  • Canteen only operates till 10pm. how about people who work night shift ? still driving out to eat. i've been in the campus for sometime and i never got the chance to eat in the canteen as it has been closed during my lunch time. you guys should know there is employees who work odd hours, any caring for them ? besides this few things, everything else is good..no complaints :D

  • No doubt its a good environment. but let me tell u guys something. They know they have plenty of employees and such a big space, but parking were never enough. u double park, warning letter given. HP provide you ONE pool table(80% of the time conquered by our frens from india) and ONE fussball table. We have like 5k employees ATLEAST ? you think its enough ?

  • HP Cyberjaya is far from success and the video shown is more for marketing. Below are some reasons you may want to reconsider if you ever choose to work there. Carrer planning is vital for success. When I joined HP I thought i was making a good choice. After all it was HP .. can you go wrong? My verdict? HP is still a damn good technology company. Unfortunately its being wasted by a management that has poor planning and lacks direction and execution. This is no more apparent than in Cyberjaya.

  • Unfortunately the HP US management ignores the quality of local managers being hired. It wont be surprising the local manager you report to has no background to your scope of work migrated from the US. This is where employee frustration builds. There is an over-dependence on US managers to do the 'real work' and answer questions since they have the 'know how' while the local manager lags behind. What's the local managers for then? What are they managing if US are doing their work for them?

  • In addition to confusion of high workloads in HP, others have alternatively complained they have little or no work. While work is being migrated from Americas to Cyberjaya new staff may not be required to start any work until 'the US management' decides what to send over. This is time wasting. There have been cases people joined HP Cyberjaya and didn't get work to do until months later. In 1 quarter you may just learn 3 excel files! When performance appraisal comes what do you have to show?

  • Workloads in HP are not even. Most work you get are migrated to Cyberjaya from Americas and Europe. some staff complain they have too many things on their plate and local managers (being new to HP) cannot gauge how heavy or complex one person can handle their own work. Chances you will end up being a guinea pig until the management realises workloads are ridiculous. By then a second generation person is hired after you leave. This can go on and on hence explains why the attrition rates are high.

  • Key reasons people left HP - 1. not happy with salary. They hire you with good salaries but increments are not for everyone (more so now given cost cutting) very common among IT staff. 2. new reporting managers have poor experience, scope or know how (sometimes you feel you should have been the manager) 3. timezone, those supporting Americas and Europe dont have a content manager (that means people who really know what your work is about) in Cyberjaya, difficult to solve or address problems

  • It was communicated HP Finance attrition rates (people leaving HP) since it started ops in Cyberjaya is almost 18% (1/5 persons leaving). So this prooves HP is not all it sells itself to be. One mistake I made while I applied was ignoring HP was also hiring managers at the same time. This means new managers are hired while you join. So one can imagine the nightmare if you are assigned to a newbie manager. After a while you realise they dont know the SAP systems, business process or industry.

  • Being an ex HP employee the campus may look attractive at first glance but there are better employers in M'sia. The quality of management in HP finance is below par. They hire managers who do not have IT management experience, the HP way and only look good on paper. If you are aiming for career development and under 5 years experience HP is it. But if you're experienced and really want career direction drop HP. The US staff are better than the local managers so try not to end up with one.

  • 4) charging the staff monthly fee to use the gym? with such minimal fees yet still bitchin about it? Why dont you stay fat and die!

    5) many indian expatriates who are mostly vegetarian, there is no food catered for them. The canteen food is prepared by indian, cook by indian, smells like indian and still complain? bring your own food!!!

    6) Seating arrangement is so tight and close to one another. Fatboy! or gal! lose some pounds first then complain.

  • littlefellowbigbrain!! Let me answer some of your complains posted.

    1) HP Malaysia is more like a chinaman company? No, i still see alot Kelings walkin around acting busy.

    2) promotion only given to chinese? Well, HP learned well from our Govmt, i guess.

    3) Cheap chairs? If you dont like it then pls use the floor. still dont like it? Bring your own expensive and not china-made chair then, problem solved.

