  • By far the most versatile rough terrain & all terrain movement system ever designed. The six legs really makes it a cut above the rest by allowing two legs to hold objects when needed on less hostile terrain. And allows for easy load leveling of two seperate payloads for attaching them together. This is pure genius! This will allow space module connecting & drop off to be easy, fast, & on a moments notice! Thats not even mentioning the amazing benfits Athelete's toolbox brings to the job site.

  • thats it? a five legged spider, oh my god its no wonder we lost the space race.

  • @datzfast umm... pretty sure we won the space race. Also, the systems required to control this are ungodly complicated. If you were to read up on control systems and vehicle dynamics, you'd have some clue as to what you were criticizing...

  • thats funny, all the robotic machines seeme like the most unmodern things on earth, but they are the opposite^^

  • It sure isn't as much fun watching Constellation related videos now that the project is essentially dead. Oh well. I think we can look forward to even more and better robotic missions than we've ever seen before. Which is saying a lot.

  • Wow, you'd think with all our technology and 'reserch' funds it would take less than a Decade!

  • Ghost in the shell- tachcoma!

  • 1:20 every leg has a wheel... no shit...

  • huge again

  • Why is JSC (makers of the chariot rover) competing with JPL? Are the centers now run as fifedoms where the US taxpayer is paying for both competitors? JPL is clearly better at engineering the solution. JSC is in copycat mode where polished aluminum takes precedence over engineering.

  • this is very boring

  • willisthick

  • This thing is just so much better then the other concept it's almost like a tachicoma.

Also cool it can replace the lander's legs so it can just drive off after landing.

  • sweet

  • OMG!
