  • It takes 9 months for a nigger to take a shit.

  • lmao, in the first 5 seconds clyburn totally contradicts himself.

  • Fuckin Niggers

  • @stirner420

Obambam is mulatto, so would he get into the CBC?

  • clyburn bringing up the christian and jewish coalitions is a red herring. First of all, you can convert to either religion. You cant convert to a race. Secondly, he already said discrimination is wrong, so even if we accept that discrimination based on race or religion is equal (even though it clearly is NOT) then all he is doing is saying two wrongs make a right

  • Here's the liberal rule: It's OK when we say it is, and it's not OK when we say it's not.

  • Clyburn recently said that "racism is the primary cause for Obama's problems." For once, I agree with Clyburn - Obama and other Democrats in Washington being racists are the main cause for the problems they are having.

  • FAT WHORE UHUHUHUHUHUUHUHUHUHUHUHUHUHUHUHUUHH

  • @stirner420 good question.

  • "Right to be employed" That say's it all. He rejects slavery on what grounds?

  • racist

  • I am not racist, but if identical asian, white, and black applicants came to me for the same position, I would hire the asian first and the black last. This is based simply on my past business experience of asians being the hardest working and blacks being the laziest. I use the same data analysis and trend analysis for every other business decision I make as well. Why should race be any different?

  • Pound the fool in a mortar with a pestle and still his foolishness will not depart from him

  • blacks are the most racist people in america they commit 90% of violent inter racial crime in america.

  • @mikeyramone33 I'd have to agree with that. It seems everywhere black people go, crime rates are higher, violence soars dramatically, and the neighborhoods fall apart. It's not just coincidence nice white neighborhoods fall apart when black people start moving in.Poor whites behave much better than poor blacks. It's not just coincidence, it really comes down to the morals of a culture. The black culture is violent and very hateful. It really comes down to the fact the "black culture" is garbage.

  • @LutzfromPS2 garbage elevates it too much.whites really must stop the guilt trip.we have paid billions in reparations to blacks.game over we owe them nothing more,

  • @mikeyramone33 I'm of European descent and my ancestors came over to the US in 1890, so they never owned slaves. Do I owe anyone reparations?

Does anyone owe anyone reparations for the atrocities of their ancestors? I think not.

  • @andrewh817 according to the u.s. government and just about every black org. out there yes.

  • So if what he's saying is right, Obama can't be in the congressional black caucus because he is half white.....

  • Rofl! Awesome.

  • so its legal to discraminate against whites but not blacks so it makes it o.k to hate whites hmmm to bad shit like this doesnt get a lot of t.v time

  • What a hopeless statist. Illegal vs legal discrimination. Perhaps we should have a list of thousands of situations when it's illegal to discriminate. Racial discrimination is morally wrong but cannot be illegal. And it's always the state who creates discrimination in the first place.

  • I am loving this "the joooz are doing it so it's OK for me to do it." bullshit.

Well hell. The Nazi liked gassing people so I guess it's OK for the American leftist government to do it too.

After all..... it's only discrimination if White people are doing it.

  • The content of this interview and the discussion overall could have been so much better had the interviewer not had the intellect of a 6 year old.

  • @scbluesman13 Tht's funny. yeah. However, the mentality of a 6 year old got a US Representative to both contradict himself and to admit he is a bigot.

  • lol he says I discriminated all other women when marrying my wife. No congressman I think you did them a fucking favour by not marrying them.

  • Based on his statement whites are right to exclude blacks because they cant be white. WTF

  • Ya, by this guy's interpretation of permissible, slavery was ok because it was legal discrimination. Aren't laws based on Societal understanding of moral absolutes? Wow, why isn't this stuff on CNN instead of McCain hugging George Bush, or Howard Dean screeching?

  • Wow, what a racist tool.

  • Hypocrisy is best when served live.

  • This is complete pooh. Race and faith are not the same. We need to focus on individual rights and stop this garbage. Race baiters and poverty pimps infest so called "liberal" groups. They have perverted the definition of "liberal" and the constitution.

  • legal v. moral.... I'd like to point out, that it used to be LEGAL for a white man to own a black man.... by this man's reasoning, it wasn't wrong.

  • legal v. moral :) It used to be LEGAL for white man to own a black man too, it used to be legal to turn a woman away from voting booths...

  • Stupid tw@. Typucal racist black can't see the truth when it is slapping him in the face.

  • The cbc is a joke just as all other racial groups are jokes, they are being used against one another for a purpose, balkanization, to keep people separated so they can conquer and enslave us all, divide and conquer its the stupidest most obvious thing ever, except people want to belong to organizations, what makes people great and unique is not necessarily our skin color but our intellect.

