  • Wow Great singing! You have an amazing voice and pronunciations and rhythms sounded perfect! Keep up the singing :)

  • it's in tune it's well put together ... but how much more white can the soloist sound ... her intonation is great but all her consonants sound so valley girl

  • i was in this group of singers =] really glad someone recorded it. i am trying to find the other songs we sang last year and this year

  • Yeah, I couldn't find any others from this performance either. My family just recorded this one when they found out I had the solo. What voice part were you?

  • @Singingmyheartout3

I think you did an amazing job. But your vowels are im afraid to say doing this song no justice.

Its african music and the pronunciation wasnt. But otherwise it was fabulous :)

  • @HeyyKittyTV ha ha, listening to this now, I'm not a fan of my vowels or pronunciation either, but I did my best for that moment. :)

  • @Singingmyheartout3 It was good(: For that moment haha

  • @Singingmyheartout3

    i have been a soprano 1 for the past 3 years =]

  • Pretty good voice, but it slides a bit.

  • I performed in this as well! Its so good to hear this song again! By chance do you have any of the other songs we sang? Particularly Homeland because that was my all time favorite!

  • Unfortunately, no. Sorry. :/ I loved that song too!!

  • Dang. I can't find them anywhere. :/ I have found Ye Shall Have a Song but it wasnt performed by us. Let me know if you ever happen to come upon one! : )

  • Many thanks for your great performance of my Gloria from Missa Kenya! I really enjoyed hearing this. And I thought the soprano soloist was GREAT!!!

    Cheers, Paul Basler

  • Oh my gosh, thank you!! I'm so honored by your comment! Your song is one of my favorite choir pieces!

    ~Anna

  • it sounds like your saying Domini instead of domine. and the quasi chant piece seemed like 1 section was off a bit. or maybe its just the video quality.

  • Who conducted this?

  • Dr. Joseph Henry of Eureka College.

  • this was awesome! you did an amazing job! i enjoyed it better live though!

  • Lauw dah moos taaaay

I don't know. Something irks me about the pronunciateion there.

  • yeah...it's quite possible that I messed up some of the pronunciation, but I only found out that day that I had the solo and I only got to practice it with the choir about three times. :) I'll try better next time! :)

  • *Pronunciation. And it's Latin. "Laudamus Te." She's pronouncing it all perfectly. =)

  • Nah, she's pronouncing it with an American English accent, as are most of the choir, I think. Latin R's are kinda rolled a bit. She did alright, though, for somebody with minimal time to practice.

  • i just wanna say that its good but im in middle school and we dont sing THAT good but i think we do better especialy sice our soloist is long-island so he has the perfect voice, he's a tenor and our under study is a base he is awsomee and he has the perfect voice for the solo as well

  • you do have a great voice! what a great day! hope ya make all-state next year! by the way i was an alto 1 in the first row!

  • gorgeous

  • Wow Anna, this is amazing. You'll be at All-State next year for sure. Maybe even Honors.

  • This is amazing dear, you have a GREAT voice! =D

  • ok, more generally about the whole IMEA performance, it was a great program! Looking forward to see more videos of your performances!

oh and by the way, I'm the saxophon solist who performed in "the echo never fades" :P

  • No, I don't, elvenange, sorry. :/ Thanks for your comment!

  • great tune and great performance!!
