  • KREEPY!

  • I WOULD BE SOO FREAKIN SCARED IF I WERE DORATHY!

  • 100 times I watched this & the first time I see Gumps head 2:34 on the wall behind her when Em exits☺

  • 15 years old and still creeped out by this. Don't think I'll be able to bathe without getting paranoid.

  • That woman in black still scares the crap out of me even in 2012.

  • that machine used to scare the fuck out of me

  • Haha sure they still use Shock Treatment! On people suffering from Dementia and other mental illnesses.

  • this is disturbing in more ways than one. Dorothy is given electroshock torture because she's talking about her programme. Then she disassociates and goes back to Oz(notice that after she's strapped down she then 'escapes'). This is based in the 1800's. Didn't they know what Valerian Root was??

  • That nurse looks like the stepmother from Cinderella.

  • At least they weren't shoving ice picks in her eyes, or bleeding her. . . But electric shock is pretty horrible too,and all because she couldn't sleep. . . :/

  • Fixed the sound, my ass. this is some of the crappiest audio I've heard on a video.

  • I wouldnt wana b left with that scary looking lady...ill have nightmares 4 weeks!!!!

  • sure leave a little girl with the creepy doc nurse duo wat an awesome idea (sarcasm)

  • they lock up dorothy in the nuthouse?

  • I don't really know if the Doctors explanations of "excess currents" are actually what was accepted as fact back in 1899, but it's so creepy anyway.

  • You cant beat the original film!!!!

  • This part of the movie is scary, and trippy :O

  • Was that really legeal? Its like a ailen movie. its meesed up and scares the crap out of me

  • @PureMagicGurlz shock treatment was standard treatment for psychiatric patients for a long time. They also had treatments like placing people in an ice cold bath, then a searing hot bath - it was barbaric

  • "Will it hurt???" "No,no,no,no,no" Yeah, right, sending electrical currents through someones body (especially a child's) won't hurt at all....Just like that fire you'll burn in at the end of the movie, you lying bastard!!! ((:~LOL))

  • 5:17 -5:21 she combs the pumpkin like if that was funny as heck

  • I'm a wicked and saw 2 things that made me freak the nurse is wearing sonthing like Elphabas second act dress and auntie em looks a little like madem moriable just saying...

  • Was that Darth Vaders breath I heard when the lady in black appeared?

  • This is why i behave myself-My mother would say stuff like "if you dont behave the wheelers will get you!" and "they'll take you to that hospital" haha it used to scare me but i laugh at it now :)

  • The mental hospital scares the shit out of me. 0_0

  • This is how dark and disturbing Tim Burton's Alice In Wonderland should have been. Alas, it wasn't. I'm 18 and this film still creeps me out, especially the Wheelers.

  • Did they invent light bulbs in the 1800s? Or was it 1901,cuz the movie takes place in the late 1800s

  • @Zeldanerd64

The first light bulb came out in 1879 and the first Oz book by Frank Baum was first published in 1900.

  • The Wicked Witch did not die! She ran 2 Kansas with Fiyero and got watever surgery Michael Jackson did 2 become white and now works 4 this doctor guy! Haha!!

  • ECT in 1900 is a scary thing for a child's movie!

  • Am I the only one thinking of 'Silent Hill' when watching this scene?

  • @forbiddenbreath Nope...=P

  • @SexyBootyShakerBabe i know its super creepy. i can't believe its disney. i never knew.

  • So far this sequel to the colourful, Disney musical 'The Wizard of Oz' contains far too many J-horror-style suspense shots, electro-shock therapy scenes and screams of terrified mental patients.

  • I forgot how dark this was...they even explained the origins of the Tin Man, how he cut his body parts off with his axe and had them replaced with tin...

  • Wasnt Dorothy like 16 in the first one? this girl looks like shes 12

  • @HMarie245 this is following the book more than the film

  • @ripthefranks ahh makes sense, i never read the book.

