  • What is the voltage in ac or dc and the gauge of the trolly wire?

  • Thats so Cool, I've always beleived if you have room for ride-on size trains, you have room for a real 1:1 feldbahn equipment, this is more proof of that!

  • Three bells: reverse. Two bells: forward.

    Engine on genset is British.

Takes a lot of property to have your awon railroad of ANY size.

  • @RRGary The engine is a Lorimer diesel built in Oakland, California

Okay, tnx. Looked like it might have been a Oliver. Name cast in side of block was difficult to read.

  • We have done the same thing with a supply voltage of 24 volts (DC). This does not work well ! Very bad contacts on the rails. What voltage do you use ?

    Bravo for your beautiful facility.

  • I find it interesting that nearly the entire run was done while backpoling

  • The uphill run is all backpoling. The initial run down to the trestle and the segment up to and just after the switch the pole is trailing.

  • With that lil white power generator thing what is it's Max RPM and Max Wattage ouput? =)

  • Can I swap any one Grandparents? Lol naww wish I had something like this it's so awesome how does one afford a network set up like this minus the power line =)

  • The hardest thing would be to find the rail and overhead line hardware.

  • Hey Craig, That's pretty cool. When was this filmed?

  • We filmed this a week or so ago before the wire came down for tree work. ---john.
