Actually...just so people can use this as a reference:

3 Lutz + 3 toe = 6.1 +4.1 = 10.1

3 flip = 5.3

2 axel + 2 toe + 2 loop = 3.3 + 1.4 +1.8 = 6.5

2 axel + 3 toe = 3.3 + 4.1 = 7.4

3 salchow = 4.3

3 lutz = 6.1

2 axel = 3.3

(I didn't include the ten-percent bonus on each jump past the two-minute mark).

This proves that the new scoring system is not destroying 'grace and beauty'..it rewards everything and is fair...the 6.0 system was flawed and allowed a lot of corruption...I may not know HOW the points are determined but this skating is gorgeous:)

@getrealandsee Yes, the 6.0 system is flawed, as is the new system (due to anonymity of judges, most glaringly, but for other reasons too). So, fans have good reason to rant when they need to. I agree that Yu-na and her coach, the very special Brian Orser, presented her as well or better than any other female skater has been presented. I do think that the new judging system leaves little time for grace and beauty, because every move must now be quantified. Really like your comment....

Kim Yuna is one of a kind...grace, beauty, humility...what a wonderful role model and I am so happy that she has shared her talent with us...and thanks to Korea as well..

@sjlee311 Oh, you are so right about Yu-na's performance here. I have been following figure skating for a LONG time, and I never tire of watching her. Exquisite. Many performance artists say there is never a perfect performance, but this one has to be close.... Glad to meet a great Yu-na fan....

@ja3399 Totally agree. I have been following the sport since 1998...but far the best technically, the most beautiful, the most graceful figure skater I have ever seen. Not only just perfect technically way but she adds so much plus to her performances also artistically that no one will be better than her in the future. I am so glad that I could have followed her career- and for us fans would be fantastic if she returned, we'll see what she would like to do in the next 1-2 years.

@sjlee311 not perfection. i've seen a better skate. watch jeremy abbott's fs from nationals this year. he messed up a couple times on jumps but that's not what i'm talking about. i'm talking about program components... do any of you know what that means?? jeremy abbott does.