  • This movie gave me nightmares as a child but I was fascinated by it and rented it at least 20 times! People think I am crazy when I try to explain it! Thank you for posting!

  • Crap, that freakin' nurse scares the shit outta me and I'm 18!

  • haha i remember when i was little, i thought this movie was so scary

  • wow the sound quality is terrible

  • they think making a child happy will happen with electric shocks T_T

  • i have asked so many people about this movie, and no one ever knew about it. at least i know i wasn't making shit up ahaha

  • I think I have just the thing to cheer Dorothy up!

    ...

Electro shock therapy will make you all happy and cheerful again!!!!

    Yeah right...-_-

  • Is That Place An Asylem Or Something??

  • @shannonh1994 Yeah it is...back then they throught you could cure insane people with electro shock threrapy- So basicaly they found a new thing (electric) and wanted to use it for everthing because its was new.... x_x

Also love the wheelers >:D Cant wait for them t come in LOL

  • @shannonh1994

Basically, yes. Scary-ass bitch nurses, Electro-Convulsive Therapy machines (like the one just shown), beds with restraints, and all.

  • I really never realized that they were going to give her electric shocks; I was little when I watched this (unable to read) and had no idea what they were going to do to her. I was like "What the hell is that?" And then years later I'm thinking about it and I think "OMG! They were trying to shock her!!!!"

  • Holy crap.. this movie was released 5 years before I was born, June 21st 1985. And my husband thinks that I look like Dorothy.. Weird.

  • You can tell something's up with that nurse. Just look at those pointy shoulder poofs.

  • "Just the thing to cheer Dorothy up".....Electroshock therapy, of course! o.o

  • Thanks for posting this! Its awesome, thanks for fixing the sound! I always loved this movie as a kid!!! :)

  • This movie scared the hell out of me when I was a kid! I don't think I saw it more than once, but I can still remember it. It still creeps me out...I had nightmares of those wheely guys for weeks.

  • @amyliz143ny same! them things gave me nightmares! and that lady with them heads

  • I love how the doctors trying to amuse dorothy with the face-like features of the machine and she's just like, "umm, ok, sure." lol

  • @godofrock2004 Yeah, that Doctor guy is a creep!

  • @71crm he really is a creep

  • omg i finally found it! for years i have been trying to figure out what movie this was! i watched this movie when i was younger and all i remembered about it was the girl being in a crazy hospital where she escapes and falls in a river and there is a witch with a bunch of heads! im so happy i finally figured it out! yey! (:

  • i've always thought this movie was so scary, yet so fascinating at the same time.. ever since i was little. one of my favorites.

  • After hearing the screams from other patience it makes you wonder if the place that Dorothy is in a Clinic or a Insane Asylum.

  • @Theshark15z back then it would've been the same thing really.

  • Sexy nurse is Queen Mavorda from Willow! *remembers

And the woman who is Aunt Em,played Carrie's mom. {70's movie

    Carrie.}

  • what does she say at 7:20?

  • @miZzjoJO119 She syas "Did I hear someone scream earlier?"

  • @Whit451 thanks!

  • @miZzjoJO119 Actually I didn't know what she was saying either but when I got the DVD I watched it with subtitles so that helped me to find out what she was saying.

  • Electricity/lightening is something that truly scares me in real life. So,...this movie fucking terrifies me! D:

.....but i havent seen it in years and years, so i want to watch it again X3

  • Geez the old lady in black is scary!

  • Lady in black is Queen Bavorda from Willow.

  • I didn't like Return to Oz much maybe because of the fact that its so different to the first one. This once is more eerie thats for sure :/

not filled with happy thoughts but spooky ones.

  • @Moviestar20 It is based on different books. The books were just as dark as the movie.

  • Woman in black dress...Queen Bavmorda from Willow?? XD

  • @LuvAngelxoxoJB Jean Marsh

  • hmm...the sound is weird...

  • sound quality is low compared to the other ones, but at least its synched

  • Though the audio is perfectly mached with the video but still not clear, anyways like you said it's the only one so thanks.

