@doctorHOUSE i see what youre saying. inception, black swan, and the social network were more movies for this generation. kings speech was very non-cerebral and ran more like a play or a classic drama. not saying thats a bad thing, and not saying that kings speech wasnt a great film and didnt deserve to be nominated (but inception was better XD), but its all about whos judging the oscars. if the oscars were judged by film fans 16-30 then chances are kings speech would not have won.

@doctorHOUSE - I agree; and it's Darren Aronofsky by the way. You should check out "Requiem For a Dream", but I have to warn you it's extremely dark and morbidly disturbing. Yet like all of Aronofsky's films, it's true on the human condition and possesses some of the best performances you'll see from Ellen Burstyn, Jennifer Connelly, Jered Leto and Marlon Wayans.