  • Clyburn just made an anti-transgender statement! How insensitive!

  • OK, sooo its perfectly legal and perfectly acceptable to racially discriminate as long as you are not white... this is getting a little old...

  • Discrimination is fine. Unless it's not.

  • This congressman is an idiot.

  • What a fucking dumbass......contradicts himself so many times I lost count.

Then at the end he says "racial discrimination is fine as long as it doesn't affect you getting into a house" "you can still be a congressperson just not in the black caucus"

Well then why CAN'T a business refuse to serve a person based on race? They aren't saying you can't buy something, you just can't buy something from them.

    Fucking retard.....can't believe he's elected.

  • audio got scrambled..............

  • so a white member of the CBC can't be included even if he/she represents black members of his/her district?

  • Hey this black guy is pretty sharp guy and i agree with most of what he says.

  • Good point and example to counter a bizarre position.

  • @4:39 Clyburn is clearly projecting the fact that his mind is made up onto you, and you seem to be someone whose ideas change based on evidence. When someone's being irrational, they tend to ad homenem attack which is what he did by claiming that you were trying to change his mind.

  • Clyburn is ok with legal discrimination. Bring back the Jim Crow Laws.

  • Racist blacks are the worst kind.

  • How do they decide who's Black and whp gets into the causcus? By haplogroup or mere apperance?

  • Women are not a race. Men are not a race. Jewish Religion and any other religion is not a race. Black is a RACE and they discriminate based on being black or not. This is most basic example of ILLEGAL racial discrimination that exists. I wonder how black folks would feel if we started the WHITE CAUCUS and only allowed white people in. No asian, no indian, no, arab..only white. The black folks would raise hell.

  • This is a prime example why our government doesn't work.

I can hardly believe that this guy is a representative. Wait.....yes I can.

  • Why do we have to have Black Caucaus or Jewish or Christian or groups that are selective? Why do we not just all be the American Caucaus/groups? It would seem to me that then racial issues would begin to subside.

  • @copper2150 Nice sentiments but I think you have it backwards. Its the "racial issues" that made it necessary to have these caucuses in the first place. If one wishes to criticize the caucuses, criticize them based on how effective they have, or have not been, in expanding the participation of a broad cross-section of American society in its institutions and industries after centuries of forced exclusion.

  • His most profound words, "your not going to change my mind about this". Regardles of what is right or not he see's it as totally legal. BUT, if it were reversed would he see it a different way and be yelling it was racist to have an all white organization where no black person could join?

  • @copper2150 actually, that's not as hypothetical as you make it seem. It is our nation's history.

  • Is a congressional white caucus legal?

  • @CBALLEN Not only is it legal, it is what we already have when you consider the composition of most congressional committees.

  • there are so many legitimate criticisms of government and this is what this man spends his time on? I could give a rats ass who is in the congressional black caucus. There are legitimate problems they should be discussing.

  • @rock90123 I agree with you rock, the problem is not with Congressman Clyburn, it is with the interviewer who wastes our time with such questions in the first place. The congressman is simply answering the man's questions and trying to move on. The interviewer, however, like many people who have commented on this video, is obsessed with this non-issue, as if there is nothing better to talk about.

  • Ok....This mans use of the "christian" cannot be a member of a Jewish coallition is a improper anology, comsidering that If he were (even as a "Black" man), of the jewish faith, then he COULD in fact be a member.

If there were a "Congressional White Caucus" Its lifespan would be only minutes before People like this shut it down as racist.....Think before you put your foot into your mouth...MOST of us out here not only posess common sense....but we choose to USE IT!

  • @edwinfingmeyer sometimes "common sense" is a little too common to be sensible. The argument a Black Jew can be a member of the Jewish Congressional Caucus while a White Jew cannot be a member of the Congressional Black Caucus is just such a non-sensible statement.

The obvious response is that a Black Christian cannot be a member of the Jewish Congressional Caucus, but a Black Jew can be a member of the Black Congressional Caucus, so what's your problem?

    "Common sense" rarely makes sense.

  • @edwinfingmeyer There are plenty of "Congressional White Caucus," just look at the composition of most congressional committees.

  • First of all the end of the interview was cut off, which casts suspicion on what followed and whether or not Congressman Clyburn really contradicted himself. The internet has been around long enough so that all of us should be wary of jumping to assumptions based on edited video clips.

Secondly, Clyburn is making a distinction between legal and illegal discrimination while the interviewer is focusing on the assumed immorality of any kind of discrimination based on race. That's the impasse.

  • How do you make a distinction between "legal and illegal discrimination"? Please explain.

