@robotadventures Gunz or nick name Gunz-ie is what the west likes to call GSI. the older labeled bottle were labeled like this which are still in circulation on store shelves.

Would you recommend me air brushing GNX MG really basic colours i think i have the ability cause spray painted and just brushed pain abit

I happy to teach you how to paint but color schemes is purely up to the hobbyist. You are right in a basic scheme as you are new to airbrushing (forget camo patterns/ masking for a few models). But are free to use what ever color you like.

I went to go get some thinner bcz i just wanted to start from scratch on a messy paint job of mine that i did with model master acrylic

and i didnt know which one to get so i got the ethyl rubbing alcohol

it doesnt work terribly fast, and i have to leave the parts soaking in some tupperware for a while before i can rub down the paint easily

should i get the isopropyl or should i keep what I have

and am i cleaning the kit properly this way?

@smpleleo Sounds like its working ok. I think waiting awhile beats a super strong thinner removing the paint in a second and melting the kit before your eyes. If its working stick to it ...

It's a lot like Mr. Color you should be able to thin it with Mr. Color thinner too

Hello men, what do you think about createx color for paint model kits, i've used tamiya colors with thinner but the paint got stuck after dry

@Say0n I have not had the pleasure of using createx, you will have to tell me more about it. It looks like a airbrush ready paint which is handy should be good for models.

Tamiya can dry to fast, buy some acrylic retard medium and add two or three drops plus extra thinner. That should solve your problem...

Airbrush tutorials!

I've been looking around at possibly getting an airbrush set-up, so these videos are going to be rather helpful, I think... :)

Some of this information I knew before; much of it I didn't.

But it all makes sense, and for me, is very easy to understand. (The drawings help... xD)

I know you said you can clean up with it, but is it advisable to actually thin the acrylic paints with the metholated spirits (isopropyl alchohol), or should you only use the Tamiya thinner?

@crapmunky99 thanks, you can thin with isopropyl alchohol and tamiya thinner, metho leaves a funny texture...

I've got a lot more of that isopropyl alcohol than I do Tamiya thinner, and it's much cheaper to replace too... :)

@crapmunky99 Methylated spirits and isopropyl alcohol are not the same thing. There are actually two kinds of isopropyl alcohol. One eats ABS plastic and the other does not. See the Gundam Australia Forum Engineering Corps section for more.
