This just brings tears to my eyes. I was a 'groupie' of his whenever and wherever he played in Vancouver in the 80's. Was also fortunate to see him here in Kelowna several years ago, met and spoke to him. A complete gentleman and a fabulously underrated musician. A Canadian treasure IMHO.
Alfie is awesome. He is famous enough in Canada. And he seems to be gaining momentum with the younger crowd. This is a mark of lasting, authentic talent. Keep it up Alfie, your fans love you.

I saw him in Winnipeg in April playing in a bar and he was absolutely fantastic. It amazes me how little exposure he has received in his career. I guess that's what you get for being Canadian and not being greedy !!!
