  • Whatever

  • I want Santa's voice. If God has a voice, I guarantee you he sounds like this.

  • I've watched this since I was a little boy and still cry when Frosty melts.

  • I'm in my 40s and I still get all teary when Frosty melts. Today's Christmas shows don't have a patch on Frosty.

  • Has anyone notices the many animation errors in this scene? To start, at 1:09, you will notice Karen's reflection never moves, and to top that off, in that scene, we see Frosty's hat and pipe on the ground. However, at 2:11, the hat is gone and the button nose, which wasn't there before, is now in the hats place. Finally, at 2:49, we Frosty's broom fly out of the greenhouse, even though he never had it when he went in. WTF?? haha still a classic though.

  • It's a good thing my 3-year-old can't follow a story-line...

  • why are there only 4 reindeer

  • Frosty looks like he's tripping out @ 4:22.

  • Good stuff, makes that lame Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer its bitch

  • this movie was great! i could watch it a hundred times/well not really

  • I just looked up "zillion" on Wikipedia; apparently it's just a major exaggeration for an inestimably huge number. Even for a cartoon character, I doubt it's possible to write the same sentence THAT MANY TIMES.

  • Whats a dick? Crcodilius you're funny the heck!

  • Frosty is the T-1000.

  • My second favorite christmas special ever!! First being Grinch(animated)!!

  • I love this <3 Frosty the snowman and Sata do exist! Shut up

  • Technically, the bad guy was right......it was his hat.

  • If I were Frosty I would nail Professor Hinkle right in the grapefruits!

  • and then Jesus came and forgave them all for their foolishness

  • @Lundquvist You're fucking disgusting!

  • @darksilverdreams dont be mad at me be mad at yourself

  • Wonderful. Gives hope for the season.

  • It was the magician's hat to begin with!!!

  • "If you so much as lay a finger on the brim, I'll never bring you another Christmas present as you as you live".

Doesn't that remind you of when you were little and your parents told you that Santa wouldn't give you any presents unless you behaved?

  • I like how this movie teaches a lesson about adults having a tendency to be pretentious, especially towards kids, as well as greedy and unaware of consequences of their actions on children. One of my favorite Christmas movies ever :)

  • That guy sure is obsessed with that hat. Why doesn't he just get another one?

  • cuz its magic you dick.

  • @MrCherryCola Because magic hats are pretty hard to come by.

  • Take a short cut. "I'm very sorry for what I did to Frosty one hundred zillion times." DONE.

That said, it was nice to see that Hinkle was redeemable.

  • okay.....so why in the world did santa leave a little girl on top of her house when its cold and slick out. bad santa!

  • @the1nonly2010 That's a flaw I often wondered about myself.

It may have just been to make it easy for the people animating the show. (Making the transition from Karen waving goodbye, to Santa and Frosty flying away.)

Granted Santa probably shouldn't have left a little girl on top of her roof. But it probably gave the people who drew the animation a break.

  • @the1nonly2010 I know. What does he expect her to do, slide down the chimney like him? He could've at least let her off at the front door.

  • This Christmas special made me hate California as a kid because it never snows here! Lol!

  • I can't believe I still get upset when he melts):

  • I don't care what anyone says, Professor Hinkle is not really that evil compared to other cartoon villains.

  • @SilverStonefish I agree. But its cool how Santa Claus cops an attitude lol

  • WAAAAAIT a minute! Santa just leaves the girl on a roof!?

  • @MakwaAment There's something stuck up in the chimney and I don't know what it is...

  • that always made me wonder too!!!! I'm like, how is she supposed to get down?

  • w2here is part 2 hell

  • BUSY BUSY BUSY! lol I love that guy(: Not that he's mean, but the way he talks.

  • Your continuity is all messed up

  • TV-PG-DSV

  • am I evil for laughing when the snowman walks in to the greenhouse? :D

  • As a kid this scene always seemed especially cruel and sad. That magician is a real bastard :(

  • 1:30-1:51 The part that always makes me cry.

  • @OneOcean1021 Same here!

  • except for pixar, they just don't make 'em like this anymore

  • I was so scared of The Magician and his laugh, Was Billy De Wolfe Straight or Homosexual, if either one who was his partner?

  • @matthewmosmond77

I don't know...he's a favorite "natural" voice actor of mine along with Janet Waldo.

  • I was so scared of The Magician and his laugh

  • why did he melt?

  • IM GOING TO RAPE YOU

  • @The4everSimpsons Did he? The magician only went to do the writing so he could get presents! He whined about getting a punishment he deserved, and even says evil people deserve sympathy. I could say more, but I think you get my view; I see him as a selfish unrepentant scum!

  • Jul-26..Celebrating Christmas in July!!...

  • MAGIC BALLS.....?

  • busy busy busy 3:59

  • R.I.P Frosty The Snowman you will not be forgotten (NOT!!!!)

