fantastic simulation! I used to live near Lincoln Park but never been to it when open and always wondered what it was like riding that coaster. The similation seemed really accurate. Thank you very much!
About 65% of the ride still stands today. I believe some of or a couple of the small hills are leaning terribly crocked and may not make it thru this winter coming. Little America Park still has the cars. Always interested in hearing memories or looking at pictures others may have from 40's 50's 60's 70's 80's. I likem all.
the comet is still standing i climbed up to the 2nd story today. the engine room is also intact with the electric motor and big 10ft wheel that spun the chain to lift the cars. the belt for it is also there. the rest of the park is a mess and mostly torn or burnt down.
""ur reading this u cant go back there was a dad who got pissed cuz he got layed off so he went home took a knife than went to his 13 year old daughter and slit her neck! if u r reading this and dont forward to 10 vids the 13 year old girl be sitting on the endge of the bed waiting for tha when u wake up who ever takes care of u will find u in the tube full of bloode with ur throat slit and than the 13 year old girl will come to who ever takes care of u so hury dont be the" less"""
They really should have save this ride. I guess the cars will be put to use elsewhere, but the wooden structure is rotting away on land that was supposed to be condos before the real estate crash. Lincoln Park would probably do well now, with people traveling less. I miss the old place.
That roller coaster is still there , i go by it all the time. i was not tourn down. its STILL remaining there. BUT , there are gates all around the park.
The Comet still stands today, it wasnt torn down yet! The lift hill did collapse in the 2005 blizzard in January, & the platform tower collapsed in May of 2008.
Some of the coaster is still standing, some has collapsed, but none has been removed yet for the development. They are talking about October........

Awesome job, that is exactly how I remember it as a kid...even the sound of the track is correct. :) Thanks for letting me relive it once again.

Clearly the original coaster had more friction and a few trim brakes. I don't remember it going quite that fast near the end.

There was a sign at the top of the hill. I wish you had included it. I can't remember what was on it except for "remain seated".