  • Is the woman in black suppose to represent the Witch perhaps?

  • Oh My God is the lady in green the bitch from Carrie!

  • Why did they have to tie her down? My sister said that it was to hold her still for when they give her the shock.

  • im 28 now, and it still freaks me out, when dorethy is getting the magic powder and then that head wakes up ahhhhhhhh and the body gets out of bed ....

  • find the doctor slightly creepy ...

  • the ladys neck part of her black dress reminds me of Jack Skellingtons bow tie :)

  • why the FUCK does she comb the pumkin? i haven't the slightest idea but i love when she does it.

  • Boredom maybe? I mean there's no books or anything in that room.

  • @Burtonnut ahahah true.

  • @CoutureBabeh she's a small child who is lonely

  • @CoutureBabeh It's called being a kid and using her imagination. Something that the adults in this movie were trying to take from her in this clip.

  • @7mandoblu Obviously the pumpkin mirrors Jack, but you could also say that her combing of the pumpkin , treating it as something live, foreshadows her entire motherly relationship with Jack.

  • @TeaCub That's true too. I like that.

  • @7mandoblu The same way adults in the world of psychiatry today still try to take it away from children today using psychotropic drugs!!

  • @CoutureBabeh i know right

  • Ozma is beautiful.

  • Good upload =]

  • It's Ozma through the glass, the film should explain as it goes along.

  • Whos that girl who sends her to oz?

  • you say you fixed the sound? honestly i think the sound was as fine as it could be in the first video... was the rest of the sound very bad at first? it seems the audio in this video is out of sync with the video... can that be fixed?

  • electric shock for sleep problem? whoa!

  • Woah, is that Alice throughhe looking glass at 1:35?

  • SCARY ASS MOVIE!

  • nothing like electric shock treatment to make you sleep better XD

  • I have had electric shock treatment befor i enjoyed it.

  • @coolbrian15 I did to but my eyes keep lighting up.

  • i forget pinkerton said it must've been alice but wasn't that the good witch sister of the wicked witch? oh well guess i have to watch the rest so it can jog my memory

  • Fairuza! Loved her in The Craft.

  • merry chrismas form keighley - england

  • I know she's not rachel hurd wood but for some reason to me she looks a lot like a younger version of her?Maybe it's just me. Wow, this movie brings back memories.

  • heh... i love how when the doctor says "nothing to worry about" there's pretty much always something to worry about...

  • LOL! What happend to the audio? Oh well, things happen.

  • I don't care about the audio, at least I can watch it :)

  • there going to kill her

  • Yeah she is also in the movie Willow again playing an evil character.

  • and in twin peaks playing an evil character and carrie playing an evil character

  • Thanks so much for the upload. I've been looking everywhere for this movie.

  • the blonde mirror chick must be alice

  • god this is creepy

  • So basically the doctor is going to be shocking Dorothy's brain? Isn't that kind of a mean thing to do to a little girl? I mean did they really do things like this to kids?

  • I believe so.

  • It's how they used to treat mental disorders in the early 20th century.

  • Yeah, the doctor claimed his electro-shock therapy would cure her insomnia since her return from Oz. It's quite a creepy scene.. I remember watching this as a kid.

  • Could they really do that to kids back then?

  • I would imagine. Her parents were the ones that sent her there.

  • Actually they were her aunt and uncle and doing something like this to a child I mean wouldn't it have really damaged her brain?

  • @Whit451

it wouldnt now but im not sure if they would know how much voltage would damage the brain back in the 1800s

  • o god man this si scary :S electrci shock therapy :S......horrible..........

  • Well, at least the medical staff seems warm and friendly...

  • she died :( too much pressure i guess

  • how lovely fairuza balk is when she was just a lil` girl, can't imagine what she is now.. ahaa` but never mind, this movie is one-of-mii-FAVE.. fairuza did a great job towards her rOle as Dorothy!!! u..

  • check out The Waterboy if you want to see what she looks like now.

