I would not rank most of this stuff best of 2006. Most of it is just a bunch of emo shit (except for Prototype; they are far from emo, and they are fucking amazing). Hope part 2 is better.

listen to "the guillotine" by escape the fate. both part 1 and 2. not to prove anything to you but thats in my opinion some good hardcore metal... without being too heavy and losing it's musical side. wait for the guitar near the end... nice tone.

dont put these guys down, they had some awesome guitarist who left cos the lead singer was on drugs and fucking up the band. now he is in prison for being involved in a fight... long story.
