  • i love Japan

  • the Asian pilots are one of the best pilot in the world , why ? I don't know but I think that are careful.

  • Informative, one of the best from cockpit take off

  • Very good work ! Nice video !

  • What does the captain do at 2:23?

  • san man 5 sen .. 35000ft

  • Nice video; very professionally piloted. And, I really like all of the "steam gauges", in this particular model. :-)

  • very professional. Just wondering-why they speak in english instead of japanese, just for practice or because all ATC is in english (even in domestic flightis in Japan?)

  • @porsche187 looks like this video is for international flight.

  • Perfect video!

  • ONE DAY.....I WILL SIT IN AN AIRPLANE COCKPIT...

  • Very nice. A big thank you to all pilots and crew out there who get their passengers and cargo to their destinations safely every day.

  • 5:30

All Nippon 691, wind 080 degrees at 4, cleared for takeoff runway 33.

  • i like this moment , prepare for everything before flight

  • wow..that was a really smooth take off... clearly the Japanese are good

  • cheq list complit.!

  • typical Japanese take off.

    always on time.!

    good job.

  • awesome....best job in the world!!

  • 5:34 I love the sign

  • very nice

  • Very nice.

  • Cool! Was that the Boeing 767? Smooth take off!

  • hoping to be a pilot someday.

  • Yesss !! The best job ever !

  • awesome pilots!!

  • whats that noise in the backround at 6:37? Is it the landing gear?

  • Yes, that would be the landing gear coming up. Standard proceedure is V1 Rotate, then confirmation of positive rate of climb followed by gear up.

  • AWESOME!!

  • Nice video !

but I think the video was taken in late 80's.

The reason why for this is

Currently the Tokyo International Airport or Haneda has not a runway 33.

(This can be found from at 5:24)

Current runways in use are 04/22 16R/34L and 16L/34R. Runway 33 was extended (or converted ?) into 16/34

  • i love the 767 series!

  • i really liked watching the video :D

  • hey HAO2Darts, i tell you this, This video (and the other of your cockpit videos) is the best cockpit view video in youtube! good angle, good video length, good sound. You really know how to please aviation fanboys like me.

so please, if you got more, please share with us! thankyou!

  • @Philivix

    Thank you very much.

Your comment made me very happy.

  • Depends what country (airline) you're applying with. I spoke to Air China pilot once, (back when I worked for the airlines) and I asked him how many hours they require to be a copilot on a 747. (he looked very young) he said 500. In US you have to have about 5,000 hrs for them to even look at you.

  • Interesting camera position on take off. Very nice. But what's with the white gloves? Are those airline issued or do these two guys shop at the same store? :)

  • i think thats the way of japanese, did you know, in japan a bus driver, taxi driver or a train/tram operator always wear that white gloves.

  • Really? I didn't know about that. That's nice, neat and professional.

  • Where can i find all nippon landing cockpit view????????

  • Why is a picture of TOP used at a takeoff?

The Back picture would usually be used.

  • Best job in the world!!

  • yeah, I know the bullet train captains wear gloves. Also my dad bought the cotton gloves from japan and he wears those when he drives

  • Dam Boeing 767 is my favorite aircraft :D

  • when they taxi they use this steering wheel thing at the side of cockpit, but when they takeoff, do they use the rudders to keep the plane in line?

  • The plane must be moving about 80 knots to have enough airflow for the rudder to move the nose of the airplane left or right. You are correct that while moving slowly on the ground, the pilot steers with the wheel at the side of the cockpit. As the plane accelerates down the runway for takeoff, at about 80 knots the pilot stops using the small steering wheel.

  • the rudder still works at slow speeds, its just way less effective, only something like 7 degrees, they use the tiller to steer on the ground, its what really lets the pilots turn sharp on the ground, along with braking one brake rather than both. Cheers!

  • the small steering wheel is linked to the nose wheel i presume. the woke is the ailerons and rudder pedals control the rudders. i always thought the yoke also controlled the nose wheel. i guess i was wrong.

  • EXCEPTIONAL VIDEO ! beautifully shot ! Thanks a lot.

  • I heard that pilot training is very expensive. Still, it's a fascinating job!

  • At what point did people lose respect for pilots? This is not an easy job and to even mention them in the same sentence as limo drivers is really uncalled for. The gloves are also worn to minimize the amount of sweat and oil getting on the surfaces and controls. Little details like that help a 70 million dollar aircraft last longer.

