  • Bad bad bad . . . . did I mention it is bad?

  • hmmm? -rcsuperhero

  • All those tubes and wires would be alot of drag, no?

  • lot of drag with this thing...

  • @oiseautempete As with most ultralights.

  • @contactmag

Yes but not all, like the escapade Kid and others: less drag= less power for the same performance, and you can install a Wankel or the Brigg&Stratton 630 4 stoke (up to 38hp) more and more use in europe: less noise, less consumption, more range...

  • Dont think much of the design myself. But hey, to each his/her own......

  • I can't imagine this costing alot of money. $5000-$7500 ? I wish i lived in a area where there are many places to test out a homemade aircraft.Like the deserts in Arizona,or near the Salt Flats.I've alway wanted to fly,had the money to buy a used Ultra light, but not enough area to fly,and too much air traffic.McGuire AF Base,Willow Grove,NADC(houses now),Phila It'l airport,N.E. Phila airport,Mercer co.,Nj airport.I absolutely tip my hat to all you pilots flying garage built low budget planes !!!

  • that plane gives ugly a whole new chapter.

  • @pgpete I thought the same of the Sonex when it first came out, but through the years its grown on me. The true beauty of this thing is its simplicity.

  • could it make it 50 miles? Can a larger fuel tank be installed?

  • @yankman91 Fuel tank size is limited by Part 103. Make it an experimental and all things are then possible.

  • @contactmag :)

  • also, what kind of range can be expected?

  • Not much. it's slow and carries little fuel

  • do you need a pilots license to fly this?

  • No. It's a true Part 103 ultralight

  • @yankman91 No license is necessary to fly this plane, or any Part 103 compliant ultralight.

  • Google snedden m7 experimenter and youll find a comprehensive article on it.

  • This plane has almost zero downward vision. I hope the pilot does not want to check where he is!

  • Many low and mi-wing planes are that way.

  • True, but this seems worst than most.

Hope it doesn't fly in the same sky with planes with now upward vision (such as trikes)!

  • But you can look between your feet. The cockpit is completely open. In fact, you enter the plane from below.

  • Google snedden m7 experimenter and youll find a comprehensive article on it.

  • Thanks I will.

  • Well, ok. That must help.

  • boy... are going back to the bleriot days or what?
