Why are people justifying how good their game is with sales? Hahaha...don't you realize a year ahead makes a difference since everyone wants the newest shit around? Add that and the huge army of Halo followers and you have a strong fanboy army. Halo 2 is still one of my all time favorites, Halo 3 is up there and reach kind of disappointed me ( You can start seeing the 360's wrinkles)...But after getting my PS3 I never looked back, Better tech, games, marketplace, you name it...Stop arguing.

You can create your own gamemodes and your own multiplayer maps meaning you get a new experience everytime you turn the game on. It has a gamemode for every kind of player. You like competitive gameplay? you play 4v4 slayer. you like big battlefields with vehicles? You play invasion or big team. Halo is its own thing. it is incomparable to anything on the market.

Halo is the only shooter with a balanced, skill based multiplayer. Kz3's mp is just like everyone elses.

What's so unbalanced about KZ3, 5 classes with strengths and weakness that can be exploited by those who are paying good attention, plus weapons that have downfalls the players will have to overcome by practicing with said weapon.
@Minervacantdie Halo is balanced because everyone is the excat same person(Not aesthetically mind you), 95% of the weapons don't pack a punch so no one has to worry about taking damage(Just like Quake and Unreal Tournament) and they've added things like jetpacks(as seen in games like Tribes(1998) and Duke Nukem 3D[1996]) to freshen things up.

Goldeneye couldnt let you create your own modes. In Halo you can play things like Jenga, Chess, and even pinball. And when I say nothing does what Halo does. just compare FPS games. Most games do the typical class based loadout gameplay. In Halo everyone is the same.

@MegaBlueZOMBIE Because nothing on the market does what Halo does. it has a unique style of gameplay. You can create your own gamemodes and your own multiplayer maps meaning you get a new experience everytime you turn the game on. It has a gamemode for every kind of player. You like competitive gameplay? you play 4v4 slayer. you like big battlefields with vehicles? You play invasion or big team. Halo is its own thing. it is incomparable to anything on the market.

@coltomatica You do realise that you can use jet packs and vehicles in Killzone 3 and also make your own maps? Not to mention the PS3 exclusive coming out called Starhawk. Halo is just another generic shooter, just like every one of them.

And halo is not generic. in fact it is probably the most unique shooter on the market right now. Nothing can compare to it. It is its own thing. And why did you even mention starhawk? This isnt a console flame war. we are discussing Halo and Killzone not ps3 vs xbox. i have both, it doesnt matter.

@coltomatica Your comment about Halo is completely ignorant, Halo draws much of it's inspiration in terms of story from starship troopers and it copies the gameplay mechanics from Bungie's Marathon and actually straight up Plagiarizes entire maps from Quake and Unreal Tournament, not to mention that it is blown away by the sci-fi/arena/ego shooters that came before it and completely obliterated by a thermo-nuclear bomb by the shooters of today, go ahead and name ONE inovation by Halo?

@Minervacantdie Killzone on the other hand(Killzone Series) draws it's story from a mix of Earth vs. Mars style sci-fi but grounded with WWII-style facist main villians and "Realistic" weapons and controls, the first one said fuck Two-weapons we can carry three and gave you 4 playable characters, Killzone 2 took One's Story and characters and went the battlefield bc route, two-weppons re-gen health, ect., KZ3 went for the COD route and added twitch controls, not much innovation either.

@Minervacantdie The first Halo was generally a novelty when it came out and is a relic of it's former glory, hell it's anniversy edition looks like grabage compared to the original, Halo 4 maybe they'll make the weapons actually pack a punch tis time around and he bad guys might be interesting, as for killzone I'm glad they quit while they were ahead, hopefully they won't tarnish an awesome concept(like Halo) and fuck it up by the third entry but claim multiplayer is it's savior(like Halo)

@Minervacantdie A map editor, Theater mode, The ability to create your own gamemodes, a matchmaking system, regenerating health, 2 weapon limit, A ranking system( on consoles not sure about PC), oh And Halo is the only game that does what it does. I have Killzone 3. It doesnt have a single creative thought in the entire game. It looks pretty sure, but I got bored in a couple of days. Halo is the only shooter with a balanced, skill based multiplayer. Kz3's mp is just like everyone elses.

People have been "Map Editing" since Timesplitters 1(1999-2000ish), "Theator Mode" has been around but Halo is the only playback that allows you to move the camera so thats a nice addition, Custom Games/Matchmaking Goldeneye(1997)/Perfect Dark(2000), Regen Health and the Two-Weapon Rule were in an obscure 3DO game called Iron Angel of the Apocalypse The Return(1995-1996ish).Got anuthing else like Dual-Wielding? LOL

@Minervacantdie I was talking specifically about the Entire Killzone Series not just 3(Although it was a disappiontment felt more like an add-on pack for 2). What's so unbalanced about KZ3, 5 classes with strengths and weakness that can be exploited by those who are paying good attention, plus weapons that have downfalls the players will have to overcome by practicing with said weapon.

@Minervacantdie Halo is balanced because everyone is the excat same person(Not aesthetically mind you), 95% of the weapons don't pack a punch so no one has to worry about taking damage(Just like Quake and Unreal Tournament) and they've added things like jetpacks(as seen in games like Tribes(1998) and Duke Nukem 3D[1996]) to freshen things up.

@Minervacantdie Lol, sorry, Matchmaking wasn't in golden eye or perfect dark. And Halo mainstreamed regen health and 2 weapon rule. And Dualwielding has been around for a while. Anyway. Goldeneye couldnt let you create your own modes. In Halo you can play things like Jenga, Chess, and even pinball. And when I say nothing does what Halo does. just compare FPS games. Most games do the typical class based loadout gameplay. In Halo everyone is the same.

@coltomatica Well then explain to me YOUR definition of matchmaking, mainstreaming isn't innovating,I'll repeat by saying Halo didn't invent dual wielding. Jenga, chess, and pinball do what for te FPS genre? If you compare Halo to say Quake/Tribes/Unreal/Goldeneye/Perfect Dark/TS It shares upgrades like quad damage, stim packs, jump pads from quake and unreal, standard FPS gametypes and they share those disambodied announcers.

@Minervacantdie You know what? I could go on forever trying to convince you about Halo and all that junk but it would be to no avail. You have your mind made up and if you dont think Halo is a good game and you dont enjoy it then that is your opinion and its perfectly fine. I own a ps3, I own killzone 3 and kz2 for that matter. its not a terrible game. i just dont think its very good. I would rather play battlefield, Halo, or Crysis. And to make you happy, Uncharted 2, to show im not biased..
