  • lol this makes me remember how i love waiting 45 minutes in line for a 45 second ride

  • It's TERRIBLE

  • I went on that this week I went to valley fair I went on that the wild and high roller power tower

  • my 2'd fav ride

  • oops sry got the wrong info

  • thats not the original knotts corkscrew...the old knotts version didnt have a loop just 2 corkscrews.

  • @disneysweeper well its like this now

  • whos wacthed final destination 3?

  • i loved this coaster.

  • This ride was awesome, IT just messed up my back thought, i had lots of fun

  • i rode this ride and it was so fun

  • look to the side while in a roller coaster, that looks much more awesome :P

  • ouch...

  • i was waitting for 5 minuts and that al that ride is bad becase t gives u a head ache

  • WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Cuz tht 1 minute ride was worth the hour wait....

  • @hhuff9 Hour ride?? When i went there(a few weeks ago) there was no line at all and if there was it was about a 2 minute wait.

  • so smooth!cuz its new!!

  • @RcarlosR22 its not new, it was made in 1976

  • @RcarlosR22 ARE U KIDDING HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!HAHAHAHA!!!!!!! SMOOTH?!!!!!! NEW?!!!!

the coaster was made 34 years ago and is the lesast smoothest rollercoaster i've ever been on

advice:DON'T GO ON OR YOU'LL GET A HEADACHE

  • @TheBananaman380 i rememeber it being a smooth ride. but that was 3 years ago. is it really not smooth now?

  • @TheBananaman380 its not smooth on any level and in my opinion is the least smooth rollercoaster ive ever been on but it is fun and the line is 5 mins long

  • @TheBananaman380 LOL i looks smooth!!

  • It hurts your fucking head when ur small ouch

  • @Topaz997235 omg agreed. so does vortext at KI

  • I've never been on an upside down rollercoaster and I've been told this ride is the best for a first timer. Any opinions?

  • @kclrox11 it was also my first upside down ride and if you keep your eyes closed going upside down you dont feel it :) hope it helped

  • @kclrox11 NOOOOOOOOO! dont go on it if you havent been on an upside down ride before. This thing is painful as hell and will give you a bad first impression. I say you should go on raptor first cause its more enjoyable and isnt scary at all

  • @LoboFan1000 after about the third time upside down on that thing makes me want to puke

  • I wouldn't want to be in the camera's position....

  • That looked fun

  • How could you not screem??

  • @XxCharistaxX test run...no one is on it....

  • @XxCharistaxX even if people were on it they wouldnt scream :P

  • @xavoskill nah, this ride gets some serious whiplash...I learned the hard way

  • What type of seats r there

  • @volleyballplayererin they're plastic coated with what feels like wood under it

  • Hated the seats. & it's too short.

  • Reminds me of Dragon Fire at Canadas Wonderland....

  • Fun but short

  • i liked the ride but the seats were so damn uncomfortable

  • @XxCanada27xX It's true!

  • this ride was so boring. haha

  • or as others would say i got an adrenaline rush......i still feel light headed and feel like smiling

  • first roller coaster i ever rode in my life. :D i feel high

  • If you all thought it was so boring, why'd you ride it?

  • @eliz0991 When you first go to an amusment park you tend to ride all the rides and most of the time the rides you rides might be broing after.?

    duhh?

  • @everybodyhatesjessi I guess so but normally I look at a ride first and see if it looks fun or not. I don't ride all the rides and then decide if it was boring or fun.

  • skip to 44 if you dont want to wait for hill

  • I didn't drop it. Idiots

  • every time i ride that ride when we start going up the first hill i am always SO scared that we are going to get stuck! it scares the S*** out of me !!!!!!!!!!

  • So Boring

  • @GamerOnly62 This coaster is 35 years old...It was the first to have 3 inversions. And the first where park patrons could walk under the actual coaster. It pushed being upside down to a new level.

  • wow...no screaming

  • This ride is so boring in real life. I was texting the entire time on it.

  • @n00binator2014 no u were not u would have dropped ur fone u faggot shut the fuck up

  • @n00binator2014 I dont believe that because your phone would fly out of your hand so your a liar!

  • the corkscrew coaster and the hyper coaster are so much alike

  • Video comment: don't shoot the video when the coaster is going to be looking into the sun! Pick a better time of day and get a camera with better iris control. Poor quality for a professional video.

  • @saxomojarf This was high tech for the day this video is at least 25 years old

  • wasnt this ride at knotts in like 1975

  • Comment removed

  • @omgzJENNA no they were to seperate coasters the one at knotts ony hade corkscrews no loop and only two inversions

  • When i was on this rollercoaster it reminded me soo much of final destination 3 because its like the exact same rollercoaster except blue XD

  • i went on tht ride im 11 and hav my ears pierced owwwww it hurt rlly bad

  • Corkscrew - 1975

    Speed - 48 Mph

    Height - 87 Feet

  • Y is no one at the ammusment park?? is it closed??

