Yeah the hard parts of the glasses or goggles would dig into and around their face. Even a strike the the nose is good enough to cause eye irritation and nose bleeds.
Curly from the three stooges? Does that even work? I think it would still force your head back, whiplash kind of thing, and it would not stop the elbow either.
Ok, I get alot of jokesters here on youtube. I understand. Thank i think the best thing to do for the eye jab is to evade and strike under their arm pit.
this is cool. I would do the eye jab, cross, lead hook, and then either a roundhouse kick to the head, or clinch flying knee, follow by more knees until he drops. another cool techniques is to eye jab, and lead hook to the side of the head. Usually when someone gets hit in the eye, the hands will go to the front to cover. The lead hook will land on the side of the face, and then follow up with a combo. I like your videos. especially the tonfa video. the best tonfa videohere on youtube. Thanks
No you don't need to hit that hard with the eye jab because the eyes are a very soft target, then you can rock into the target and elbow smash them because the torso or face is a larger harder target. This is a good way to use 2 strikes with the same arm.
You don't need bodyweight for the eyejab, you can drop and sink on the elbow I guess but that backfist wouldn't have any bodyweight behind it to do any actual damage.
I don't like to raise my hands when someone approaches me. It may look more like a natural reaction but I don't like them to see my hands before I go to strike. How do you feel about that? Have you had any problems with people noticing your movements when your hands are raised?
Yes, I'm happy you asked. I stare at the persons eyes and switch to a more preiferial focus as I raise my hands. And speak with calming words one with "aaahhhh" in them like Caallllmmm. If you pronounciate you will understand. Also if you worry about them seeing your hands before you strike, try to cammoflage your hand with movement or strike from oblique angles that are out of the line of sight. This would be a very advanced ninjitsu technique.
I like your videos because they are innovative and you give new perspectives on old concepts. I believe a martial artist is first and foremost an artist- and an artist is one who creates new ideas, as opposed to somebody that only ever fits the mold and follows tradition and dogma.
Nice transition to an elbow with the lead arm, by the way. I'm going to have to try that out with a jab for sport fighting.
what if he's wearing sunglass or safety goggles? Palm strike to his glasses? thats what i wud do

would you hit harder to do and eye jab then hit with your other elbow?

Good Idea on the bag! Nice way to practice eye jabs.
HawkeNYC01 3 years ago
Oh yeah, that is great technique if some one grabs your other arm, you can just sink in that 3 strike combo.
ShinobiMystic 3 years ago
i'd rather go for an eye-jab, followed by a groin kick
nigelthor 3 years ago
That is a good option, usually a knee to the groin is good because after the eye jab you are very close.

With the back fist sink your knees down to add knockdown power to the strike, sorry if I didn't show it that well in the video.