  • its official, being a pilot is a dream job

  • ohhh ok i see thanks

  • cool vid. wheres this airline from?

  • ANA from japan

  • This flight is in mfsx. I believe all pilots should where safety electric gloves not only to portect themselves and the plane also to the passengers.

  • xXwhygodwhyXx. What do you mean by 'safety electric gloves'? Why would they be nesessary?

  • Very professional nice to see.

  • very good video well done :)

  • Very nice camera shot and very smooth take off!!! :-)

  • gloves are a good idea. brings a sense of duty. nice vid.

  • They wear the gloves to give them a sense of duty, and to remind them that what they are doing is important. If you go to Japan you will see Taxi drivers and especially Train operators doing the same thing. It might look weird, but it works!!

  • Somewhat surprised to see that the Captain doesn't keep his hand on the steering tiller during the initial phase of the takeoff roll. I love the gloves, though. I think if I put those on in a US cockpit, my Captain would beat me senseless.

  • do you fly with the same captain and flight attendants??

  • the first officer looks bored/tired, and the captin looks annoyed.

  • I like the FO's hair style.

  • awesome!

  • A-WE-SO-ME VIDEO!!!

  • ana was a airline that was neutral, not good but not bad either.

  • great thanx

  • gloves keeps hand oils off the controls to keep them clean and operational so over time they wont get stuck

  • damn how oily are your hands?

  • at first it is micheal at 2nd micheal can't fly big passenger airlines

  • not all・・・OOck u

  • lolll

  • Yeah? Then what's that pavarotti movie?

Do you like fat guys with beards?

  • is ths from a flight deeck camera??

  • (Bacteroid)The FO used to have the decision(responsibility) to reject as well as captain a takeoff. I think now it is the captains and the captain's alone.

(HYPHYDUM408)From country to country there is different etiquette .This just the way it is,but i understand your point of view.

  • it is very common for pilots, wear white gloves, which represent professionalism (even cab drivers ,bus drivers do).

  • yeah but whats the point of wearing them? even a trainer can wear one and say hes a professional? Its not like they are wearing it because the switches are dirty or something...

  • Hey, did you ever think of a thing called hygene? Those guys aren't the only ones flying that plane over and over. Plus don't you thing that gloves may be part of the Airlines uniform? I don't see the problem of them wearing those nice gloves, if limo drivers do, why can't airline pilots who make way way way more of a salary than limo drivers.

  • wha'ts up with the gloves?

  • Are the white gloves for cockpit cleansiness?

  • Why is it that the co-pilot always pushes the throttles up with the captain when they take off?

  • safety reasons, for example when the pilot accidentially pull back on the throttles during takeoff

  • cool video

  • May I never fly on your plane

  • I'm pretty sure you aren't a realworld pilot for JAL. ;] An ADULT does not act like that.

  • Excellent Video, congratulations to the pilots of ANA!!!

  • very clear and nice video

  • very good thnx

  • One of the best videos i've seen. Very well done.

  • A very good video. hats off to the crew. They really look professional at what they do.

  • In Japan it is both a cultural and a hygiene thing with the gloves. Even taxi drivers and bus drivers will wear them.

  • very strange that pilots wear gloves.... hehe....

  • Well in Japan, there's a lot of concern about personal hygiene and microbial contamination. Whenever there's a widespread cold outbreak, it's common for people to wear face masks to filter out biological contaminants. I guess to most Westerners (americans in particular) wearing such things is considered silly and obsessive-compulsive. Also I think the white gloves symbolize professionalism... don't take my word for it though, look into it for yourself :)

  • Im American and I think those gloves look good, it makes them look rich :D

  • lol they may very well be making a good deal of money as 767 pilots, but here in the US limo drivers and doormen wear gloves, and we know they ain't rich x)

  • very good comment :]

  • thanks! :p

  • why do both pilots push the throttles foward? Can't one do it himself.

  • what no helmets

  • might be some dust in the cockpit lol

  • lol, but what do u think being a pilot is, a circus?

  • What´s with the gloves?

  • I dont know. but i remember when i went to Japan. Most of the transport workers wore gloves, its just something they like doing i guess

  • to get a firm grip on the controls. when ur a pilot your in a crammed room and if you get sweaty, u need good traction on the conrol stick. so the gloves help alot.

