I am considering getting this for my white Macbook (there's already a lot of scratches on it lol) and I heard things about the zipper actually makes contact with the laptop when inside...is there any truth to that?

there is some truth to it, i also have the case and i love it so much, i recommend getting it over any other case. it does touch the mac a very tiny bit, but i have only seen thins on the macbook pro line and not the macbook, and even if it is to touch the corner of the mac, it doesn't scratch it at all.