  • 0:13 youll notice that when he says world the scene transition doesnt match up with frostys mouth

  • LOL i member every time me and my cousin watched this, i would crack up when the magician kept saying i got to get busy writing busy busy busy and my cousin would repeat him

  • Professor: And what are you going to do about it?

Santa: I'll f&%$@* sit on you!

  • Awww the part where Santa and Hocus walk in is so sadddd :'(

  • i have one only thing to say; 3:25 WHERE DID THE CAN COME FROM????

  • I have one thing to say; 3:25 Where did the can come from???

  • I HATE BELGUIM why don't they send it out in Belguim?

  • 3:28.... the magician cries like the Cowardly Lion. Dunno about you guys, but I sure wouldn't write a hundred zillion sentences in the hopes that ***maybe*** Santa Claus will bring me a new hat. Heck, I'd just go buy one. 4:38, how's the kid gonna get off the roof??

  • @kaitiscarlett maybe through the chimney

  • @kaitiscarlett

YEAH, but the Cowardly Lion wasn't a jerk who tried to melt DOROTHY's friends!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • Hocus was real hero in this classic. He got the hat back, he talked to the Forrest animals for Karen, waited and brought back Santa. W/o hocus frosty and Karen would'a been done for. 3 cheers for the rabbit!

  • @showme816ers hooray hooray hooray

  • the narrator sounds like Chris "Boomer" Berman & 3 minute drill lol how "about them Cowboys" is what Im waiting for him to say... great memories of this show thanks for posting Merry Xmas to all!

  • @newellgirl

The narrator is Jimmy Durante. Died in 1980.

  • @SteveCarras from pneumonia yes

  • Thank you very much for posting this special Christmas classic! However, I would really appreciate it if you could clean up the editing a bit so the movie would be more streamlined. Thank you, and Merry Christmas!!!

  • i love it

  • any similar to Jack Frost (1998) when Jack takes Charlie into the cottage?

  • 14 people didn't cry the first time they saw Frosty melt.

  • re-upload at once, and this time no blending or skipping or anything!!!!

  • @TheMattBissell: Very true! Hadn't noticed that. ^_^ LOL And yes, it's quite the wonderful nostalgic trip.

  • 14 people have to right im sorry frosty cause

    i dint like you movie

  • HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!! LOL

  • Heh I almost cried...I'm 12 years old!

  • Actually, if you think about it this could kind of be like a horror movie if frosty's "death" was in there, with him screaming, "I'm melting, I'm melting!!" while Karen watches, unable to help as her friend crumbles away. Ick!

  • "Busy-busy-busy!" lol The memories are starting to come back :)

  • i snort xmas snow all the time!

  • 3:04 - :13: perfectly said, Santa.

  • :22 - :33. You 'better' be scared, buster!

  • Man... Karen went through the ringer in this cartoon. She was a real trooper, considering that all her friends left her to suffer in the cold as a hobo on a train presumably to the other side of the world while they go back home and drink cocoa. What kind of friends are these, anyway? Who lets their grammar school classmate roam the Artic alone at night with no money completely unsupervised with a strange, adult mythological being?

And what kind of kid yells out "OATMEAL?!!" Gah... -_- (j/k)

  • Write I'm sorry to Frosty 1 Hundred Zillion Times! How many is that?

  • Also you gotta fix those parts they seem messed up D8

  • When i was little i used to cry at the scene when Frosty melted :(

  • 0:35 Santa always of four of his Reindeer pulling sleigh. Where are the other four? Where's Rudolf?

  • I always hated that part when frosty melted!!!

  • this is my first time watching this. o.O And I'm 17.

  • i always hated this....

  • frosty verified santa....busyy busyyy busyyyyyyy!!!!

  • 1:46... That French horn ending always made me depressed...

  • In the Handbook of Christian Feasts and Customs, author Francis Weiser traces the origin of Santa to Thor: "Behind the name Santa Claus actually stands the figure of the pagan Germanic god Thor."

Here, [Thor] then, is the true origin of our "Santa Claus." . . . With the Christian saint whose name he still bears, however, this Santa Claus has really nothing to do.

  • That magician is such a faggot lol.

  • Why didn't Santa drop Karen off in her front yard instead of on the roof of her house?? How did she get down???

  • thank you for a piece of my childhood back...thank you much!

  • God must've lent his voice to the producers for Santa.

  • @NWpowerhouse85 Yes he must've

  • I cried like a baby every time Frosty melted :(

  • @KawanahaJesusFreak me too...still do!

  • @KawanahaJesusFreak I used to be so angry at that stupid magician...

  • @Jennafu832 Well Santa pwned him did he not?

  • I don't understand why Karen didn't smash the windows in the greenhouse so that the cold air could enter it and Frosty wouldn't melt. Instead, she folded under pressure like a cheap suit.

  • yay Christmas snow!

  • I love this movie! It does bring back great memories:)

  • Okay, this is the one thing that bothers me about this special...

