Sorry aaroplane but in the scheme of things she has been overlooked and it is a tragedy. Don't mean to be negative but great music is often a phenomenom which takes time for the masses to absorb. I hope she lives a long life to feel the recognition she so deserves. And all I listen these days is Samuel Barber, Lutoslawski, MIles, Lee Morgan, Freddie Hubbard etc no vocals with lyrics...she still rings in my ears.

What a sound... she equals Coltrane, Holiday, Lee Morgan... Miles Davis etc etc in her unique tone and honest messages. Too much to be ignored wake up people..........
A beautiful voice and the intimacy of the performance are what connect me to this. Lovely and spare and a keeper.

The finest music is often underground. I have nothing inherently against popular art, though how often does art really happen on a mass scale?
I sort of like that she's obscure. Hope she's doing swell. Marvelous she is.

I saw her that night, she was so fantastic. Her lack of general popularity is only explained by what mess IS popular with the general public!!