  • I SO miss the Corkscrew that was once at the Myrtle Beach Pavilion in Myrtle Beach, SC. I know the Pavilion's gone, but back when it was going, they should've kept the Corkscrew. Atleast IT went upside down, that crappy Hurricane did Not! I still wish they'd re-open Freestyle Music Park. I miss riding the Time Machine / Led Zeppelin.

  • corkscrew is not there any more 13 is there now

  • @MrJORDANAKAJJ ... rethink that sentence. The corkscrew you're thinking of is in Alton Towers.

  • @Dumblol1 i no i forgot i just fort this was at alton towers thats all

  • this is the shortest ride at the park

  • this thing hurt my spine lol

  • If Yankee Stadium(the orignal) is the Place that Ruth Built, would it be safe to say that Cedar Point was the place that "Ron" Built?

Ron Toomer's company, Arrow Dynamics, installed the Cork Screw and Gemini(1970s) and Magnum(1980s), all of which were state of the art for that period.

  • How do u make a recreation of this rollercoaster tycoon 3?????

  • I LOVE THIS RIDE. I <3 GOING OVER THE SIDEWALK, AND LOOKING AT THE PPL LOOK UP AT YOU HAHA (:

  • worst ride at ceder point!!!!!

  • @raptorgold1212 no jr gemini

  • @raptorgold1212 THis ride was the shit back then (: HAHA! The fricken Mean Streak is the worst ride there! Shakes so fucking BAD! WORST RIDE BUILT = MEAN STREAK :)

  • lol it messed up my back

  • Is the the Corkscrew from Final destination movie ?

    No thats a red one

  • i rode this ride like 8 times in a row and it was awesome!

  • I love this footage of the ride! Thank you fortlansing

  • this ride is only popular because it's in cedar point, making it a landmark.

  • Not great but 1000x times better than Mean Streak.

  • This ride is boring, but I love it!

  • shits WEAKKK!!

  • My wife and I met in July of 1976. One of our first dates was to Cedar Point. We rode the Corkscrew, discovering later that both of us were too proud to tell each other that we didn't care for coasters!

  • the best coaster in the park

  • Was there anyone on the ride at the time the video was filmed - because there were no screams !

  • i wish cedar point didnt cost a years worth of savings to go to with the family. staying the night, eating, getting in to the park all for one night with my family was almost $400 and thats even in the cheaper hotels with ticket discounts

  • @MrRanger1987 Sheesh it costed that much? Well, I guess so if you live far away from Cedar Point, I live in Cleveland so it's only a 1hr drive, and my sis works at Cleveland Clinic so our tickets are $22.

  • @xXxOchibaxXx i live in findlay, ohio its only about 2 hours away from where you live then

  • a whopping 37.3 MPH!!! OMFG IT'S INSANE

  • @Yetislayer1440 do i sense sarcasim

  • @Emerson7947 well sir/ma'am if you don't....i can't explain what is wrong with you..

  • This is probably the most disapointing coaster there. I know it's old, but as soon as you actually start having fun on the ride it ends.

  • when a coaster is going up a hill and is making all those noises i like to make up songs to go with the beat d:

  • omg.. that ride is so boring and not scary. this is called corkscrew. but colosuss at thorpe park has 5 corkcrews and that aint called corkscrew :/ xx

  • I dont like rollercoasters but this looks like a good place to start

  • this is a really old video! the power tower isn't even there yet!

  • anyone whos scared to go upside down dont be you cant even fell being upside down u just see track looping and its over with

  • love this ride

  • magic moutian in Valencia is a great theme park. .... but do you lay down on this?

  • it feels like im going into the light on the lift cuz of the sun...

  • LOL!!!! i wish i was on that!!! :D

  • this wuz my first roller coaster...i wuz six and i almost fell out b/c my shoulders wer so small i was slippin out of thed harness....but im fine...LOL:D

  • this was my first loop coaster ever and i was 8, this thing is badass!!

  • i recomend if u go to cedar point go on the dragster millenium and the maverick those r the best 3 rides there.

  • the coaster is so jerky i recommened if you go to cedar point the Mantis or Raptor best upside down rides I've been on. The corkscrew gave my sister almost whiplash. its so old now.

  • @narutokid526 Did you also get a headache?

  • @MrWrawroacx yea

  • @narutokid526

what about the maverick? That ride goes upside down a bunch of times, its brand new, and has a 95 degree drop!1!@!@

  • @mikesta99 the maverick is fun it shoots u up in stead of going slow i do recommend it but its not my favorite i've only been on it a couple times

  • I really like the cork screw

It's nice but other roller coasters in Cedar Point are better

  • Comment removed

  • that sucked

  • Last coaster I was on........

  • @P0zquick look at the title! -.-

  • my first upside down rollercoaster :')

  • Possibly the gayest ride ever....

