All my friends have iPhones and one of them got to play with the palm pre and all he could say was honestly it reminds him of the iPhone (I think he was referring to the physics engine). This is probably the highest praise one can get from an apple fanboy.

You know, I really like both phones. Truth be told, if the iPhone was on the Verizon network I would probably go with that over the Palm Pre. Both phones have great features and although the video recording option on the Pre does bother me, I am sure that will be a software update asap. Saving my $ on the Pre is great too!

Im honestly most worried about Verizons own little app store they are working on, I hated VCast but Pre apps look very promising PLEASE dont ruin that, Verizon!

im an iphone owner.. i have been since it came out in 2007 and got every new iphone that came up but but the palm pre does have a nice ui.. actually it has a great ui and graphics and its intergration between apps is amazing an very intuitive and the pricing is better.. but it still will never be better then iphone lol.. you can tell from this video how its slow and choppy, unstable, and is that keyboard made for a human? i played with it and the shit crashed all the time and it really did suck

At least with the Palm Pre, you don't have to pay more than a hundred dollars a month to use the Sprint services as that $100 gets you unlimited evreything. AT&T makes you pay extra if you have an Iphone

Palm's keyboard is terrible. not only are the keys way to small, they are also very clunky to press. Palm is really not impressing, multi media aspects on iphone are much much better, that comes from the dominating multi media device on the market for years, the ipod, which is absolutely amazing. a simple palm pre cant top that. for that fact, Iphone 3g s wins.

You people also complaint about applications, the Palm pre is not going to have 1,000 apps on release date so be patient remember iphone had none at its release date. Palm pre battery could be upgraded since its removable, so you do have the option to carry a spare unlike the iphone, notifications is also better on the pre when getting emails, miss calls..etc, Iphone just got MMS too. Also Pre is working with Adobe on Flash support, iphone on a 3rd Gen, and still hasn't push for flash.~Palm Pre~

My go is for Palm Pre, Multi-tasking is way more better then always have to hit the home button to close a application and go to another. Also the palm pre OS has more effects such as the the slide up bar, gesters. Also its not like the palm pre is not going to have video recording, it is coming in a OTA update, iphone took 3 years to come up with that since they finally upgraded to a 3 MP camera. Me personally the pre's camera is way more better, and sharper. Pre is 1st Gen!, iphone is 3rd gen.

So do I. This only further confirmed my belief in that. The iPhone SDK is much more robust, allowing for much better applications. I don't care if it comes with a built-in to-do list application. The palm Pre doesn't even have video recording, which surprised me.

I'm also hella surprised at how damn slow the Pre is compared to the iPhone. I'd rather have apps that actually open quickly than have them all running at once. Plus Push notifications is much better than multi-tasking for the battery.

You also need to know that it took 3 years for the iphone to become that fast, pre is still first gen and its faster than the iphone 3g and opening apps on the iphone 3g is also slow, and the original iphone is ten times slower at opening an app compared to the pre
