One little strech mark honey you are so lucky. I have none on my belly but so many on my sides and boobs. With my daughter i gained weigh so fast that it was so painful and left nasty strech marks.
he could just be dropping. Logan dropped after I stuffed myself on thanksgiving. I seriously thought I was dieing. lol. I can't remember how long it lasted. Funny how we forget so soon.
I have gotten stretchmarks this way, starting with a red dot, before (not while pregnant), but it is usually small. I usually weight about 119lb and I'm 5,4 tall and got the battle-skin scars aka stretchmarks during puberty and a couple small ones thereafter. This is my first pregnancy & I'm on 20 weeks now. Love your videos!
hi lucy I have been watching your videos since Jacelyn was born. I had really bad pain similiar to what you are experiencing when I was pregnant with my 22 yo daughter. It was a sharp pain made me double over whenever it happened. I went for ultrasounds nothing showed when she was born they realised the placenta had abrupted at an early stage. I don't want to alarm you but have they checked for that?
Lucy, I don't know if you have been told this but you're not supposed to crouch down like that cause it can cause the cord to wrap round the neck. I didn't kow that til after my son was born, just thought I would let you know xx
I've never heard that before and with my last pg my doctor had me crouch on a exercise/birthing ball and rock back and forth. He said it would help open my hips for labor and hopefully help induce labor (I was 2 weeks overdue) I'd definitely like to know if this is true.
I asked my sister about this one (she's a nurse but not one of those annoying pushy nurses) she laughed out loud. The person who posted that comment before is from the UK and their medical system is behind the times. It sounds like the one where if you brush your hair the wrong way you'll wrap your baby's cord around the neck.
The original comment is an old wives tale and should be ignored!
Just to clarify the UK medical system is certainly not 'behind the times'. In fact it is the US stuck in the past when it comes to childbirth with sky high c-section rates, epidurals, enemas, shaving, episiotomies. I can't be bothered going into it more at the moment but that statement really is laughable.
And this is based on WHAT evidence, precisely? I assume you have personal experience (as I do) with both the US and UK medical systems in order for you to make a statement such as this? I'm afraid you are seriosly misformed, as well as ignorant.
I know what you mean bout throwing up. I was throwing up during my lobour and hated it, told my husband dont care bout being in lobour but the throwing up and sickness feeling during lobour just took so much out of me.
i have a quick question.. depending on how you were sitting or how your baby was positioned in your tummy when you coughed or sneezed did it ever hurt "down there" really really bad? cause im about 23 weeks. and ive noticed if im sitting a certain way or if my son is somewhere low i would cough or sneeze and it will hurt SOOO bad. i was wondering if i was alone on that one..
I have been having extreme pain in the same place since week 30 or so! Everything you explained, even the nauseous feeling. This is my first child and I'm not sure what to expect...I am just trying to tell myself that it's ligaments stretching. I have my next appointment on Monday and will ask my doctor about it then. Let me know if you find anymore about it.
Hello Lucy i am a new subscriber but have been watching your videos since about week 5 or so, because thats when i found out that i was going to be a grandma 1 st time YAH...... & my daughter in law was 5 wks at the time so i went on youtube & there you were I WAS HOOKED! since then i've watched all of your videos I LOVE THEM......you are the cutest pregnant woman & your daughter Jacelyn is soooooo adorable! I'm getting excited for you sounds like your son will be here in no time, GOOD LUCK!!!!!
I was 3 cm and 50% effaced at 34 weeks but didn't deliver until 38 weeks...he was 8 lbs too so he was ready. I don't remember any pain like that though.
Wow! I was 3 cm at 36 weeks I think? As well as 50%, then at 37 I was 5 cm and 75% finally delivered a few hours into my 38th week. 7 lb baby though! Perhaps we just cook our babies a little faster? Wish I didn't have the pain like u didn't though, that would b nice.
