buy a mercury or a mariner they are much better than johnson or evinrudes because the hp on johnsons or evinrud is rated at the top so the hp has to go through the gears which decreases the hp

whereas mercurys mariners yamahas hondas so on are rated at the prop because it has allready gone through the gears and therefor an more accurate reading therefor faster

and anyway a new johnson or evinrude 15hp would actualy be 12hp at the prop whereas you outboard is old so will be only about 10hp

Dude, you don't always need the best. I think this engine is a great working engine obviously, and everyone

doesnt have unlimited money aswell! This is most likely in Europe where everything is more expensive aswell, k bro?

@jordyboy0129 dude you have no idea what your talking about. After 1972 all johnson and evinrudes were rated at the prop shaft, therefore they are equal in power. And mariners are mercury's there is no difference
