This entire tour was an abomination, with the possible exception of the tunes that Cale played viola on. I would rather have seen Doug Yule's Velvets in 1973.
@fonspark1 I don't know about that. I can remember Cale giving an interview for a UK magazine (cant remember which one) after this tour ended suggesting that the reason why the band chose to play so many of the VU songs up-tempo was simply to enable them to finish the concerts quicker so as to not spend any longer in each other's company than necessary. He said it in a lighthearted way, but he meant it.