i got that with my son, (2nd) and this (3rd) and it is SOOOOO PAINFUL! I UNDERSTAND! I TOLD THEM IT FELT LIKE HE WAS GRABBING ME FROM THE INSIDE AND RIPPING ME! I ONLY GOT RELIEF WHEN HE CAME OUT!
I had the same exact thing it was round ligament pain for me. That and the Dr. told me that with the second one you can feel everything a lot more and the muscles are much more stretched out... I had to use a pregnancy belt on the days it hurt the most. It would help get Oceanna off the muscle. I to felt that I was going to be sick and it almost felt like a REALLY bad menstrual craps. I hope this helps.
You look amazing!!! and your lucky so far you dont' really have any stretch marks, beside the first starting....i got them bad!!!!! but i do reccomend Bio Oil...it's the best stuff i've ever used!!!!
Yeah I didn't get stretch marks with my daughter but during my second pregnancy with Gabe I got them. They started out at little dots and then the dots stretched. And I don't know if it's just me but he does look lower this week. Hopefully he will stay in there until 37 weeks. Did the midwife say that it was up to you to stay home if he's early.
Yes you can get stretch marks that are just dots. I'm 18 weeks pregnant with my first son and I have probably 20 of them on my bottom. Try Palmers Cocoa butter Formula Massgae Lotion for Stretch Marks with vitamin E, Collagen & Elastin. It made them fade a little bit. They were red now they are brown and I've only been using it for a month. Good Luck.
and the shorts lol we all do that i think i cant where my own clothes its either my hubby's shorts or boxers lol and Jace is just way to cute ...cant wait to see your little man not to much long now !!!
I know what you mean about the pain, I had the same experience with my second pregnancy to. I thought for sure my daughter was going to come early. I felt alot of pressure down below, very painful. I was like you to, I couldn't really remember if I had the same thing with my first pregnancy. Well good luck and take care
I don't know :/ when I told my doctor she just said that it was normal. You will carry lower with your second, third, and so on, so there is more pressure. So yeah she never really gave me an answer, but she didn't show concern. Everything worked out fine for me, Well I hope your doctor is able to tell you more about it.
Oh wow, i've been having that same pain in the 'crease' like you're talking about. I'm almost 32 weeks. I've been having pubic bone pain too. Sometimes it feels like he's ready to fall out any minute lol! I just had an ultrasound last Friday and he's already head down. I'm guess thats whats causing my discomfort.
The pain could be a number of things: the baby pressing on a nerve, your pelvis expanding or abdominal ligaments being stretched. This is all normal for the stage your at, if the pain gets really bad you should talk to your Midwife. Wow not long to go now, and the 2nd labor is usually faster than the 1st. Good luck xx
Hey Lucy glad to see you are feeling better, and I just saw last night on facebook they put you on bed rest. I am sure that has it's goods and bads about it. Oh ya so I finally got 2 videos to upload but they are super short I am still having major uploading issues :( but any ways hope you have a good rest of the week -Sarah
I'm having the SAME pains in the same spot. I was attributing to round ligament pains. I pulled out my anatomy and physiology books and thats what it looks like to me. Do you get it when laying in bed? Glad to know that you are feeling better.
i also have the "stretch dots"....only a few on my side/hip but they weren't there before...so i assume they are just itty bitty stretch marks. Hopefully they won't grow :x
The pain does sound like RL pain. It does sound like you are having BH (braxton hicks) as well. When I would have BH contrax, there was a tightening all throughout my chest, and it would almost make it hard to breathe.
I hear pain is always worse the second time around too! ;-)
Glad to see you're feeling better. You and Jace are so cute when you play together. I love it!
I've been feeling a lot of pressure down low too. I'm 33 weeks, so I think our babies are dropping. And with the stretch mark thing- ya, they can start as just dots. Believe me, I've got dots and lines everywhere. My belly looks like a connect the dots!
