@a7x123447 Pokey's are Mario enemies that were inhereted from the Japanese game Doki Doki Panic along with Shy Guys, Ninjis, and some other enemies (The game that the Western version of SMB2 was built over). The first Mario game they appeared in was the Western SMB2 and since then have appeared in numerous other Mario titles such as Super Mario World, Super Mario 64, and many more. They move very slowly towards Mario no matter where he is from them (on a horizontal access, they can't fly).