  • @eerik123455 People discriminate all the time. To discriminate is to choose. We have laws that discriminate between different types of farmers, for example, in order to promote certain types of agriculture. In terms of discrimination where race is a factor the distinction is between whether the discrimination is benign or malign. Benign discrimination is done to increase fuller participation in American society of those who previously were excluded by malign discrimination.

  • these days you can dicriminate so long as you aint white! I'm white and theres nothing i can do to change this black mans mind about whether or not im a racist! His mind was made up for him as he was raised up by his parents! In his mind im white therefor im racist!!!! A white man and a black man go in for the same job. If the black man gets the job then thats it! end of the story!! but if the white man gets the job, then here comes the NAACP,JESSE JACKSON,etc. then it must be RACISM!

  • @panjok2 unless I missed something, the man never said a word about you or your parents. He also never accused anyone of being a "racist." Let's try to stay calm and keep things in perspective. His argument is to distinguish between legal and illegal discrimination; legal discrimination does not prevent one from having a job, education or obtaining housing; illegal discrimination does do those things. The interviewer is stuck in a reductionist and mechanistic argument about the whole concept.

  • @panjok2 The example he gave concerning the job was not "illegal discrimination" but legal discrimination. The point he was making was that people discriminate all the time because to "discriminate" is to make choices. No problem with making choices so long as it is not solely based on race to deprive someone of a job, education or housing. You, and many others on this thread, totally miss the point. It pays to calm down and listen to what the man is actually saying.

  • 4:15 = Baffled...lol

  • @messi19barca Yes, baffled by an interviewer who apparently had not been listening to the previous four minutes of the argument. Clyburn conceded the point that people discriminate all the time, he attempted to penetrate the interviewer's brain-dead reductionist and mechanistic argument that all discrimination is inherently immoral, and gave examples of where it is okay to discriminate and where it is not -- and the whole thing went right over the interviewer's head. Truly baffling, lol.

  • Comment removed

  • the truth is there is no such thing as races. it's something that people invented about humans in the 1400s

  • Brainwashed, ronpaulsucks1?

  • no just educated to believe in humanity before physical characterstics

  • its about wrongful discrimnation like clyburn does.

  • Clyburn says discrimination is ok, except where it's illegal- a clear example that law does not equal morality. By this argument, he should be in favor of ending all discrimination laws, which I would support.

  • "Right to own a house," "Right to be employed."

    Scary.

  • No he didn't. He contradicted himself repeatedly. Watch the video again.

  • ROFLMAO!!!!! 1:21 on is the typical Liberal response to any tough question

  • I'd like to see a Congressional White Causcus formed. Then what would uhuhuhuhuhuhuh...Clyburn say?

  • Black guy is "Headstrong," & Jews have been promoting "Civil Rights" to destroy White race since they tried to take over Bavaria where Hitler's from. Took 600 years, but Jews won. Note how he refers to "Jews" as "gods" who form our reality &97% of our media. Now that Jews got their Black man in the White House & Obama's top & first advisor, Jewish Raum Emmanuel-son of terrorist- there is no longer "freedom of speech" as the signing of new "Hate" bill will put final nail in White man's coffin.

  • Wow, look averyone, an idiot.

  • Clyburn can't think outside the box.

  • Liberals are fucking insane.

    And hypocritical.

  • Not the sharpest guy...hilarious. This is a prime example of why it's so confusing that these twits get put up on pedestals.

  • You cannot expect a congressman to go beyond the argument as to whether or not its legal or illegal and actually discuss the merits of whether its moral or immoral.

  • Can a black person work in a china resturant

  • This congressman appears to not understand the concept that the law does not make the right. He literally thinks the law makes the right. So I guess he wouldn't have a problem with the laws in nazi Germany that punished Jews based on race, because that was legal.

This guy is kind of a dolt, and that's probably why he got elected. No offense to all the dolts out there. Didn't mean to step on 3,000,000,000 toes.

  • 1:55 makes no sense. Just because someone does not get a job, that is not discrmination! The person hiring has to make a decision on who is the best for the job.

  • What he's trying to say is that hiring employees, by its nature, is discriminatory. So if you want to throw in a little race discrimination, it's fine, as long as there is more to your reasoning than just that--it can only be a piece of the puzzle in other words. But then the question becomes, which Jan asked: 'why can't you SOLELY use race as a factor...that is what the Black Caucus does'. And the answer is that you can solely use race, even though it may be irrational in most cases.

  • And since it is irrational in most cases, the only time people will use race discrimination is when it is rational. For example, if I needed someone to translate something into spanish, I would look for a Hispanic person, and therefore discriminate against all the other white people. Now according to Clyburn, this is wrong, not because I chose solely on race, but because I somehow deprived all the other white people of their property, by not giving them what they potentially could have earned.

  • that man has no clue how to think.

