you are such a lucky and blessed man to work with B. Cox....he is a musical genious!!!! He is the reason why i started producing music. I really look up to him...he is my favorite producer of all time. He is also a great man it seems like, personality wise. I really hope to meet him one day....its been a dream of mine to meet him and work with him...i only hope it becomes a reality....but yes you are a lucky lucky man sir....keep up the great work :D
suggestion! wear a lav for speaking, put the cam on a tripod scanning over the console, set up a U87 back middle of room for audio so we can better hear the EQing, dynamics ect :) :) that would be awesome and then u dont haveto hold the camera (or you could hold a 2nd cam!!) lol
Ahhh!! look who it is it's B-cox's Engineer Love this guy...and love this song big ups to you guys. I'm an writer also and I can't wait to hit the studio with ppl like you one day
school them cats please!! they don't know what splicing tape is. man if you mess up you have to start all over. there is no undo!!! haha. inspiration for real fellas. keep doing your thing
Wow...I know this is nearly a 2 year old thread, but really, how could people miss that as being half inch, 2 track.
For the non-obvious out there, some dead giveaways: notice the narrow tape width. Two meters. Sam's mention at 0:48. Sam's intention of "printing a final pass". How many more hints do you need?
Not trying to be a smart ass - just encouraging observation and the use of good old fashioned common sense here people. Appreciate the past. Know the tools!
I'd quit engineering before I'd mix garbage pop music.

What speed do you record at?
tharemedybeats 2 years ago
@tharemedybeats he's not actually recording to tape... only final mix-down for some of that tape saturation before mastering.