  • The sound quality is horrible!! but thanks for the upload anyway

  • Why does he say this is the best version on Youtube? the quality is ungodly horrendous! and in snufkinshat's upload you can actually understand what the characters are saying!!!

  • Then why not watch that one instead of complaining?

  • I used to think this movie wasn't real and I just dreamed it but it is real so I'm happy. Haha. I was obsessed with the Wizard of Oz and I watched this. But, then I could never find this again so I thought it wasn't real. But it is. Yay!

  • Same!!

  • you gotta love the American Psychiatric Service frying a child's brain as therapy

  • well then you tell me how to prevent them from telling on you for molesting them!

  • Comment removed

  • @Jez32uk ikr

  • @Jez32uk would you like fries with that?

  • @Jez32uk

Monarch Programming/ MK ULTRA mind Control

    watch?v=Xhrh_8fUKhM

  • I remember I went to the movies with my cousins when we were like 5-7 years old (I was the youngest) but years later when I talked about it, none else remembered and they always showed me The Wizard of OZ (why people keep calling that movie the original? Return to Oz is not a sequel; they are different movies, both of them based on OZ books). For I while I wonder if I dreamed it, just as many of you. I just love it, is so dark...

  • Why does he think telling Dorothy that the machine has a face will make her less scared? I'd never sleep again...

  • where they planning on giving her ect like they did in the movie one flew over the cuckoos nest

  • like... i used 2 love this movie when i was 9. i would watch it over and over again... but now watching it as a 18 year old.... its quite disturbing.... idk maybe this is why im soo fucked up. lol

  • the sound to me is bad but at least you can hear it at all

  • when the doctors rambling on & see shes a girl through the window, whos is that meant to be ? just someone at the door or someone from oz?

  • someone from OZ tht she helped in the first movie i think

  • she's from OZ and appers in other oz books but never appered in the 1st movie.

  • there are other oz books?! they should make another oz movie x)

  • thats ozma youll see who she is at the end of the movie

  • its princess ozma

  • the only thing i dont like about his movie is the fact that Dorothy seemed to be like 15 or 16 in the original and in this movie shes like 12 looking. Sure doesnt seem like 6 months later.

  • the year 1900! wow! poor girl...the way those machines were they probably did hurt!

  • The guy pushing the gurney looks like one of the Wheelers!

  • I think its cause they just reused the gurney guys for the Wheelers.

  • na, if u think about it, most of the stuff she sees in the hospital is stuff that influences charachters in her "dream"

  • That's what I mean. They use the head nurse as Mambi, Ozma as the little girl who saved Dorothy so why not the gurney guys as the wheelers? I don't think it was a dream. I think it really happened but she was sent back as thinking she was dreaming. But it could've been a dream too. Either way, some of the characters played doubles in the movie.

  • im unsure if it was real or not, i mean Ozma gave her a pumpkin at the start so tht wwas the inspiration for Jack, and the electric machine for Tic Toc, so id say its just a case of things that had a big impact on he int he hospital in her dream appeared as the charchters, and i wud say the gurney guys were def the inspiration for the wheelers, mayby shes just on crack n thats y she thinks it was real

  • If she was dreaming inside the hospital and she really didn't go to Oz again then how'd she make it outside at the end of the movie?

  • Na she fel in the river mind n got KOd

  • yes that was the point to make u find similarities between our world and oz which makes u wonder whether its a little girls imagination or real

  • Much Better Thank U!

  • what did the electricity do?

did it make them mentally retarded?

  • I think it damaged their brains or something like that.

  • Thanks for uploading. This film brought back so many memories. :)

  • omg i love this movie

  • wait a minute- where are all the other parts of the movie???

  • wow- i was just about to comment on the other ones about the horrible audio matching!! why does that happen-why even bother posting those?? thanks so much for this now i can finally watch it!!

  • Sorry, im working on it right now. Part 3 & for will be up Really soon. Just keep a look out for it. im working on part 3 this very moment.;) I had an important birthday video to work on, so now im back to return to oz project.
