typical ham dorks ha ha ha give me my 11 meter band and a skullcracka lmao this is old school... times have changed..if i say break its on 28 in dx not on a 2 meter ha ha..lets see how many ham dorks jump on this post ha haha hams for sissys.grow some nads and be a pirate station on 27mhz band....
@locowhiteboy69 Do both ham and CB, it's never been easier to get the FCC ticket to run LEGAL on both. CB AROUND HERE IS DEAD, SO HAMS CAN OP ON IT TOO WITHOUT ALL THE BOZOS. I have a vintage Regency Imperial II and Astro Plane. I suppose that CBers like to use a Radidio Shack ten forty channel rig, D104 POWER Mic with roger beep, and running it through the linniker into a coat hanger antenner with some lamp zip cord feedline in yer ten Ford pickumup truck or Trans Am.
Back in that timeframe one had to WORK to get his her ham ticket. None of this QRZ online tests, Gordon West books, no coders, ect ect.... I will bet if things where still like this ( 5, 13 and 20 WPM CW test no books or online tests) nowadays our ham bands would be MUCH quieter!!!!!
@TheZeke1974 Odd comment, because I've never noticed the bands to be over run. Except on a contest weekend. All the ham magazines, all club meetings, are always focused on how we can get more to join our ranks to keep the hobby from dying out. Yet you think the bands should be quieter. FYI, I have some ARRL license manuals that go back over 40 years that were pretty much the same as a Gordon West book.
Its ok that hams arte trying to get new ops into the hobby but the older hams that have been around a long time tend to run them off in short order. Ive been a ham for a few years and they tried to run me off because i was a 5 WPM General but i stood up to them and held my ground and now they leave me alone.... I dont put up with thier BS.
Grt video you have here. Like to see the older stuff. W1WJZ 73's