Your daughter is so adorable! You look great too. I was just wondering if you have ever tried or thought about trying accupuncture for the pains you are having? I've heard it also helps during labor. I was thinking about trying it for pain control. I was just wondering what your thoughts were about accupuncture. Good luck and I hope your pain subsides.
That pelvic pain is most likely because he's dropped - your belly does look lower, but I think you've been carrying quite 'low' anyway. Do you feel him more in the pelvis? My clue was that the baby had stopped kicking my ribs with the feet dropping lower and I could feel the hiccups way down in my pelvis, right next to my hip! It looks like yours is lying across your belly though, so I'm not sure... it'll be interesting to see what the midwife says!
Oh no... I still feel him WAYYYY on up there, but at the same time I can feel him down below my underwear line on I'm guessing a pubic bone? There's no way he's THAT big, lol so I dunno?
your belly had grown alot hun! Hes a big boy :) oh and about the stretch marks (I am sure a million people have told you this already) I did some research myself about them just on the internet because I am hoping to not get too many of them at some point along the line during my pregnancy. But they usually do start as just a dot sometimes. Btw you look great! I love that dress and your hair looked so cute. And Jace is just adorable! I love her little laugh :)
I have the exact same pain as you down my belly:upper thighs and it also makes me nauseous (I am 36.5 weeks gone) Doc says nothing to worry about just ligament pain (shame he doesn't have it - nothing to worry about is easy to say really!!) anyway a while ago when you showed us your baby shower stuff you showed a little anti peeing device or something could you tell us more about it? I am curious as I am also expecting a boy and that looks handy!! glad to see you are a bit better.
i remember with my son i had they same pain u r discribing 2 weeks b4 giving birth. i was told that i had it from walking constantly n the baby dropping. n i can see that u r certainly dropping. im very excited for u guys.
2 b honest I'm not sure what BH's are? My ob/gyn w/ my daughter explained to me like this... BH don't cause a change in ur cervix... Real contractions do. Every time I had contractions they always caused a change in my cervix... So I assume according to her I NEVER had BH. So I dunno?!?!?! My midwife asked the same thing, and I was like UHHH I DON"T KNOW?!!? How do u know?
I know exactly the pain you are experiencing. Talk to your midwife about taking extra potassium. I took a potassium supplement and as long as I took one pill daily, I did not experience the pain. otherwise it would hurt so bad i would puke.
Im 15 and not a genius at babys or pregnacy. I am pregnant but only 5 months but maybe your hurting because since your getting so close your belly is growing very fast now and that could becausing you pain. Oh and you tube people who think it is bad and very unhealthy to have a baby at fifthteen I know my baby has a right to have a life and thats why she is going to get one with her adoptive parents.
Lucy...you could also be having some pain from the strain on your muscles from all the coughing you've been doing. The last time I had bronchitis, I pulled a muscle from coughing and as you know, I wasn't pregnant.
I bet the pain is from him dropping. I had that with my son near the end of the pregnancy. It always got worse if I walked to much. I hear ya on the vomiting. I threw up for the first 4months of my pregnancy and I wanted to die! I lost 30lbs. But he kept growing. How I have no idea. Good luck. Jayce is soo cute!
wow your belly has grown alot since last time! I was having same pain in that area for a couple days when I was pregnant with my son and I went to the doctor and was induced and had him that day because my fluid were leaking. He was at 36.4 weeks and weighed 7lbs 9oz so hopefully you are not having the same problem at least hold him in there for a couple more weeks. and it def looks like you have dropped some since last time.
I definately agree with that... I wanted to do a belly cast but he had to be born at 34 weeks so i didnt get the chance... Next time i wont make the same mistake :)
sometimes stretchmarks start as a dot and rip a little to a lot more... it just depends but it can stop and a dot if ur lucky and if u dont have any stretch marks other than that ur chances are really good... good luck i hope he stays in there a little longer until hes completely full term for u guys!