They leave the girl on the roof of her house! For a cartoon Christmas special that is pretty harsh. LoL!

  • @KinkyCreamPuffJ Santa was in a hurry, I presume. Karen is a good sport, though, she put up with lots of adversity and is a champion!

  • santa speaks fluent rabbit lol

  • Santa don't play.

  • I have to say, no offense to any Jimmy Dutante fans on here, but I notice he dosen't have much of a singing voice like the other guys who both sang and narrated the other Rankin/Bass Christmas specials. I do perfer his narration over his singing.

  • @sillygrl23 I love Jimmy Durante! My Italian ancestors were named Durante, so he's my cousin, I'll bet! We with Lombardy heritage are lucky people!

  • @ILoveSexyArabicWomen He is a funny guy granted I have never seen any of his movies or live-action performances, probably this here is the only thing I have ever known him from, so that is why I like his narrating because its just sounds so descriptive and lively to fit the whimsy of this story.

  • kick his ass santa! that's what he will do! poor frosty

  • My absolute favorite Christmas cartoon! I love you, Frosty.

  • @jimbojamesIV Dude, it's called having an imagination. You should try it sometime.

  • When I was probably 4-5 years old, my mother tells me when frosty melted in the hot house I burst into tears. When the little girl cried I cried even harder. It was my first introduction into somebody (even an animated character) possibly dying and not coming back. Even after he came back to life again, it took me awhile to compose myself. Awww....poor kid! I'm better now. :)

  • most definetly brings youback to your childhood when watching this video.....half of christmas was waiting for these shows to be on!

  • a good movie for winter

  • It brings back memories everytime I watch this movie! I Love Frosty The Snowman! I Even remember when they had lobster tanks in wal-mart! Thumbs up if u love frosty the snowman and remember lobster tanks in wal-mart!

  • I still cry when Frosty melts, Thumbs up if you do to

  • @shootingstar694

    Yeah, I do, too.

  • I still cry when Frosty melts, Thumbs up if you do to

  • "Now you go home and write 'I am very sorry for what I did to Frosty' a hundred zillion times."

  • I still tear up when Karen was crying over Frosty the Puddle.

  • @MewMinto34 That mean old professor!!! Why couldn't he let Frosty be? The fact he didn't cry shows what a heartless jerk he really was!

  • wow someones not in the christmas spirit!!! lol

  • This is where I ball my eyes out!

  • Hey all you morons stop analyzing this cartoon like it's a Dr. Phil segment. It's a childrens' program for cryin' out loud. Get a life.

  • @lilpoodle9 It always made me sad as a kid too. :<

  • I hope everyone expressing feel good comments understands the incredible manipulation and propaganda that this sort of cartoon is--probably all cartoons. It's incredibly insidious, just take a look at the IMDB first review of Santa Claus is coming to Town. If you do, you may understand how it manipulates the viewer to the extent that it becomes a compulsion, and once that is done, they can insert any message they want, including that it's okay to tell children that snowmen can come to life.

  • @jimbojamesIV You suck.

  • Comment removed

  • @jimbojamesIV you must have had a terrible childhood if you cant enjoy something that is meant to inspire Christmas spirit and giving. Children know that its make believe.

  • @jimbojamesIV You need to get laid. lol your psychologically breaking down a children's Christmas movie.

the movie was simply made to inspire fictional Christmas spirit for children and stretch a child's imagination.

you on the other hand need to have sex or get off of youtube and live a little

  • @jimbojamesIV Geeze, I hate to think what your childhood was like if that is what you think....it must have been crappy if you are going out of your way to analyze a Christmas Cartoon. And half of what you are saying dosen't even make any sense. Do you actually read what you type? Because you should before you post your comments

  • @sillygrl23 , True !

  • Hope that everyone has a merry christmas!! :)

  • 0:46 - best line of the whole show.

  • two balls made out of coal

  • Still love this special after all these years! LMAO @ at the Magician mouthing off to Santa: "And just what are YOU going to do about it?" What a pansy! Uhhh, Mr. Magician, check your vision--I believe Santa's a great deal bigger than you, buddy boy! One punch and you'd been looking for your teeth in the snow (not that Santa would resort to something like that, I'm just sayin'...) LIke others have said, Christmas isn't Christmas without shows like this! :-)

  • aww... i miss the good old cartoon shows but unfortunately the new cartoon shows are not really that good in content anymore.

This show, Frosty, Santa and his reindeers always brings out the child within us:)

!t's almost Christmas everyone! I hope it will be a happy one.

  • still love the rabbit

  • @CAPRICORNCUTIE yea I love the rabbit as well

  • Best Santa ever :)

  • awww

hehe i miss stuff like this, nowadays tv programming sucks balls

  • Anyone who doesn't cry their eyes out when Frosty melts just isn't human.

  • i just love watching this movie during the christamas days just wonderfull

  • When he melts...I still cry even as an adult -_- good movie,no matter what age!

  • wtf go to hell magicanen
