I own a dog, and have owned a dog since I was a teenager. None of my animals ever bit anybody. I don't consider myself a cyber thug in the sense that I tend to respond on the level to which I am addressed. And as for leading a sheltered life...you have no idea who I am.
News desk. What? A girl got bit by a dog, don't care. She's cute, huh? Okay, I'm listening. Please tell me the dog was a Pit Bull. It was? Awesome! No, any other breed of dog that bites a person isn't considered newsworthy, ma'am. We'll send a crew right over. Hmmm, now for a catchy sensationalist title... I know! "Your WORST Nightmare."
Did you read about the NON-PIT BULL dog in Middleton that has bitten several people and killed a small dog, recently? It was NOT A PIT BULL, BUT IT WAS IN THE PAPER THREE TIMES. DUH?
Sorry, see above post to taichiangel. The answer is pretty simple - socialize your dog or keep it on its leash. If a dog attacked me or my dog at a park I would kill it right before the owner's eyes - no problem at all.
madisonhack, I agree, about socialization and leashing & responsible ownership. Was this unfortunate? Yes. Should the dog owner be held accountable? Yes. Was this anyone's "WORST NIGHTMARE!?" You have a pretty sheltered life if getting your little butt bitten by a dog is your worst nightmare. Dog bites happen every day, 90% don't make the news unless it's a "Pit Bull" type dog. No one's impressed with your cyber-thug comments either.
Of course, moron. They want to FIND the dog and owners so they can get the dog's vaccination history, as well as prosecute the irresponsible fucks who let this dog off-leash. What don't you get here?
Sorry, not true. There was an attack in Middleton, WI about two weeks ago by an English Mastiff which killed another smaller dog at an off-leash dog park. That dog also had a history of biting people. All of that was on the news here, including television. That animal is being put down.
Its been awhile. How you been? Here in TX, if the dog is not a pit bull, then it probably won't be on the news. Sad, but true. I'm not saying all pit bulls are as well trained as mine are, but it is unfortunate that owners are not held responsible for their pet's actions. The dog (regardless of breed) is the one who suffers. Dogs are pack animals & if the leader of the pack (the owner) is not in control, chaos can and sometimes does erupt.
i own two pitbulls and mine have never attacked anyone either but i always keep my dogs on a leash when we go for a walk

Irresponsible fucks to have the dog off the leash.

would this dog attack have made this news if they thought it was another type/breed of dog? What a bunch of crap!!!

I get that, but you've missed my point. Had the dog been identified as another breed besides pit bull, it would not have made the news.
taichiangel 3 years ago
It made the news because they are LOOKING FOR THE DOG AND THE OWNERS. WHAT PART OF THAT DON'T YOU GET?
madisonhack 3 years ago
YOU are not getting it!!! many people have been bitten by dogs, yet b/c the dog wasn't identified as a pit bull, it's not on the news!!