  • @twizlrsizlr

now it is, but it was the first ever ride with a corkscrew, so give it some credit

  • this ride is a starter ride for younger people but i know what u mean a bit boring

  • Thing is it's too simple! It's just like one of those 80s Demon roller coasters! the ones that go up, drop 60ft, do 2 loops, go onto a break run, turn around, then drop again, then do 2 corkscrews, then as small curve, then the break run back to the station! Although back then people thought "WOW!! THAT F**KING AMAZING!". The way they go about it it's as if a roller coaster like Sheikra or Griffon opened.

  • Yeah it was pretty lame...its a coaster for beginners.

  • it was my favorite ride

  • so short

  • It may be boring now, but back in 76' it was the stuff!

  • @HWolfeIII its even more boring now its not there

  • @HWolfeIII It ain't boring now... :D

  • how boring

  • that lookd like a baby ride :P

  • my first real coaster

  • This was my first too :) That was many many moons ago LoL!!

  • Are there, no people on the ride? There's no screams.

  • it is the first corckscwer coaster

  • The Corkscrew was built in 1978 and was the first coaster to feature 3 inversions. Another Cedar Point record in the books

  • Actually it was built in 1976.

  • @DaExiled1 shut up there are some rides that have 10 inversions dumbass

  • Comment removed

  • @FunAndOnly okay dumbass, listen. it was the FIRST TO HAVE 3! It does not have the most, it was the first to have 3!

  • @incrediblecheer2010 it only has 2 corkscrews dumbass

  • @FunAndOnly No bitch, it has 3. From the website: "It's yet another ride at Cedar Point that holds its place in coaster history. The Corkscrew was the first coaster to feature three inversions. It was also the first coaster to span a midway.

Guests can stand right underneath the ride's corkscrew element and see riders fly right above their heads!"

  • @incrediblecheer2010 wat r u talking about it doesnt have 3 corkscrews it has 2

  • @FunAndOnly Dude what the fuck is wrong with your mind? check the fucking website for proof!

  • @incrediblecheer2010 it only has 2 cokscrews

  • @FunAndOnly it has two corkscrews and one vertical loop adding up to three inversions (oh i forgot retards like you cant do simple math)

  • @AsItNeverSeems i know, but u all keep saying it has 3 cokscrews and im like wtf it only has 2 r u all fucking retarded a loop is not a corkscrew

  • @FunAndOnly no one ever said it was three corkscrews. we said three inversions

  • @AsItNeverSeems no u sed 3 coksrews

  • @FunAndOnly no i actually didn't

  • @FunAndOnly yea but it has one loop shithead

  • @AsItNeverSeems yeh but he was saying it had 3 cokscrews

  • @FunAndOnly yea but it was the first with more then two so STFU

  • @AsItNeverSeems it only has 2 corkscrews

  • @DaExiled1 that bull the Demon at Six Flags Great America was built in 1976 and has four

  • @AsItNeverSeems Corkscrew may have been finished before the demon?

  • @incrediblecheer2010 yea sorry i looked it up and you are right. Demon was originally called turn of the century and featured two hills and two corkscrews. then in 1980 it was repainted and rethemed, the two hills were replaced with two vertical loops. so at the time when this was built demon only had two. my mistake

  • @AsItNeverSeems Thats okay your not the one botherin me, lol. FunAndFuckingOnly is.

  • @incrediblecheer2010 that was immature

  • @incrediblecheer2010 yea im in an arguement with him on another video over who's better, Intamin or Togo. I mean its not the closest race

  • @DaExiled1 1976

  • @DaExiled1 1976. Gemini was built in 1978

  • @DaExiled1

Pretty sure CorkScrew was built in 1976.

  • i rode this like 7+ times in one day. lol

  • are the lines short for all of these "old" rides?

  • my first ride was the Big Bad Wolf 2 days before it closed down

  • y did it close

  • Smooth

  • This gives you a headache, but it's good if you've never even been on a coaster before. Sometimes people's wallets fall out over one of the corkscrews.

  • this ride is so small

  • This would look fun to somebody who hasnt riden the Great American Scream Machine.... Buuuuuuuuuut I have, so this coaster looks gay as shit lol.

  • @DialgaMarine3 yea the shockwave that used to be at Six Flags Great America is better

  • That seems to be a hybrid of (Defunct) Turn of the Century and Deamon at GAM!

  • @davidrayahin demon and turn of the century are one ride. it was modified (adding two loops) in 1980

  • its so fun but it feels like 30 sec. long

  • exactly lol it feels so short but its a great ride and the Que goes fast too :D first roller coaster i ever went on :D

  • Comment removed

  • Not exactly, you do go upside down 3 times, the first part is just an exact loop, the last 2 times u go upside down u do a corkscrew(seen near the end) its really fun ;)

  • really i thought it was shrt for 45 mins=[but i love the dubble barrels rolls with hands up

  • they're called corkscrews
