Obama's speech writer feeds him the lines that make him such a great orator. He reads his lines off of a teleprompter, while his twenty something speech writer goes uncredited. The speech writer should run for president! This is why he is so dry in debates and chooses to stay away from them.
Why do so many union organizations flock to Obama? Change? Unions are nothing more than big business and some of the most powerful lobbyists in government. Change is nothing more than hype!!
Change? What changes has he made as a senator when more than 90% of the time he votes with his party? What change are you talking about? As a senator he has had the opportunity to bring about change; in fact, the position of a senator is a platform for change. His senate record should reflect that.
Loved attending this event. I was so inspired as was everyone else who came out to see Mr. Obama. I have a video of photos taken outside as well as inside of the Lee E. Williams Assembly Center. The diverse crowd was a beautiful thing!! Go Obama! Yes WE Can!
True Love is forever Not diamonds you would agree If you really believe in Allah The One Who Create you and me Barack is a man God May Bless If it is God ALONE whom he serves And not some "Special" Interest Or even his very own self And if in his true love for God he loves you You are lucky to have a love that is true
This guys is frightening. All smoke and mirrors and snake oil. Wake up people, he is using "hope and change" for his own purely ambitious gains. Small politics? He plays them every day. There is a lot you don't know about Obama and I believe you will be disappointed when you find out.
Well for me, Gillz 17, it's not so much his stance on major issues, because I think that everyone can agree that Hillary and Barack can agree on most issues. It's more so the common sense and clarity of how Obama makes his case. Hillary claims to be just like Obama plus experience, but the truth is that she's a hypocrite or old school politician, the exact opposite of Obama. She's already shown signs of saying one thing and doing another (hint: the video).
I was at this event, and I was just amazed at how many people were at JSU!! There were folks standing out in line at noon when Barack wasn't slated to start speaking until 5:30!! Because of the huge turnout, a lot of people were turned away from the building, but supposedly he gave the same speech to them before coming in.
He is right. The fat cats are getting twitchy. They'll be getting very nervous. This race will get even uglier than now, when he wins the nom. We, the people, need to be strong and support this change. We are going to be bombarded with slime and fear-ridden attacks. I hope the people will be able to see it for what it is. It worries me because clearly the Clinton-supporters cannot see her for what she is! Oh people stay strong, just like Barak asks of us.
I think this man is genuine, and cares for America and all its citizens. I dont feel that way about the other candidates. I am honestly worried about our future if Barack does not win this election.
Yes luvgifmissyg, just imagine how the world's view of us would change if we elect this man. Certainly not politics as usual, and with a refreshing answer to the problems he has already faced. Everytime he speaks I feel like somebody turned on a light. A light of understanding and cooperation for mutual good between all perspectives of an issue.
Barack is battling TWO other "would-be"s right now and doing a great job . How could he not be experienced? Come on Mississippi! Come on Pennsylvania! Let's show em' that America wants Barack Obama for president!
what does everyone think about Senator Jim Webb for Obama's vp? sure, he doesn't have a lot of washington experience, but doesn't that keep with obama's message of change? webb is a military vet and would be the perfect attack dog against mccain. plus, he could help obama win virginia.
Kathleen Sebelius has a Master of Public Administration degree from the University of Kansas. The daughter of former Ohio governor John J. Gilligan, and thus they became the first father/daughter governor pair in the United States after her election.
Strong ethics in government! She will make every women proud!
I heard her speak before the Ohio primaries and she came across as a leader who has incredible knowledge of issues, problem that need to be tackled and vision that would move things forward. She is very real and genuine something Hillary is not or does not seem to be. I thought she could be president after Obama but if she was on the ticket it would be really great!
Please explain more in depth for me. Obama gives good speeches and provides people with motivation but that does not mean he is qualified for the Presidency. What specifically do you like about his stance on major issues? In other words, what is his stance on major issues that you feel will not have unintended consequences. Thanks for your thoughts.
Have you been to his website? His WHOLE plan is laid out there. Hillary and Barack have some of the same ideas with suttle differences. It really boils down to character and who do you trust. For me, it's him. He isn't perfect, but I trust his judgement on most issues.
If you watch the whole clip, you will know Obama is tough, he rips into the Clintons NAFTA, the robe in Kenya, the VeeP, the Phone call, kitchen sink talk, all at one go.
The was fired up and ready to go.
He poke fun at the Clinton campaign it was classic. And the crowds loved it. Look for the whole clip guys.
Please copy and paste the link below to sign a petition urging Senator Obama not to consider any configuration of a joint ticket that includes Senator Hillary Clinton. Let your voices be heard! Remember to delete the word dot and replace it with a period.
In November 2005 Time named Sebelius as one of the five best governors in America, praising her for eliminating a $1.1 billion debt she inherited, ferreting out waste in state government, and strongly supporting public education — all without raising taxes. Also praised was her bipartisan approach to governing, a useful trait in a state where Republicans have usually controlled the Legislature
In February 2006 the White House Project named Sebelius one of its "8 in '08", a group of eight female politicians who could possibly run and/or be elected president in 2008.
There are two forces in the world, the forces of democracy and people power and the forces of theocracy and power in the hands of the few. I think Obama is apart of the people power force.
Gotta like dems that win in red states. Dems that focus on making life better for folks working at Walmart for $7/hour, Not Northeast dems that want to fight old battles from the 60's. Obama/Sebelius 08

But, I really LOVE kathleen..she will be a great role model!
I don't think Sebelius would be the best choice for VP. Her response to the state of the nation speech was rather poor, in my opinion. I think McCaskill of Missouri would be far better.
Register and vote, Clinton don't want you to know how much money she and her husband had made in the past, because of a possibility of some dirty stuff coming out into the light. She don't want you to know about Obama's plan and instead she'll keep attacking him because of the chance of loosing the only thing she really care about in life, and all she care about is the Clintons status; not people's needs! I'm inviting you to get informed and to not be blindfolded by the Clinton campaign...!
I love the Internet; easy access to check voting records, Senate websites and read the whole darn bills if I care to. I like the work Senator Obama has done already; especially on behalf of our Veterans, including the homeless Iraqi war vets. He does not just talk about change, he puts ideas into action.
I'm glad Obama is finally responding to Hillary Clinton's perversion of people's excitement. Just because people think Obama is great doesn't mean they are stupid.
The problem is that Boxer does not add states to the win column. We know we will win California. What is unclear is how many western states will go Dem in the face of the anti-constitutional, wire tapping, war mongering, budget busting republicans.
