  • where can i learn how to rap?

  • @CHANTELwithaLUKACHKO 2 suggestions. I can certainly teach you to rap - private lessons in person or Skype. Also check out my website, SingLikeYouSpeak. com for online lessons. It's best to work with someone who knows about the voice and how to make it very rhythmic and clear and hard-driving w/out hurting your voice.

  • Great video we need more girls like you ;)

  • @EvazivSounds What a complement! Thank you. Are you a rapper?

  • @SingLikeYouSpeak : Yes i am a rapper.

  • @EvazivSounds Do you have an album? Working on something?

  • @SingLikeYouSpeak : I have 2 songs on my channel but is not in english.I sing the verse and my friend the chorus.

  • @EvazivSounds Wow! I'm listening to your first track on your channel. I'm so surprised - the music is wonderful. Love the instrumentation and you used auto tune very tastefully. Interesting use of rap/singing. I'd love to work with you. I think your music is good - and commercially viable. All the best!

  • I don't have a squeeky voice like you said, I just mumble a lot which affects it. :)

  • @shyko95 Can't mumble and be a rapper! Listen to the sound of your own voice when you speak and correct it when you are mumbling.

  • @SingLikeYouSpeak I know! But it's hard to project my voice. :/

  • @shyko95 Consonants! They are the action of our words. Spit out your consonants to get the clarity and rhythm you want. Try it!

  • wtf

  • I recommend EVERYONE to sign up and watch the FREE GIFT video that learns the 7 rules which WILL BE useful !

    Thank you so much.

  • @LAZrailkapinda You're so welcome! Feel free to spread the word. Happy I can help.

YOU will NEVERR sound like drake or have a sexy tonal vocal delivery system if you HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO idea how to even go up in down or jump from a note to the other note (in melody/key range) .... IF U dont have annnnny knowledge of key/suppose the simple Key of C (major) . .... fucking practice on the piano, (google the key of C) ...

  • ^^^^^^ .... like what you hear?? be in the zone. own it . deliver it like your talking to someone. now --that fuzzy feeling in your stomach w/ your first childhood crush.. butterfly feeling... that is the KEY component to the renasounce /fluxuation of your vocal tone. DONT fucking try to sing. DONT TRY TO BE DRAKE- DONT TRY TO 'SOUND' like no body....

  • hey i just found your video and i would like to know do you have to be born talented to rap and sing or can you learn because i love rap would love to do it but i really dont have the voice =(

  • @MegaGreva Talent is only about 10% of the equation. The other 90% is working at it - studying, listening, watching live performances. The people who have made it as rappers didn't just walk out on stage and start doing it. They worked to get there! My website is helpful - check it out and get a free video - SingLikeYouSpeak. com All the best!

  • hey i like what you do and im an unsigned rapper and i sing in some of my songs kinda like drake does but i need abit of work on my vocals.is there any of you videos that can help me on your website?? thankz

  • @lorenzo8571 Hi, I have plenty of videos that would help. Take a look at SingLIkeYouSpeak. com and SingerQuickFix. com. They both have free videos - and some you can purchase. All the best to you!

  • "shorty you the best, you the you the best." Come on Gabusai this Young Money garbage is all over the radio. Ew! But Miss Morgan is right, Drake is very talented, kind a like a Toronto Nelly but with punchline game.

  • what is that video by drake anyone?

  • talking a way what the crap lol

  • im a rapper i have a show in two days i practice like hell what exercises can i do to get my voice better for rap

  • @rapperjak Hi. when you are practicing remember a couple of things: keep your jaw loose and speak from your gut. this will deepen your tone and keep you focused. say all your words VERY clearly. Good Luck!

  • great video

  • @JohnF30Music Glad you liked it! are you a rapper?

  • A white girl can rap?

  • @gotwarnick1 Absolutely! The important thing about rap is the rhythm and clarity. Make the rap about your life experience. Good luck!

  • which allows artists like Drake, and a better example in rap is Nelly who has a very melodic flow. theres a lot more but these artists, have gotten good at singing from the same place they speak from.

  • @njreason Again, agreed

  • i had to chime in on this one...... the main difference between talking and rapping, is that in speaking to a person is the rhythm. granted everyone has a rhythm to their speech, in rap the rhythm isnt set by you its set from an outside source. without the rhythm it is spoken word....with that being said there are a load of teachers out there teaching "Speech-Level singing" and those techniques allow you to open up your range to the point where you can go from one range to the next seamlessly..

  • @njreason Agreed on the rhythm point. I don't see where range comes into this discussion... And this is NOT speech level singing, it's a different technique altogether.

  • I don't like my rap voice......it holds me back...I gotta find a different voice and style lol

  • @PdubzCrew Try looking at it that you are holding you rap voice back - w/some sort of physical tension or by pushing the voice out Get into the rhythm and see if that makes a difference

  • @SingLikeYouSpeak

Thank you for this video and tip you've given ! I'll try my best

  • Yes. When I work w/rappers we work on diction as well as a lot of rhythm work.

  • da fuck is dis old bitch doing showing how to rap and sing rofl

  • @t0ast20123 as a matter of fact, dis old bitch works with artists - including rappers and they think I know what I"m doing and trust me implicitly.

  • @SingLikeYouSpeak Hmm... o.o

  • but the guy in the video was liek incredibly auto-tuned :O

  • @kageyTM Agreed. It's tough to find a pop/rap, any artist who sings well w/out auto tune. Sad

  • everyone can sing like they speak.. its all about singing how you dont speak.. fuck this crap.

  • its just not working for me T_T

  • shes a DRAKEE fan haha awsomee

  • Matisyahus good. My vocal teacher told me to take speech lessons.

  • @setu75 Do you know why your voice teacher told you to take speech lessons? I tell my students that everything we do for their singing also applies to their speech. Find out why and let me know. I'm curious.

    breathe

    Sally

  • @sallymmorgan I think because when you start singing rap, sometimes phrases gets alot quicker and its hard becuase most of the time its ryhmes and then they ebcome tounge twisters, soo i say u should take speeck lessons to pronounce correctly

  • @sallymmorgan if you really respect what that homo drake does, watch Bone Thugs-N-Harmony (the originators of singing and rapping) watch the video by krayzie bone - Hard To Let Go AND Not Your Average they are WAYYYYYY better than drake and have been sing rapping since early 90's would love for you to give them a shout out on one of your videos and if you shoot me a link i will be very happy :)

  • theirs a difference from talking and rapping

  • @beastfulnite Can you explain the difference?

  • @SingLikeYouSpeak is what your saying in this video rapping. no. your talking. when your rapping your expressing something emotional. if you talk rap lyrics your not rapping. you need true meaning. you need a reason but for the most part rapping cant be easily explained. its a different type of singing and singing is a different type of rapping. thats the best way i can explain it without getting to into it

  • @beastfulnite Thank you for your honest reply. You are absolutely right. It's the same with singers - if you are not expressing something, communicating with someone, then it's just noise. I don't think any art is easily explained - that's why so few people do it well.

  • @SingLikeYouSpeak yes. sorry for bothering you but i just hate it when people say rapping is talking.

  • SWEET! She put a Drake clip in her video lol

  • i wanna hear her rap lol

btw drake isn't a good example, he can't sing live at all, the best example you should use is someone like lauryn hill, listen to doo wop cause she raps and sings VERY good.. but yeah i respect what you're sayin

  • thnx

  • yeah :]
