this was really cool. there are some mistakes but even the pros make those. what I like is the feeling that you are at home with your family members playing for you. I am one of 8 kids (I'm 61) and all of my siblings and many of my cousings play some kind of instrument. we get together on Easter and Thanksgiving every year and we sit around and play everyone's music for hours. the dislikesI just don't get. maybe they should try and please over 2,000,000 viewers with their playing.

Awesome cover of "Dueling Banjos" I have always loved the sound of the banjo! I also like the album "Today" by the New Christy Menstels,(Columbia Records,circa:about mid 1960s) and a cut from that record,"Brackenby's Music Box" featured some great Banjo-playing! it is AWESOME!!

Feuding Banjos the original might be your favorite, but this video here is my favorite version because it's picked loud and clear, and with real good people. Well done, just look at that impressive count view and number of likes - a complete success. Still love the old clock too!

@MSfeller Thanks, MSFeller! My banjo and the fiddle were recovered, but most of the stolen things were gone. The fiddle was pretty much trashed. I am in the process of getting the banjo back. The thieves are in jail for a while. Meanwhile, I now have a Hopkins, which I really like.

My first banjo was actually stolen by heartless people shortly after I bought it, and as I didn't have money to buy a new one, it delayed my banjo learning by nearly 2 years, when I got a new one - so I could relate to your story, although your loss was far greater.

EGULLEY11---He is NOT claiming to play FEUDING BANJOS...he is playing DUELING BANJOS! He says DUELING and so does the titel. DUELING Banjos was featured in the movie deliverance. It may have been a knock off from the original FUEDING banjos, but to my knowledge DUELING has always been played by a guitar and banjo...

@dibser The story is, it was a song called "feuding banjos" written by Arthur Smith and it was for written for two banjos, played by him (4 string banjo) vs. Don Reno (5-string banjo), but, in the movie, they ripped off his song and made it a banjo versus a guitar, so the plural "banjos" stopped making sense. Since they used the song without the author's permission, he successfully sued the makers of Deliverance.
