  • Can anybody tell me the song that is played in the backgroudn in the very beginning where she enters?

  • Santiago

  • When she smiles, I smile. When she is sad, I almost cry.

  • @agquarx So it's like the ET- little guy relationship. I bet that sometimes you become aroused and don't know why, well, there's probably something nice going on with Loreena.

  • Aw, that question! Her expression subtly changed. Why do they ask that kind of questions? Breaks my heart.

  • I completely and totaly adore her, she's an angel!!! i hated when her eyes turned sad at the mention of ronald, it makes me want to cry when i see her sad!

  • first time i heard her music was when i was around 4 or 5 years old, my dad had it playing while he cleaned the house, im glad that he did, her music is beautiful

  • Hahahaha her laugh!

  • Well she took a long break after her boyfriend died she didnt do any cds from new cds from 1997 until 2006 so almost 10 years.

  • I love her laugh !!!

  • Who is the hot blonde in the middle?

  • @nurktwin1960: Annie Villeneuve, a contestant of the 2003 edition of "Star Academie" (Quebec equivalent of "Americal Idol". She has a twin sister (Suzie) who isn't as gorgeous as her.

  • @nurktwin1960 really holy crap dude take a walk around the block you'll find something hotter

  • @bundlesofmsg Realy? Dude, if you don't think the blond is hot, you need your eyes checked.

  • Neither do I like Guy A. Lepage and his show, the way he has all his predictable, shallow questions ready in advance, and just reads them one after the other... I personally think he is way better a comic than an interviewer.

But anyway, the point of this video is Loreena McKennit, and she, undoubtfully, is worth listening. She is amazing, natural and beautiful as always.

  • Thanks for the translation!

  • Awesome. Amazing interview. Thanks for posting it. Much love and respect for Loreena McKennett.

  • I adore this girl. She reminds me of my grandmother, but that's a good thing(:

  • Who's the guy all the way on the right?

  • Nico Archambault, the winner of the first season of "So You Think You Can Dance Canada"

  • I LOVE HER

  • This is my first time finally getting to hear her speak. What a lovely Lady she is, I very much enjoyed learning a bit about her and the French way of ending a visit literally cracked me up!!! "I Loved it!!!

  • @GARBINATOR1

Just to put the record straight.... That's not a French show. It's a French CANADIAN show.

  • The host is a moron. He speaks like a moron and is barely understandable.

  • A comment like that should be directed to someone who speaks your native language. If you speak French, you'll find his 'speaking' very understandable.

  • @Lyverbe2 I wouldn't say "very" understable though... As a speaker of both French and English, I had more trouble understanding ... him at times, than her.

  • @Lyverbe2 Scar did not say that the host is not understandabla at all, but said that he's a moron which I totally agree.

  • You forgot he's from Quebec: that's his accent, maybe hard to understand - even for me - but is something he's very proud of. I don't think you should judge a person or a culture if you don't know it.

  • @Scar246 He is indeed a complete and utter moron, but for bringing up her fiance's death in the interview.

  • @taticastro : Why? Being fans, we all know about it, but not everybody does. He tried to be as informative as he could. If she didn't want to talk about it, she would've told him before the show or at least said "I don't want to talk about it" and they would have cut this part out in editing.

  • @Lyverbe2 you are right. It's just that i hate it when her smile fades...

  • @Lyverbe2 Glad I read the statements before I thought to play the vid - I didn't watch it, but I'm shocked by the casual attitude of some. Put yourself in her place: would you want to be constantly reminded of that tragedy? My father's right, "There's no such thing as common sense." People should be considerate about personal matters. Anyone informed should know she's a private person, and it wasn't necessary to bring up a hurt like that. Focus on her music, as you should. Let the rest alone.

  • @Scar246 That's because he is speaking French.

  • wow this host is baaaad

  • I agree! He said everything from the corney/cheezy to the inappropriate and/or unnecessary! Does he do that with everyone he interviews?! She's a good sport to put up with him!

  • I think that was a little unneccessary about her fiance....

  • She could have said "I don't want to talk about it" and that would have edit it out of the show. Instead, she chose to answer meaning she accepted the question. Everyone whinning about that question should too. When being interviewed, you cannot expect every single question to be white.

  • @Lyverbe2 what exactly are you talking about?

  • thanks for sharing Alex :-)

  • As always, madame McKennitt has a charming presence, whether in interviews or live performances, that is becoming unfortunately rare among self-proclaimed main stream "artists". A true talented lady with a natural class.

    Thanks for posting, Alex

  • @ krysstyan : Sauf erreur de ma part, elle a toujours dit avoir découvert la musique celte et Alan Stivell dans les années 70 ! Rien de nouveau

  • I love her voice, her laugh...

    Thanks for sahre this

  • C'est Alan Stivell qui va être content d'apprendre que c'est lui qui a inspiré à Loreena de jouer de la harpe !
