Talk to 566 Rochester residents, and you'll find out that 565 will consider this video to be something less than full disclosure of what it means to live here.
OK, catchy. Yet, in a city that virtually invented photography, this video shows almost no photographs, let alone photos of people. If the video proclaims "Rochester ... where smart people live", why doesn't it show those smart people? I truly hope it's successful, but the video seems more like an exercise in CGI than a testament to the smart people who live here -- as well as those you are trying to entice. Thank you.
@davek57 The truth about Rochester NY still remains - regardless of lack of imagery - that Rochester is an amazing place. The statistics are true but what you should also know ( this is from a 30yr resident who owns his own film production company here) is that the ROC is a thriving business community. Further, we are set in one of the most gorgeous 4 season experiencing regions in the world where we also sit on top of some of the purest fresh water resources and attractions on earth.
@JoshPies All good points about the environmental resources; they're partly why I live here and not in New Mexico. But the video insists that Rochester is "where smart people live" -- and shows almost no people. Had the producers not been either in love with their CGI software or unable (unwilling?) to go shoot imagery of scientists and engineers at Rochester's universities and high-tech companies, the video would be far more effective.
566 viewers in the past 3 weeks.

Nice BS though.