oh yeah, I also wanted to tell you that I think you can have a stretch mark thats like a dot. I didn't get a good enough look at your back to tell, but the only purple-ish stretch mark I have is on the underside of one of my breasts and it seriously just looks like a permanent bruise. It feels like a regular stretch mark though. Its bizarre b/c I thought for sure I'd only get the clear kind until I have kids. So much for that...
Well I have a red SM on my breast it's about 3 cm long, red not skin toned. That's it. I have a few on my butt (from my daughters pregnancy) and that is like a cluster/actual lines, which are skin toned. But this dot... I didn't know if it was an impression from clothes, or perhaps I was leaning on something, or scratched I dunno? B/c I've thought I had them b4 and then the next day it was gone? But this has been there for two days I think... So lol I think it is.
I'm the same way. I actually have Emetophobia (fear of throwing up). It's horrible, I seriously would rather be shot or in immense pain than to ever have to throw up. Blehhh.
oh theres an actual name for it? hahaha wow. But yeah i agree.... I'd rather go through labor 24/7 for the rest of my life than to throw up. I'm not even sure why.. it's not like one particular part of it/about it I just can't stand, it's the whole act. I dunno. Glad it's not just me though.
Yeah. It's also the reverse where you're scared to see someone throw up. I have it both ways sadly, but more so ME throwing up. That's the only reason I'm scared to get pregnant.
Your belly does look different. It looks like its pointing out more, i mean not much bigger or anything...just different?, and a little lower? It would make sense if you were carrying him different, more out in front than if it were just wider. I had a wider stomach with my 1st, and a more pointing out stomach with my son, and i got more stretch marks with him around my back, probably cause it was pulling out? I don't know, but you look GREAT! I wish i could look that good preg! lol
you look georgous...i love your dress....dang i wish they had snow cones here in north texas already...i am soo jealous that u have a snow cone...i have been craving them for 3 months and i cant wait for them to open up lol
Lord I hope that's the case. I don't care what is causing it, I just need an ANSWER, u know how sometimes that just makes u feel better. Like in a sense u can remind ur self when in pain, It's Okay, it's b/c he's dropped.. blah blah blah. B/c when u don't know, ur left kind of worrying? And that seems to make it WORSE! :(
that sounds like the same pain i had, plus i was nauseated. and the next week i found i had ruptured membranes and barely any amniotic fluid, and thats why it hurt so bad. there was basically no cushion from me to him
I had the same thing umm when I was pregnant with my son I had a red dot and I did not know at the time what it was.. I was only 20 yrs old (did not know nothing) and it started out a red dot and and then a stretch mark as time went on. It has now since faded, but you will be fine you look great!
I feel so bad for you, you sound miserable, with the pains... I hope the pain goes away, maybe it's from his head being down in your pubic bone? btw I have stretch mark dots! lol, and also stretch marks lines and stretch mark blobs lol all kinds of different ones :) Your lucky you only got the one little dot, wtg!
I feel ya on this one!! I have stretch marks galore, but what can I say? I've had a very smooth pregnancy, no sickness at all, if all I have to deal with are some stretch marks, that's good with me! :)
jace is bouncing off the wall! hehehee..ive been losing my mucus at week 32 as well. so does that mean our body is preparing for labor? n ive been feeling the pressure too esp when im sittin for a long time or just changing positions.
well he might be droping....i'm 34 weeks pregnant myself i've been expriencing pain on both sides of my tracks ...don't know what it is but wow i'm about to find out what it is myself..
use olive oil cream or just regular olive oil... it should help with the stretching so you will have little to no stretch marks... so i hear. I can't say for sure. some say they just happen and there is nothing you can do. who knows lol :)
What a beautiful video.