  • I've heard the gloves are actually a Japanese custom, apparently they believe that somehow, wearing the gloves brings you luck.

  • NUMBER ONE

  • Great video. Stupid comments.

  • do not be sad...

their are often stupid comments from stupid liars

  • Why do they wear gloves? Is this part of their uniform?

  • belo vidio!

parabens aos ótimos pilotos desse vídeo

  • im gettinon one 2morro :)

  • Okay... before you people say anymore bullshit about airbus and boeing, DO YOU ACTUALLY HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT!? By the way airbus owns the market at the moment. I like boeing too

  • boeings are cool unlike airbuses who use shit to build planes so they can have more vine for themselve those selfish frech

  • me too

  • I love flying. =)

  • Boeings are the best in Quality and Comfort IMO. Airbuses are just cheap.

  • yup

  • fantastic video

  • nice team work

  • they could lose the gloves

  • "starto leftoo" lol

  • Seeing as no one (certainly in my company) is allowed into the cockpit to clean the place, it gets very grubby .... and im talking about crew meals. Do you honestly think these chaps keep their gloves on whilst tucking into a nice juicy suchi sandwich ? No, I dont think so. Whilst eating, some scales from a sea serpent will get onto their fingers, and then transferred accross to various instruments. Every pilot know's that once you take a bite, ATC wants to speak to you!

  • Haha :) Nice sense of humour !

  • yep, just today i took a bite of my sandwich and of course after i bite here comes ATC i got a bunch of shit on the HSI.

  • I am an American who has flown to Tokyo and back on ANA more times than I even know, and those are perhaps some of the most pleasant flights I have ever been on. I recommend ANA very highly. Thank you for posting this, it is a treat!

  • The gloves are worn as the pilots dont want to catch any germs off the previous guys/gals ... nothing to do with professionalism !!! Cockpits can be really dirty!

  • Eh men, take it from me because I saw this first hand. The cab drivers in Japan that drove the same cab for years on end all wore gloves (white)......do you want to tell me they were afraid of their own germs?

You don't have to tell me about how dirty cockpits get......I spend most of my days in one!

  • ARE you sure? Because the "previous guys" you are talking put those gloves too! How can it be dirty?

  • most definitely a 767 no doubt about that. A 777 would have a full glass panel, but you can clearly see the analog gauges in this.

The gloves are to show neatness and prefessionalism. I did my high school in Tokyo and even the cab drivers wore white gloves and suits. Ain't that something?

  • Wow , that really is amazing, and something I respect alot. I havent been to Japan, but many friends tell me in most of the city areas it is so clean, and cleanliness and professionalism is held in high regard. I have the utmost respect for anyone who lives their life like that. :)

  • no its not. this is defenitly a 757/767 cockpit. 777 is fly-by-wire....a 767 isn't. look at the analog gauges...the 777 has none.

  • This is a 767 but fly-by-wire has not to do with analog gauges.

  • Thats a Boeing 777 Cockpit yo.

  • a very very nice video

    well done

  • such as your post

  • che cretino...

  • What is useless? You mean your comment? Oh yes, those are too useless.

  • Many Japanese use white handgloves as uniform: drivers, police, techncians...

  • Hey Francescolce, are you really an airline pilot?!

  • Yes it's full of modern monitors.

  • very professional flight deck

  • Why do they wear gloves?

  • As airline pilot I can't see the necessity of wearing hangloves but anyway..very nice video

  • By 50 they will get thrown out into a NAC freighter hauling parcels from Narita to Hong Kong all week in the co-pilot's seat.

  • swetty palms my friend, if you dont know that are you really a pilot? but i think in japan it

  • is something that you have with a uniform. it looks pretty cool to

  • Not only in Japan pilots must wear hangloves, but anyway, the video is one of my favourites and I am going to be an airline pilot too. I will study in Florida, Phoenix East Aviation, but I am a Virtual Airline pilot already. I am an American Airline pilot.

  • you might check out "embry riddle"

  • In japan pilots have to wear handgloves ^^

  • HAO2Darts

You are to be commended. Thank you.

  • hahahaa nice!!!! XD when i grow upp more,, im going to become a pilot im already studying already , and im going to live in Japan :)...

  • Awsome almost like being there.
