I think the Boy's axe has somewhat better balance, but at the end of the day it just feels better in my hand. There is no specific reason, I just like it more.
Thanks. In the first three videos I was using a modified Council Tools Boy's axe. In this last one I was using an old True Temper axe that I hung on a Council Tool Boy's axe handle.

I noticed you earlier reviewed a Council hudson bay and now seem to be using a Council boys axe as your main user. Why the preference?

One thing that may not be obvious to beginners is that most axes require sharpening to do the carving that you demonstrate in this video. Great job!
