@varun009 idd i read online about the smith machine, that if you was doing barbell with 20kg plate both sides adding to 60kg(with bar) you would have to put 30kg either side on smith machine to get the same
I seriously think you should retire from teaching weighting. Spreading crappy information does no one good, most people just think you are a tool or dicking around.
Please provide links to studies that show superior muscle development. According to the EKG results I've seen DB bench is best then BB bench. Or should we just take your word for it - you've developed such an impressive chest (that's sarcasm BTW)
@TheRealCartman1 Yes you are correct DB bench is better than BB bench. Please don't take my word for it. As i said in my previous comment. I simply ask you to observe someone who has put on a lot of weight while doing the barbell bench press. I can guarantee you that they will compensate on form just to get the bar up and down. I witness this time and time again the bar will go lopsided. How can a bar lopsided be good for even muscle development?
@WizFitness Simple, they are lifting too much weight, everyone needs to learn proper form first before using any weight. If the bar is lopsided or they are lifting their butt off the bench they need to lower the weight. A DB bench followed by the BB bench is the best way to gain muscle, people just need to learn to do it correctly. Using a smith machine is just a lazy way out for stupid people to do it and is in no way better.
@TheRealCartman1 Yes that is correct they do not have correct form. However 90% if not more do not know how to do barbell bench press correctly. For the 10% of people that do know how to do it correctly doing heavier weights is just putting more wear & tear on their shoulders. I am not doubting the effectiveness of this exercise it is a great mass builder. However why do an exercise that can cause an injury? This is just my opinion you don't have to listen. Check it out in your gym for yourself
@WizFitness you do realize your only lifting about 100 lbs. and you make it look hard. second your talk about having perfect form, which is way hypocritical. you have no range of motion when your working your pecks you need to fully extend your arms and flex the pecks . and third, the main purpose of working out is to cause injury to your muscles. it'd be better to say an accident because you contradict the whole purpose of working out when you just say injury.
@WizFitness thats true for any excercise, if you overload the weight your gonna fuck up form, so they should learn to control the weight first. but smith machines restrict the natural movemnt of the bench press, its not just a vertical movement. the strating position is closer to your lower pecs and when your arms are fully extended, the bar is closer to bieng above your neck. laydown and try the bench movement without the bar right now and youll see that. your gonna injur yourself
@TheRealCartman1 db is better than barbell?that depends on how long ur arms are,how broad ur shoulders are.I got big chest doing only barbell and flyes,i have broad shoulders and avg length arms. The only thing DB is better is for inner chest and stabilization muscles,i never needed these.
@WizFitness Name one. You can't, because there aren't any. The smith forces an unnatural straight bar path. It helps develop faulty motor patterns. It takes any stabilisers out of the equation.
@WizFitness Meaningless jargon. Which specific tissues in the shoulders do you think experience reduced strain? why? And even if true, why do you think this is a good thing? And even muscle development? More jargon. I'd like to see you try to justify that one.

@WizFitness Again, you make no sense. WHY do you think people will be lopsided on the barbell bench? But not dumbbells? Or the smith? HOW do you think the smith magically makes people push evenly? (TIp: It doesn't. Even if the problem exists, the smith will HIDE it, it won't fix it) In any case, this global problem of lopsided bench presses and uneven chest development is entirely in your imagination. What next, smith machine deadlifts so you don't pull unevenly?
@jusgivmeafknusername Well the dumbbells you push with a more natural movement so its better. How do you push unevenly on the smiths? I am truly curious to find out.
the smith machine is a piece of crap. you get no negative with it. do some real workouts you pussy.

If you're going to teach then teach it correctly

You don't have a clue what you're doing and shouldn't be teaching exercise form. You're going to get someone injured.

Mate you do NOT know how to bench, OR squat, and you should NOT be giving advice to anybody.
Seriously. Stop this shit. You're just another idiot giving bad info and making the clueless even more confused.

@jusgivmeafknusername One is it takes the strain off of your shoulders. 2. Promotes even muscle development within the chest. This can continue.....
Lastly if you want to hit the stabilisers then you will do dumbbell bench press NOT barbell bench press

@WizFitness You seriously can't work it out for yourself? Push on an unloaded smith machine bar with one hand (offset). See what happens.
