I don't think you understood what i wrote... i said he uses the venezuelan people´s money to buy friends (presidents) (Evo Morales in Bolivia, Daniel Correa in Ecuador, Daniel Ortega in Nicaragua, Fidel Castro, Mahmmoud Ahmadinejad in Iran, so on). Which rich elites are getting richer or becoming billionaires in Venezuela? He doesn't buy just the poor with promises, he buys supporters in other countries through money that could be very well spent for health or education in our own.

In fact i think Bush and Chavez are not far appart from each other... I hate when people take parties just because they hate one guy and don't care about the other... Take Sean Penn for example, he gives Sh*t about Venezuela, but since he wants to make a point about Bush, he comes down here and shows "support" towards Chavez. I do watch movies to forget reality, it's sad but reality is sometimes stranger than fiction. My opinion is that Fidel read the book by Eric Blair, and then decided to sell the revolution to other countries, Chavez bought the franchise and is now selling franchises of it's own. Talking about poverty... Why does Chavez keep poverty levels so high? I know why... To have someone to buy CHEAP with venezuelan oil revenue. He only gives enough to keep people on his side, but without elevating their quality of life. He buys friends in other countries with that same oil, while the people of Venezuela die of hunger. Almost 10 years would have given enough time to reduce the unemployment indexes, therefore increasing, at least, the quality of life.

In our country, hundreds of people die because of delinquency, but the government says most of it is an exaggeration staged by the opposition. There are many reporters and journalists with legal procedures opened against them with any excuse just because they criticize the government's actions.