I was thinking about trying it for pain control. I was just wondering what your thoughts were about accupuncture. Good luck and I hope your pain subsides.

I feel for you because I also would rather be ill with a pneaumonia then have any type of gastro illness.LOL I HATE BEING ILL.
I had the same pain with my daughers preggt abut 34 weeks ad it was hherropping :)

Amenakin 2 years ago

How do u know?
xxxjoelpolexxx 2 years ago

U may be right...I've thought the same thing too. (Belly just getting bigger)
xxxjoelpolexxx 2 years ago
Lucy...you could also be having some pain from the strain on your muscles from all the coughing you've been doing. The last time I had bronchitis, I pulled a muscle from coughing and as you know, I wasn't pregnant.
mindy573 2 years ago
I bet the pain is from him dropping. I had that with my son near the end of the pregnancy. It always got worse if I walked to much. I hear ya on the vomiting. I threw up for the first 4months of my pregnancy and I wanted to die! I lost 30lbs. But he kept growing. How I have no idea. Good luck. Jayce is soo cute!
maddie0106 2 years ago
wow your belly has grown alot since last time!

Next time i wont make the same mistake :)

sometimes stretchmarks start as a dot and rip a little to a lot more... it just depends but it can stop and a dot if ur lucky and if u dont have any stretch marks other than that ur chances are really good... good luck i hope he stays in there a little longer until hes completely full term for u guys!

lol Miss Trouble-pants and her snow cone....
oh yeah, I also wanted to tell you that I think you can have a stretch mark thats like a dot. So much for that...
frowniebrown86 2 years ago
Well I have a red SM on my breast it's about 3 cm long, red not skin toned. That's it. I have a few on my butt (from my daughters pregnancy) and that is like a cluster/actual lines, which are skin toned. But this dot... I didn't know if it was an impression from clothes, or perhaps I was leaning on something, or scratched I dunno? B/c I've thought I had them b4 and then the next day it was gone? But this has been there for two days I think... So lol I think it is.
xxxjoelpolexxx 2 years ago
I'm the same way. I actually have Emetophobia (fear of throwing up). It's horrible, I seriously would rather be shot or in immense pain than to ever have to throw up. Blehhh.
ohmemorylover 2 years ago
oh theres an actual name for it? hahaha wow. But yeah i agree.... I'd rather go through labor 24/7 for the rest of my life than to throw up. I'm not even sure why.. it's not like one particular part of it/about it I just can't stand, it's the whole act. I dunno. Glad it's not just me though.
xxxjoelpolexxx 2 years ago
Yeah. It's also the reverse where you're scared to see someone throw up. I have it both ways sadly, but more so ME throwing up. That's the only reason I'm scared to get pregnant.

your tummy definitely looks lower
frowniebrown86 2 years ago
Your belly does look different. It looks like its pointing out more, i mean not much bigger or anything...just different?, and a little lower? It would make sense if you were carrying him different, more out in front than if it were just wider. I had a wider stomach with my 1st, and a more pointing out stomach with my son, and i got more stretch marks with him around my back, probably cause it was pulling out? I don't know, but you look GREAT! I wish i could look that good preg! lol

i had that same pain and had contractions that sent me into labor a week later...i hope he stays in there!!!

I have been having a constant dull but annoying pain in the same place and I have been told that mine has dropped!!!
xxxxjunebugmamaxxxx 2 years ago
Lord I hope that's the case. I don't care what is causing it, I just need an ANSWER, u know how sometimes that just makes u feel better. Like in a sense u can remind ur self when in pain, It's Okay, it's b/c he's dropped.. blah blah blah. B/c when u don't know, ur left kind of worrying? And that seems to make it WORSE! :(
xxxjoelpolexxx 2 years ago
that sounds like the same pain i had, plus i was nauseated. and the next week i found i had ruptured membranes and barely any amniotic fluid, and thats why it hurt so bad. there was basically no cushion from me to him
tbesstha 2 years ago
I had the same thing umm when I was pregnant with my son I had a red dot and I did not know at the time what it was.. I was only 20 yrs old (did not know nothing) and it started out a red dot and and then a stretch mark as time went on. It has now since faded, but you will be fine you look great!
IvnTee07 2 years ago
Your tummy looks much different than two weeks ago, he does seem to be lower!
AngelzCryToo 2 years ago
I feel so bad for you, you sound miserable, with the pains... I hope the pain goes away, maybe it's from his head being down in your pubic bone? btw I have stretch mark dots! lol, and also stretch marks lines and stretch mark blobs lol all kinds of different ones :) Your lucky you only got the one little dot, wtg!
realtruthfakelies 2 years ago
I feel ya on this one!! I have stretch marks galore, but what can I say? I've had a very smooth pregnancy, no sickness at all, if all I have to deal with are some stretch marks, that's good with me! :)

use olive oil cream or just regular olive oil... it should help with the stretching so you will have little to no stretch marks... so i hear. I can't say for sure. some say they just happen and there is nothing you can do. who knows lol :)
