I have N5800 and its great phone ! I converted film with avi (640x280 at 30 fps ) to Mpeg - 4 in high quality (640x480 30 fps, 5000 kpbs) and the video quality was very very nice ! But the converted film to Mpeg - 4 have 2GB :(

Yes, now i have film in avi format and i watch it into SmartMovie 4,10 ... and my converter have 640x480 30 fps 6000kbps, but 5800 have problem play this quality and 5000 kbps work great ...

5000-6000kbps is for HD movies with 1280x720 resolution not 640x480.

try with 'FormatFactory 2.20' that thing had a '5800 profile' to convert movies, works great

i play convert my videos to .mp4 i found is the best way... really small files great quality...

if you see the default videos like the batman trailer inside the memory was in .mp4 and it was great...

This phone is so far one of the best ( IF NOT THE BEST #1 ) phones that i have watched movies on. Excelent quality of videos, no delay when playing, no spikes no anything. I would say this is my favority phone, right after nokia n900 witch is coming soon, if not allready shipped world wide. Excelent job from Nokia on these 2 phones.

look in the manual for proper video format....use Any Video Converter or similar prograsm to convert video you wish to have on the g1 to proper format. It's that easy....for any phone or mp3/video player.

What's the idear of filming the screen with another camera and uploading to youtube for recompression?

Neither framerate, imagesize, sound or compression has anything to do with what the camera provides.

Guess i'm just looking for a proper original recording from the camera so i can finally see if it's worth buying...

nothing just download any .avi,.divx type movie....then download softwares like "magic video converter" and convert these into .mp4,etc.(try varied qualities).....

Not true but the videos can only be of a maximum file size but as far as i know you can split the video and every maybe one hour it will stop and you play the next part of it, simple but i havn't tried so don't trust me lol
