Africa is rising again, and shall once more occupy its rightful position in this world...no matter what the imbecilic whites do to prevents it...soon the white controlled countries shall fall and reap the injustice they did against the Africans...
Afrikan people need to turn the TV off, and stop watching these stupid movies that Hollywood is throwing at you. The images that we are getting and the ones we are letting our children watch[shame on us] are always negative. The sisters are sleeping around or they have a very foul mouth. The brothers are always angry, killing or getting killed, or he plays a homosexual role. When are we gonna become conscious? Turn the TV off and begin to think!
@fthcm101...I DISCONNECTED MY CABLE ALL TOGETHER. THE ONLY THING ON TV I GOT TO GET RID, THATS OF INTEREST TO ME IS FOOTBALL...its in the making, believe it or not.
Thank you for making this film-- I always could not understand why black folks would support Tyler Perry -- a cross dresser that also degrades Black women -- some black folks call homosexuality an abomination -- I do not -- but they will accept this closet case and laugh at his silly degrading movies --
Black men and black women really need to see how we have been, in layman's, tricked. And how the trick has effected us individually and what we need to do to align ourselves with our true self before we align ourselves with the opposite sex in efforts of a bond, union or marriage.
The spell that we are under is deeper than the relationship between black men and women. Its with ourselves and this European devil that we have following us wherever we go called EGO (false self). We hate who we are. Quit brushing out the naps so your hair can be strait and stop getting perms and blond highlights then we could start dealing with the vibrations between us. We were a people who did not care about the way we looked. Why clean the outside of the cup when the inside hold the water
what we need to do is sit down and really start dealing with this. I just seen on yahoo yesterday that 1 out of 12 black men and women today are getting married to their white counterpart. The fact that this was news on the front page of yahoo implicates how profound on a conscious level this is and what this means for the so called black race. The white women has been the model, super model, barbie, cinderella, snow white and so forth and she should because they are in control of this ship
And the reason why she will always strike back is because the agenda that the slave owners had, worked. In order to capture a whole nation of people and have them submissive and under you control you must have a process of eliminating the affection between the HEAD of a family and the next person in line to FOLLOW. There were a lot of unimaginable things that happened during those times that would strip a women of her continuous compassion for her man. This needed happen
The fact that you have black women responding with, "Be fathers! Why do the cross-dressing black males always make the black woman look ignorant, ugly, foolish, or whorish." and "Yeah, and you all are now jumping on the WHITE MAN'S so called "men's rights movement" instead of sticking up for your sisters.", shows that this is very real. There are even HIGHLY EDUCATED women on here stating this but the average no it all chic is always going to strike back with something to say.
Realest shit I ever heard..but to blame black women or even blaming black people at all honestly for our 'society' being the way it is today without adding certain "contributions" made by other parties would be irresponsible
1. Black men raising their sons will keep them out of juvenile detention and jail, safeguard them from the rape so many experience, and protect their heterosexual self-image. What's on TV does not create gays, nor do strong women -- but repeated sexual violation by other males will destroy a young man's sense of himself. Want manly men? Be fathers! Why do the cross-dressing black males always make the black woman look ignorant, ugly, foolish, or whorish. Kill black men and women w/ 1 stone
@themessengeromari I apologize on behalf of all black women that raised little boy and girls to accept and support this behavior_ we too will do better.
I agree with most of this documentary excerpt; however, I disagree with the link between Black women and the Feminist Movement ("White Women's Movement"). Historically, Black women have always worked, so there wasn't a real need to fight for equal pay or equal jobs from a gender standpoint--only a racial one. I disagree with any ideology that suggests we (as Black women) stopped fighting for racial equality to concentrate on gender equality. As a side note: I think Dr. Welsing is brilliant.
@mediasire .. Firstly, Black women are "minorities" because of their racial identity. Secondly, racism in this country both past and present is well understood, but to say (as the gentleman in this video excerpt stated) that Black women put the fight for civil rights (for Black people) on the back burner to devote attention to women's rights is incorrect. Your comment was not necessary and it doesn't point out errors in my original comment.
1:07 I HAVE BEEN SAYING THAT FOR YEARS!!! That is why I hate these black dudes who lash out at black womyn for us "wanting them to take care of us" when THEY WERE NEVER IN THE HOME TO BEGIN WITH DUE TO SLAVERY AND THE WHITE MAN'S ACTIONS!
@HappyHooker83 I feel you sister but thats a double edged sword. If you want a man to take care of you you have to take care of that man. For ex you want some new shoes but ur mans hours at work have been cut and his boss is constantly on his ass all day. When that man comes home all he wants is to be loved and appreciated. But alot of black women dont do that. They will nag him about being broke and how he aint shit and they should have listened to their mama about him. Lets stop the madness!
@HappyHooker83 Actually there were black men in the home during the civil rights movement. Back then there was actually peace and unity amongst black people and we were fighting against white supremacy. But once black women decided to hop on board the white woman's feminist movement it was all down hill from there...
@Mr707BAYAREA Yeah, and you all are now jumping on the WHITE MAN'S so called "men's rights movement" instead of sticking up for your sisters. All I am saying is stop the finger pointing on both sides, black men and womyn and respect and love each other instead of bringing all this division. Sheesh.
So Black remains Man, and we are supposed to just bat our eyelashes and go along with it because duh the fight against racism is really a fight about Black men getting the rights and power that White men have, and not really about freedom for Black people. Sorry, but, if Black freedom means Black patriarchy then we can wander in the valley for 40 years and then some.
I have felt very much like a lone voice in the woods regarding the efeminization of our men and their portrayal in the media, yes with dresses on and the mocking of African womanhood since I notice it in the 80s! Finally, to hear our scholars and well informed, conscious people say it!!! It's like our men don't feel they can succeed unless they mock us. We, who keep them whole!!!

@freetobemenoapology
That's not the point the Feminist Movement did have a strong stand because of
Black women. look up the Feminist liberation movement and you will see the Government classifying Black Women as Minorities.( which was a lie)
The Real problem is RACISM! That's the point!
