The monks referred to are in opposition to the Dalai Lama not against him. It is an important distinction and they are not aginst their own govt. The Dalai Lama as the leading spiritual authority of Tibetans will have considered his view carefully before passing his judgement. Once again a snippet of a documentary has been taken out of context and been given a misleading title.

Wow a DS puja, i wish I could attend one in this lifetime. Teaching through debate, wish we could do more of this in school. It sharpens the mind to debate, rather than leave children to absorb on their own. Some just can't soak it in, but you see how engaged all the young monks are listening to the "for" and "against".

One of the best features about Tibetan Buddhism is the debate system where each monk can really test the foundation of his belief. we too should read to gain knowledge - know what each side says or believes so that we can understand better and come to our own decision from impartial wisdom rather than hearsay.

However, my Guru also gave me the precious Protector practice of Dorje Shugden which i will hold dearer than life itself. With my Guru to guide me, although i respect Dalai Lama, i don't need to go to his teachings. My Guru's teachings and my Dharma Protector practice are MORE than enough for me.

He does not want to be involved in politics but we know that without him the Tibetan cause would not get any attention from global society. (ex..darfur, burma etc..)..dalai lama and the lhasa government before the chinese occupation did not have lot of control over many tibetan region...ex kham etc..

The monks referred to are in opposition to the Dalai Lama not against him. It is an important distinction and they are not aginst their own govt. The Dalai Lama as the leading spiritual authority of Tibetans will have considered his view carefully before passing his judgement. Wow a DS puja, i wish I could attend one in this lifetime. Teaching through debate, wish we could do more of this in school. It sharpens the mind to debate, rather than leave children to absorb on their own. Some just can't soak it in, but you see how engaged all the young monks are listening to the "for" and "against".

I have no desire to go to HH Dalai lama's talks. I do respect him for what he represents and my Guru respects him and never says any ill of him. However, my Guru also gave me the precious Protector practice of Dorje Shugden which i will hold dearer than life itself. With my Guru to guide me, although i respect Dalai Lama, i don't need to go to his teachings. My Guru's teachings and my Dharma Protector practice are MORE than enough for me.

Being a Tibetan myself, i think i know a liitle bit more about Tibetan peoples attitude towards dalai lama more than you do. The tibetan people put dalai lama in a position that he is right now. He does not want to be involved in politics but we know that without him the Tibetan cause would not get any attention from global society. (ex..darfur, burma etc..)..dalai lama and the lhasa government before the chinese occupation did not have lot of control over many tibetan region...ex kham etc..

the Dalai Lama's Tibet slaughtered their own people to make flutes with their bones and drumbs with their skin and skulls, they burnt 1/3 of the Tibet's butter in sanctuaries, they starved people to death, they trated women as ''kimen'' (the tibetan word for woman, wich means inferior born) they made work their own people as slaves. So, the Teng's revisionist and criminal regime is explioiting the Tibetan people, but even now, the Tibetans are much better than in the Lama's era

First of all, China's 56 ethnics and how the government treats them.
Also, Tibet got it's buddhism and adopted some points like casteism as well (=you are born a nobe or slave, no effort can change that).
Besides, the Dalai Lhama is chosen by a theocratic lottery and is given absolute power as baby...

well, China is not a single ethnic country, so, there isn't a ''chinese race'' but there is a ''chinese people'' and tibetans belong to that people, even if they aren't Han as the people you call ''chinese''
so, there are chinese people who isn't Han, for example, mongols who have lived for centuries in China.
In fact, the chinese country is composed of 56 different ethnic groups including Han, Mongols, Turkmens, Tibetans, etc.
