" Rahul Dev Burman, the music composer, must have been named ahead of all of them. This is the usual blunder, to appear giving explicit credit to Music Director. I think the original point was the western world owns the rights to the seven notes - "Do re mi fa so la Ti" and all desi composers are guilty of copying them and renaming them to "sa re ga ma pa dha ni sa" for convenience.

Lyrics-wise you are right, there is one song in sound of music that starts with the notes on the scale, ..but that is not anything new.
