"better" is not something to use when discussing original/remix, they are two different songs, two different styles, two comepletely different people working on them. "better" is very subjective. "better" is personal, therefore not a valid argument in a public discussion.

to all of you saying that remixes can be better than the original, of course they can be! but this isnt a good example of it... this remix is pretty much the original with some extra drum beats to make it more dance oriented. I love the original pogo and i love this remix too, but to say it is extremly superior to the original pogo just doesnt make sense.

if that were true, why bother remixing then?

Of course a remix can have a better beat, a catchier melody, more energy or more suitable tempo.

It can fit certain moods better or worse than the original and therefore can be better.

The only thing a remix cannot beat when compared to the original is the originality (obviously):

Only the original can be unprecedented and a remix does not exist without an original mix.

I have heard that remix, but I cant absolutely say "its better than the original" cause its the original.. ya know? thats how the artist intended it to sound, and altho the remixes of songs are awesome, the DJ's and artists who made thos remixes did not intend to sound "better" than the original. They simply made it because they enjoyed the song themselves and wanted to make something out of it to show their appreciation/skills : ))

@KrisOnBass I disagree. I think remixing a song can take strengths of a song and bring them out, while it removes the weaknesses. A good DJ can definitely make a song sound better. They can also make a song way more catchy.
