Disney should build one of these things. Instead of an airport on the top deck, build a theme park. The top five floors could be the park, followed by shopping, convention and hotel space.

Build it off the coast of Southern California, maybe docked to a pier and linked to the existing Disneyland Resort by high speed monorail.

honestly, this project probably won't get off the ground. the official website hasn't updated on progress in over a year, the company (Freedom Ship International) has stopped accepting investors, the company is already planning health and educational plans for it even though they still haven't designed an actual deck plan for the ship, and I have an unverified report that one of it's directors made one vaguely critical comment about the project and was fired.

i read about this project a little, appearently that guy started in 1993! i wonder how much money he made since, out of that scam. Since part of the concept involves luring rich customers to buy apartments, they really ought to reconsider making the entire roof a runway pad. It might (or might not) be practical, but it's aesthetically hideous.

I would say as a whole it looks like a floating mall with a bunch of asphalt on top. This is not a very appealing design and needs to be seriously rethought if they wish to attract more interest from investors.

This sounds like history is repeating itself like this will be the next Titanic. It's supposed to be all revolutionary and the biggest ship for civilians ever and such but I think something unexpected will happen, just like with the Titanic.
