Top 4 reasons in my opinion. Improper equiptment, sleeping late, no truck & trailer, not keeping your equiptment running perfect. Get in, get the job done to the customers satisfaction & get to the next job. I have been doing this for 10 years and make $35 on site then to the next job. I live in the south so money is Great from April to October, then some leaf jobs. Commercial jobs pay $170 per 1.75 hour. I have always worked alone. Great Video. Thanks.
@1baiken Thinking of maybe doing lawn care myself, one day. How easy was it for you to get where are you (how long did it take)? Are you making enough to feed a family of four?
how much money can you make runing a lawn care busniness with a small crew of 4 or 6 guys? avarage income? anyone know? if ur not lazy and work hard...?llol
Nice Nice Video. I really loved your video. Youtube can be a great asset for you. If you need any help getting your video exposed, check out this site called tubeviews [dot net] It has really done wonders for me, I have built 3 Channels up with videos at top in position and this is my forth channel i'm going to working on.
Besides being cute, I think you're right on. The OBVIOUS answer is the number one reason people fail with a lawn business is...THEY'RE DUMB. Thank you MMKSGEH...you're brilliant. C'mon to you too. These are not only true reasons a person will fail, they're a helluva lot more interesting. Gee, I wonder why Dan is so famous in the industry. Could it be that he digs beneath the surface and gets some concrete information we business owners can all see and understand.
yes financial awareness plays a part in it but these are 4 big reasons (not all of them)that a person will fail. keep the "out of the box" tips coming man.
THE NUMBER 1 REASON A LAWN BUSINESS FAILS: The owner doesn't understand the numbers behind the business. IE:doesn't know where his money is going, doesn't understand the overhead involved, can't muster up enough profit.
Com'on man, any seasoned business owner knows that.

Insufficient working capital, and negative cash flow will also tend to cause one to fail at a lawn care business.