  • I don't think Hp is hopeless, I am working there, and my pay is good. I love work@home and flexi hours coz it give me the flexibility to adjust my appointment, my works, etc.

    I am able to learn different technologies, deal with lot of applications, internal trainings are good, career path is clear.

  • Wholly crap... Hopeless place = hp... Low pay.... Low benefits... No bonus... No increament... After sales service support really bad... Product bad design... Eds changed to hp enterprise service even worse...

  • @littlefellowbigbrain, this campus is very new. 2010 was the first year. of course not everything is 100% perfect. when u were born into this world on day 1, did u already know how to walk, poo & wee on your own? the ppl in the video are volunteer employees and it may happen that those who are of certain race are too shy to participate, that's why u don't see them in the video? have you ever think from that perspective?

  • @littlefellowbigbrain, this video is about HP Global Center not HP Malaysia. Not being the employee, you get it all confused. HP Cyberjaya is for finance & IT center of excellence and they support worldwide HP. My advice to you is to do some research before posting many comments in here. I can tell many of your comments are based on hearsay.

  • i am so proud be on of the amazing organization...i believe this is a place where people and not been treated as ANIMAL and we been respectful my our remote manager and local manager...here you can find "LIFE and WORK BALANCES" .......

  • HP Malaysia has destroyed the name of HP by behaving like a chinaman racist company who pay their staff lowly and no much benefits. Employing low quality local staff who dont know the job because they want to pay peanuts, that is why they are loosing all the major projects. Lastly, no I am not a HP staff, thank god for that. But I do have many friends working there who have resigned and told me that HP Malaysia is a truly crap and racist company to work for, definetly not Amazing.

  • @littlefellowbigbrain : Wonder why you so bother about those matters if you are not HP staff. I am a HP staff and this is my pride and i am proud of being HP family member. For your information, i am re-joiner which i being so thankful did i be able to join this amazing organization. I been to GLC and local typical company before..those are suck and management are idiots. HP is the best....stay out of this ok...dont be so busy body if you are not successful to join us...

  • All in All, HP Malaysia seems more like a chinaman company, even small consultant companies are better than this so called international company who pay their staff miserably and have no proper benefits. All high position staff are racist, promotion only given to chinese although many indians are better and these chinese dont even know their job. Promotions given based on race and not on capabilities.

  • Cheap chairs that look like made is China is given to the staff and very uncomfortable. They are boasting about the Gym as if they care about the staffs health and providing it as a benefit, but in fact they are charging the staff monthly fee to use the gym.

  • Despite HP hiring many indian expatriates who are mostly vegetarian, there is no food catered for them. Again another racist act. Come to think of it, I did not see any indian in the video although I know that HP hires alot of indian expatriates. Toilets are broken, dirty and smelly, worse than a public toilet. The cleaning staff is just pouring water to clean, no soap or cleaner used. Seating arrangement is so tight and close to one another, that a person cant even sit or move properly.

  • Cafeteria sell crap malay food which is finished before 2pm and many times worms have been found in the food. Despite the pictures going around, the HP management does not give a damm to ensure that the canteen food is edible. I wonder if the contract was given out due to corruption.

  • Again Amazing my foot, the campus is in a god forsaken place which has no proper public transport and HP while making this stupid advertisement is using an helicopter and cant even provide transport for their staff nor give them transport allowance. This GM is telling alot of lies. The air condition is hopeless and have to be controlled manually and more often than not is freezing and the the technician has to be called 10 times to come and adjust it.

  • Amazing my foot. Is this HP campus or some chinaman company. From the video, it looks more like a chinaman company as all the staff featured there are only chinaman. Or is HP a RACIST company that only employs chinese. .

  • The caffateria never has the veggies and fruits that wee shown. The I terior fixtures and carpets are shipped from America, not from within 500meters. The airconditioning needs to be blasted 24x7 to ensure the work enviroent is decent. The double glazed windows sound good, but in reality provide massive glare and heat to those working near them. Bot all carparks are accessible via covered walkways
