • black beard

  • @waterchildtera Buzz! :(

  • How intense would a geomagnetic storm need to be to knock out power grids at all latitudes?

  • @RyanTheWebGuy Go to NOAA SWPC and click on "Geomagnetic storms" it explains each level and the impacts

  • @drkstrong Thank you for your reply, sir. I've become somewhat of a fanboy of your videos. Keep making and I'll keep watching!

  • @RyanTheWebGuy ...varies by design; better to think "likely hood" when understanding the KP index {not at all what it means in AstroPhysicsElectroMagneticdGeoDynamics speak but for laymens understanding of Carrington storm threat letting the smoke out of my Electronic Crap tech} kp (whaterver) X 10 = %

~kp 8 = 80% probability of conditions conductive to heavy ground currents differential discharge between Lithosphere solid/liquid surface & gas atmosphere layer

=which means EMP protect crap tech

  • Hi Dr. Strong! Thanks for waiting for the good stuff to report on! Just took my son out of waterpolo practice ....can these rays be dangerous from the geomagnetic storm? Thanks!

  • @houndjog Hope the horses did not drown :)

No the worse that cah happen is that you will see a beautiful aurora.

  • I'm siding with Never A Straight Answer on 1302 based only on graphics. Thanks for posting.

  • Boy did I call this or what!!!

  • @humaneyes1 Well done - ask for a job at NOAA as a forecaster

  • 1301 hit boxed in last nights Florida's Play 4 Lotto. - I have my money on 1289 still... Better update my numbers!

  • @HonestJohn60 tryy 666 tomorrow on the daily 3

  • @TheOlderangel The last time 666 came out in the evening was 05/17/06 = Thats a stretch - and it now may be time? - I'll have to cut you in now!

  • Thank you for the information.

  • @Tonytime1 Dont know why you comment showed up as spam - I unspammed it. If it happens again dcomplain the YT. Thanks for the comment

  • Hey Doc, this may be a bit much to ask, Im not sure, but what does the KP index mean ? (I watch this channel out of sheer interest, not a scientist)

  • @mariss711 No, not atall. I have explained it a couple of times in earlier videos. It is a measure of how disturbed the Earth's magnetic field is. They vaerage the measured disturbances from a number of stations round the globe and combine them into a numerical index - the KP index.

  • @drkstrong Thanks for taking the time to answer my question :)

  • thx for the upload !!!!

  • @macroeconomiccrisis You are welcome