  • Jan you are a master of logical fallacy. Philosophy teachers should use your videos as a primer on sophistry and all manner of intellectually dishonest thought. Kudos on the hasty generalizations.

  • haha this is the dumbest interview i ever seen.

  • According to Clyburn, racial discrimination is okay, as long as it involves other discriminatory elements and follows basic discriminatory patterns. He then says that SOLELY using race as a means of discrimination is only okay if it doesn't deprive somebody of their property, (and he gives the example of his Black Caucus organization). He becomes irrational though when he implies that refusing to hire a person (solely based on race) somehow deprives that person of his property.

  • Rep Clyburn: " You're trying to change my mind, but you're not gonna do it. Because I have the super duper politician power called Doublethink on my side!" LOL!

  • Being mixed race, this makes me sick. Would I get in, being half black? I wished you would have asked the following; What if your Dad was half black and your Mum was from China? What if both parents were very dark olived skin, and their son came out light black? What if you were white but adopted by a black family? would Michael Jackson have been allowed in? You missed some vital questions there Jan.

  • This has got to be the best interview I've ever seen. You absolutely destroyed him, and the best part was that he knew it. Better yet, he knew that you knew it.

  • nice one! Slam dunk! What a contradiction, hilarious

  • I agree men should be able for form men's clubs and not have any women there. What is a mistake and morally wrong, is to discriminate based on a characteristic that is irrelevant to the purpose of the group. A person's race is irrelevant to whether they should defend black people's rights, thus, they should not be barred from the CBC if they are white Congressmen.

  • Are you assuming that because they are black that they are going to be automatically pro-civil rights or are they going to defend issues that are relevant to black voters in general?

  • @janhelfeld i think one of the reasons why they might discriminate against white people because they feel that whites have not personally endured and experienced the discrimination that they have and thus they cannot accurately make decisions for the black race.

  • @zeefaketest That is a bullshit excuse. I don't know, based on your post, whether or not that is your opinion, but it is exactly bullshit.

  • @janhelfeld Do you honestly think that a black person would efficaciously defend the rights of white people or Christians would efficaciously defend the rights of Jews or visa versa? Personally, I don't think there should be any "groups", but rather congressmen acting as individuals, however, I'm not sure I particular agree with your argument here.

  • see the other video -the contradiction is clear

  • I don't want to run through the mental gymnastics for this but I don't want to ban groups formed because of a single identity because I think men should be able for form men's clubs and not have any women there. Thats why I can't really disagree with this congressmen to much.

  • To say something is fine is to say it is OK, THAT IS, MORALLY RIGHT. It can not be both morally right, and morally wrong.

  • I think the guy was trying to distinguish between immoral discrimination and amoral discrimination such as discriminating against unqaulified job applicants.

  • I kind of agree with the black congressmen because what is the point of having a black caucuss if you allow people who are not black in. Its like men's clubs that only allow men in. By definition it is a man's club so they have to exclude non-men.

  • Which of the two contradictory views do you agree with? Rep. Clyburn contradicts himself several times. He says it is fine to discriminate solely on race and at the same time, he says it is a mistake and morally wrong.

  • Neither are contradictory because he said that its fine to discriminate and he said it is also immoral because it is legally possible to discriminate in some situations where the law doesn't prohibit it and be immoral at the same time.

  • Sorry Rep. Clyburn,

Nobody has a RIGHT to home ownership or the RIGHT to be employed. Those are things you must EARN. WTF has happened to this country?

As for the whole black/jewish/white/purple spaghetti monster caucus thing, it's obvious that collectivism is itself discrimanatory and should have no place in a free society.

Clyburn should watch the Philosophy of Liberty video that is easily found via a YouTube search and get back to honoring the oath he took to defend the Constitution.

  • I agree with you about nobody having the right to homeownership simply because it is not a part of someone's natural rights and natural law (Find T. Paine) in the first place.

  • How will racism end when we continue to use it?

  • Legality = morality?

  • So its ok to discriminate, unless we, the state, say it is not. Bow and obey.

  • That is so true with the thinking that people have now days. If the state says its OK then its OK.

  • Doublespeak reaches new levels or artistry.

  • The saddest part of all Jan's videos is that the people he interviews really seem to believe what they are saying. i get the impression that they are genuinely incapable of seeing how warped and contradictory their behaviors are.

  • Jan, I think a wall would give you more intelligent answers to your questions than these Congress people, but please keep interviewing them.

  • Slavery used to be legal did that make slavery okay?

  • Good job Jan. His own ideas appear contrary to the acceptance of those of his group.

What's morally wrong with a a person of a particular race being part of a social group? I see nothing wrong with a female, Jewish white woman wanting to be part of the black caucus.
