  • @xohxitsxxmanddyx THanks for compliment, Arab/Perch makes a real nice cross.

  • That horse is like, omg it's gonna get me, lol. I love riding green horses, they're so unpredictable.

  • @animelover462 He's so funny-- if you don't know horses you can't understand how such a big animal can get so scared of the tiniest thing!

  • @horsepaintings

He's scared of the troll under the bridge!!

    haha

    he' so adorable!

  • @VickyVanity Yep, he knows the troll is there all right. It's dark under there!

  • what is a green horse ??

  • Green means untrained or not well trained, just being started. A horse could be well-trained, ie. experienced, at driving for example, but still be "green under saddle" if he hadn't had much riding training. Or, he could be well trained at riding but be "green" at jumping. There is a horse show category for green jumpers.

Riders can be called green too. A phrase often heard among horse people is that "green horse-green rider" is a bad combination!

  • @horsepaintings oh thankyou

  • @horsepaintings Good examples also its: green + green = black and blue

Though this is one of so many out comes.

  • that is so great!

  • she has trained a lot of horses.

  • @horsepaintings Great! Very inspiring in many ways!

(i had a failure lesson today..) hhahaha oh no! so much wind.

itd be awesome of ur horse was there to calm down the rest of them so they didn't spook

  • All horses can spook from wind, this guy did that with me and took me totally by surprise. Living outside all the time helps them with that, but if they're uptight about anything they become much more reactive!

  • this is the best way to train a horse! Great job! What an inspiring video ^__^ I prefer clicker training, but it's basically the same but with added food bonuses lol. If this were my horse she would be crossing that bridge whether I wanted her to or not for more treats lol. Love your vids!

  • THank You! : ) I am trying to get started with clicker training, I admire it.

  • i ride my quarter horse everywhere we have alot of walkinging and riding trails around our town

  • That horse is gorgeous!

  • thank you

  • YAHHHHH!At a boy!

  • Yaahhhh very rewarding when that happens! Thanks! Nice music BTW--

  • perfect example of how to ride a scared horse. positive wth loose riens and voice rienforcement well done. dont let any one on here tell you other wise

  • what a brave boy! :-) and a great way to instill trust and confidence in your mount. having dealt w/a purebred arab (from weanling to 6 yrs.) I know how reactive they can be---but every obtacle we encountered only made our confidence in eachother grow after overcoming the fear together, just like you two did!! :-) Yay! You're making a GREAT trail horse! Now I have a purebred Percheron--and WOW, what a difference from the reactive Arab!! U got the best of both worlds going for you with that horse

  • ya know, we think that too! (best of both worlds...!) Many years before we bred our Arab mare to the Percheron father of these guys, I saw a 2 yr.old Perch/Arab which was a REAL nice horse. I never forgot him & when we got into driving horses then decided to breed our own babies, the Percheron cross seemed like an even better idea!

  • very well done, your horses wont have any problems on a cattle drive.

  • thanks Joe, I'll look you up when we travel out your way! And you come to NH for a carriage ride!
