I passed through Lopburi on the train on the way to Chiang Mai.

Tip. If you are going to Chiang Mai via train, best to take the night train, and air con. Forget day train. Forget third class with fan.

If you are going to Chiang Mai and taking off on the morning train leaving Hualamphong in the morning at 7:30 am, stop at Lopburi at 10 am. Stay in Lopburi. Hop back on the train to Chiang Mai leaving at around 10 pm. You will be in Chiang Mai at around 9am the next morning.
