  • The best song in DAO. Can't stop listening...

  • By George! I've been looking for this song for ages! It was on Mass Effect 2 and Dragon Age 2 but could never find it on iTunes. What a great song :D

  • I would really like to hear the music/soundtrack of the Denerim side quests pre/post battle. Anybody?

  • It's funny how it is THIS one that really stands out for me from DA:O soundtrack. Sure, i love Leliana's song, love song and "i'm the one" like everyone else does... The thing is that most of the time, like during combat when i have to focus on fighting, i don't even notice the music playing at the moment. But whenever i went to Lake Calenhad, it was so peaceful that i just had to stop on my tracks and keep listening to it. Then i got addicted, lol. It's amazing how music can affect you.

  • @rukih and it's always the best songs that get left off of the soundtrack :D I agree wholeheartedly. I've written poetry to this song, I was so disappointed it wasn't on the soundtrack... but now I have it!

  • Best song in the game and they didn't include it in the released soundtrack :( but at least I can play it here

  • That chorus part is just... Wow. Unbeatable.

  • 1:26 is probably the most entrancing part.

  • @MrSeanhinchley Can you load the tracks on itunes?

  • @Jjrmtv no idea, i use youtube converters

  • i love this song. i would just sit at calenhad for a while and let it play... so serene, and kind of sad, in a nice way. when a game's music hits you this strong, it's definitely something you don't forget. <3 this game!

  • Wow awesome upload. Been looking for this.

  • At around a minute in it always sounds like muted screams behind a playful, innocent melody. So fitting, not only for the scenic presentation of the Circle Tower against a night sky, but also on a deeper level of the Chantry, the Templars, and the Magi beneath them both. In my mind, this song is one of those rare instances where the medium of music just perfectly captures what it's presenting.

  • So magical, so out of this world. Out of 60 hours I spent on this game good 2 hours must have been spent on just standing in front of the lake and gazing at my mage's home. In the end my mind simply slipped away into this.

  • I have been looking for this!! I don't have the PC version, so I can't get the music from folders. :<

  • Wounded Coast :D

  • 1. Look at this URL.

    2. Put 'endless' between the dot and 'youtube'.

    3. Press 'enter'.

    4. Let it repeat FOREVER.

As Nicholasssk said, you are a QUEEN, Ilnezhara!

  • they used this for the wounded coast in DA2 i think aswell

  • I think the first part of this song uses an instrument called a "hang drum". You can search Youtube to see how it sounds, and I think you'll agree.

  • Dragon Age Origins is epic because it has soul

  • So peaceful that word cannot express...

  • This song is impressive. Your're there for only a short time as it is not one of the bigger areas, but I instantly fell in love with this. It reminds me of a quiet lake I was living close. If any other game ever should use a song again, it should be this one.

  • I looooove this song. So perfect for any Dragon Age environment.

  • This song (mostly the beginning) reminds me of Kurast Docks from Diablo 2 ... am I the only one?

  • This music really hits home when the Templar is at the Lakes' edge, praying for his dead friends. One of those moments in a video game when music, art direction and writing mesh perfectly. Brilliant.

  • AWW YEAH! wounded coast music!

  • Awesome! Thank you so much for this! I have been searching high and low for this!

  • I have been looking for this everywhere, thanks for putting this up :)

  • anyone able to actually tell me where I could buy this from for my Iphone?

Trying to get a legitimate copy of something is harder then you'd think hehe

  • This tune can also be heard in dragon age 2 in the wounded coast area.

  • @Hidey0shi not only did they reuse settings from within that game, they reused music from previous ones.

  • o shit

in 2 hours and 20 minutes I'm going to pick up dragon age 2

    that's only 8,400 seconds

    8,398 aaaaaa

  • i never really noticed this music, it's awesome

  • What's this being played with? must be computer instruments

  • @kappaman431 either that or (at least at the beginning) a hang drum.

  • Thank you SO MUCH for uploading this. This is the one song from DA:O that has stuck in my head for a year since my three successive play-throughs :)

  • I LOVED this part. Seeing the Circle Tower loom up in the darkness, the ripple of the waters, the stillness of the moment. Breathtaking. This was particularly true given my Mage background.

I wish this song appeared throughout the game more. So haunting, ephemeral, mysterious, but also very calm...it makes me feel like there are deep secrets about to be uncovered, or ancient ruins, or something...this should have been the main music for the Sacred Ashes quest.

    One of my favorite tracks.

  • i fell in love with the games music at 2.20 ... so harmonic

  • @JammyGit07 that part is haunting, really cool!

  • It's nice to be able to hear this beautiful tune here, much more clearly than in the game. Thank you for uploading.

  • Ah, I remember the first time I went to the docks, I was simply mesmerized by the music and how well it fit the scenery. It's so calming and whimsical, but exciting at the same time... Like you could just fall into that big moonlit sky like the Dwarves always say.

  • This is gorgeous! Thank you so much!

