how heavy is it? cus i just bought a neck pouch which is a bit heavy by itself cus of all the metal buttons in it. i like to feel free when im traveling, so without a constant weight on my neck which isnt comfortable. or am i just being spoiled now? :P
@bigbangAT Its 6.8oz (190g). The only thing that might be too uncomfortable is if it was all filled up and the thin paracord neck strap were to dig in the neck, I guess. But if worn cross body it might be all good on your shoulder. Yes, we're all spoiled, but still want to make prudent choices and be comfortable! ;)
I wonder how many of those pockets can really be used if a few are filled up. Looks like there is little pleating to provide some depth... any thoughts, Roz?
Do you think this wallet is pushin it for a front pocket carry im thinking of replacing my maxped urban for its lack of organization i was really looking at the pug wallet but its disconinued, such a bummer great vid i think its the only one on the traveler deluxe 5**
Very informative as usual Roz......now I'm getting one. Oh yes, and thanks to your reviews I should be receiving my micro tomorrow morning {^_^}. Keep these reviews flowing. {~_~}
I bought two of those for my husband and myself but I found it too bulky big on me... I'm still wanting just the traveler though. One day I'll remember to buy it...
@katabunga Ah, yes, it can bulk up with items in it. But can also be used as a drop-in in a bag as well. I imagine the regular Traveler lays sleek and flat. Something to definitely consider if in the market for one. Thx Kat!
I bought one like this and I cut it in half, obtaining a sort of pocket organiser and the other half, a case for a set of screw drivers. As traveller pocket, it was a disappointment, it is big but I couldn't fit some money in it in an acceptable manner. There are too many and too small compartments. I still feel sorry for the money I paid for it, including postage US-Romania and some VAT paid at customs office.
@ALEXBAB1 Argh! What a bummer, Alex. Sounds like you salvaged it to work for you though. It was a different brand or type of gear..? I hope my vids can help folks make good decisions to help avoid Buyer's Remorse.
@RoscoeBa Hi Roz! It is Maxpedition DeLuxe Traveller, black. When I realized that I have to put my wallet inside the Traveller, I had to rethink the entire problem. Because the Traveller hasn't a wallet like money compartment, it is almost useless to me. My mistake was to buy it without paying enough attention to its description on Youtube or on Maxpedition website. But now I have a "tactical" screwdriver case... and an organizer inside my Operator Tactical Attache, which I use thanks to you.
That's a little bulky for under a shirt. I've been using a neck wallet on travels for years and all I put in it is the REALLY important stuff - emergency cash, ID, credit card critical single keys and addresses and notes. It's too much of a pain, plus conspicuous, to be reaching under your shirt frequently. I pretty much duplicate that carry under the insert of my shoe just to spread the risk around. This Maxpedition pouch seems more of a 'under the jacket' pouch.
Dang! I don't think I have enough stuff to fill that entire pouch up. Maxpedition sure knows how to use the space wisely. Thanks for another great review. Keep up the outstanding work.
@edgedweapon88 Thx so mich, Keelen. You know how it is when you travel, you start accumulating little pieces of paper and maps and receipts and junk. lol It'd fill up in no time. :)
I enjoy your reviews on Maxpedition products. You are a great source to check on before I decide to purchase something from them. The Traveler Deluxe Neck Pouch looks like a handy item, although I still wouldn't let my guard down, as far as security. Imagine, if the Barcelona pickpockets cut your friend's son's iPhone and wallet out of his pants pocket without waking him, that cord(s) would be a snap. Still a great organizer though.
@1jump2many Yep, I hear ya. I had thought of that too. If one were wearing both the neck lanyard as well as the waist cord, under a jacket or shirt, might be a bit harder to swipe covertly. Then again, the robber could take the non-covert route too... :-0 lol Thx for your comments, Jump!

@peterahjorter It is pretty involved. I like the wallet and zipper pouches inside for change and fall-around stuff. Great advice though, Peter.