  • You know, I never really paid attention to the music at Lake Calenhad, which is strange for me, considering I ALWAYS notice the music, especially in video games, but I never saw Lake Calenhad to be all that important. I spent a total of about five minutes there, but when I went back there in a recent playthrough, I stopped to do something, and I had the music and I was mesmerized. Truly amazing soundtrack and game, really. A breakthrough for gaming.

  • I've only got the Xbox game so I can't extract it :/

  • Thx for posting.

  • 3 time playthoufgh... with a mage!!! i am gonna platimun this game and get ready for Dragon age 2!!!!!!!!

  • Sooooo soothing...

  • I love Dragon Age too!!!

  • This piece is SO relaxing! I mean, it doesn't sound much but that doesn't matter cuz it's still beautiful, sigh...I love Dragon Age :')

  • Thanks for putting this song up, too. It's my favorite song in the game. :o

  • love ambience of that area.

  • omg thx. i love this song soo freaken much .it soo relaxing. i bought the dragonage ost on itunes but this song wasnt on the album :( .. now i have it now so thxx XD

  • This track goes perfectly with one of the most relaxing and beautiful atmospheres in the game. Just standing next to the praying Templar on the rocks looking out at the lake and the silhouette of the Circle Tower while listening to this piece is just golden.

  • Gorgeous. :'( So...beautiful...

  • Is there a way to acquire the full quality version of this song? I used Orbit to download the FLV video embedded in this web page, then ripped the .AAC audio from it using another program, but the quality isn't astounding.

The ambiance in this song is fantastic, but it would be so much better if I could get a 320 kb/s MP3 or even FLAC audio if that's available somewhere. The audio bitrate in this video is around like 192-224 kb/s, which just doesn't cut it for my audiphile ears. D:

  • seeing that Templar praying in front of the lake together with this track from about 2:17 is just awesome... suits the atmosphere so incredibly well

This and the camp theme surely are the best songs in the game!

  • My favourite part is right after 2:20. A little sad :(

  • finally! thank you so much! I've been searching for this song.

  • An unbelievable song, in my opinion the best ambient track in the game, and potentially from any of the games I've ever played. Alas, it's a crime you probably won't even hear half of it in the game unless you screw around at Lake Calenhad.

Personally, my favorite is at about 1:30

  • The best piece! Thanks a lot for the upload :D

  • I'm glad I'm not the only nerd who loves this music. I always tried to do most of my party conversations there because it was my favorite setting.

  • You have my BIG thanks for uploading this. No doubt this is one of 2 best themes in this beautiful game.(The second one is Lothering music-dont you agree?) I think best part from this is 0:44 - to the end. XD

  • YOU MUST BE JOKING! So someone actually did it! I thank you so much for uploading this and Lothering music, but especially for this! You are a king on YouTube concerning Dragon Age TRUE and most beautiful music! Greetings from Czech Republic.

  • @nicholasssk Queen ;p

  • @Ilnezhara all Hail queen Ilnezhara i do not know if you have this or will even read this comment, but by any chance do you happen to have the Battle theme you hear while playing has a Cousland (human noble) and other battles as well, if so let me know i have been searching everywhere for it

  • @mydognamedrikki XD

I see you've already found "Attack on Denerim". That was the one you were looking for, wasn't it?

  • @Ilnezhara yes, did not know the name of it but yea, finally found it : D thanks for answerin as well :)

  • I don't understand why this wouldn't be on the CD. It's SO GOOD.

  • @iMatinee I know I bought the soundtrack just for this song and was very sorely disappointed.

  • Now how on earth do I get my hands on this track? I purchased the soundtrack, but this and many other tracks that I loved from the game weren't in it.

  • I love the sound effects w/ music from 2:47 onwards - loved that in the Brotherhood of the Wolf soundtrack. Anyone know what they are using or any other good soundtracks with these sorts of effects?

  • Excellent. I honestly think Dragon Age Origins should be nominated the best game of the year.

Let me teach you how to hack your stats (Attributes, Skills, Spells) so they're all maxed out to Level 4 since the very beginning: watch?v=zopos1B6Elc

  • @CheatForPC something tells me that red dead redemption is going to get game of the year 2010, dont forget, dragon age was 2009

  • Man, I love your DAO vid... one of the best I've seen on YouTube.

People want to get their stats (Attributes, Skills, Spells) all maxed out to Level 4 early, watch this vid: watch?v=zopos1B6Elc

  • Something about this song and the midnight atmosphere of Lake Calenhad that feels just right.

  • @tsubodzuka it's magic bro

  • Ah yes, very nice piece of music. It is my favourite song (with Dalish encampment it Brecilian forest) I went to Lake Calenhad very often to listen it. Thank you for posting it. I would like to extract the song from the game but don´t know how. Would you help me? Many thanks in advance

  • very powerfull track, especially from 2:20

  • THE BEST TRACK OF DAO

  • I've been searching for this track for ages. Thank you very much for uploading it.

  • This is probably one of the best songs on the game. Thanks for putting it up.

  • @tirevan Damn right, even though you hear a piece of it in DA2 on the wounded coast, its better in origins

  • soooo soothing... :)

  • Thx for the track. It is true beauty what this piece of art carries...

  • THX MAN!

very awesome part of the soundtrack
